We take videos of Gavin, since he can't see photos. The sound on the video is the way he can remember certain things in his life, which create memories.
As a mother I have to agree, it's a natural thing I guess cause you feel for the mother and how she must feel, and my daughter is now 16... This is one tough little boy, he's going to be just fine.
At only 4 years old, this child is stronger than some adults years ahead of him. God will bless this child with so much more than sight in his life. He will be an inspiration to others, and impact lives in ways other people cant. YOU ARE A STRONG MAN IN TRAINING GAVIN!!!
I can almost imagine the mom getting teary-eyed...the way her voice cracks a little. Way to go mom! This Gavin boy will be one amazing individual in the future... I'm already a fan :)
BX0207 Why did this "God" of yours make him blind in the first place? The boy learned to use the stick all without "God's" help and he can manage without him. Get out of here with your religious crap.
C'mon mate! It's just a tiny piece of the comment he/she made...I mean, I'm not religious and quite frankly I'm tired of hearing about God-this and God-that. But still, I bet this commentor has NEVER done anything wrong to me, and will neither. What I'm saying is...just let it go man, appreciate the positive message and if it really bothers you, ignore it, as I do. On a much positive note however! This video made me happy, and really is heartwarming to see. That sweet voice though! And the mothers support AND confidence that he won't fall, amazing.
Tosy120 The reason why I post comments like this is to make people think. Like how can someone believe in those fairy tales about a man who turns water into wine and a 500 hundred year old man who got 2 of every species to join him on his "cruise ship". It really makes me sad how many people has gotten brainwashed. The video made me happy too, nice to see something this heartwarming on the interwebs for a change.
I started crying while watching this it is so beautiful to see that this little boy finds so much pleasure in just walking off a curb safely while the rest of us are so absorbed in our own silly little things god bless you
Hi, I had a Stroke at 27 yrs. old back in 2014 and I originally saw this video while still in the hospital, learning to walk again."I CAN DO IT" was my motto and still is daily as my left side (arm & leg) never came back. I have been searching for him on and off ever since to thank him for his inspiration... So, Gavin, if this comment reaches you, THANK YOU SO MUCH! And to everyone else that reads this, if he and "I can do it", you can too!
I am crying because I am so proud of this boy that I never met. Thank you. Gavin, you have obviously great parents and you...are an incredible little man that has inspired an old man so much!
Beautiful video and supportive mother. Reminds me of my sister when little with my mommy. My sister was born blind. Mothers are our best supporters. God bless you Gavin. Praying for your success :)
Great video, nothing to be ashamed off. When i go to work i always see a 18 yr old blind guy walking through the crowd and crossing streets. He must feel / hear the street much better then i ever will. World class.
Aw, c'mon...quit making a grown man cry. Atta boy, Gavin! Don't know you, but still so very proud for you. Never give up, never say quit, and never let a living soul ever tell you that there's anything you can't do. Your life's motto should forever be "I can do it"
Your love and devotion, as well as encouragement, is phenomenal! Gavin is lucky in more ways than we "normal" people can appreciate. Keep up the great work!
You think about this stuff the wrong way. Imagine having a child that you wish you could throw a ball with or teach him how to ride a bike. But instead teaching him to live his life normal as possible. This video has really changed my life. God bless you all
I got a 5 year old seeing this video I can't help but to cry what a brave strong little boy and what an amazing mother she is nothing but love over here
When he said "i can do it!" Im crying so much right now course of how determined he is to do something and i really want to thanks to their beautiful parent that raised him to be such a beautiful person! 😭😭😭😭😭
Absolutely adorable it is unbelievable how much independance our children have and I would not change that at all. Shianne is doing great with her cane aswell and it amazes me how far they will go to try thing by themselves. Good job Gavin xx
How sweet to hear him encourage himself saying "I can to it!" As adults we can Learn from him and encourage ourselves in seemingly impossible or difficult situations. We should just simply say, "I Can Do It!" AMEN!
The most beautiful 46 seconds I've ever watched. He's so brave and embraces his disability with such strength. Your son is breathtaking, you should feel very proud and lucky! And thank you for sharing this with us :)
Being almost partially blind myself, I have a very small idea of what he must have had to go through to be able to do this. He's an amazing person already, at the age of 4. I have many of my own problems and it's videos like Gavin's that give me the strength to push on and combat my own issues. I am sooo proud of him and honored to of been able to see this video. Keep up the great work little dude!
I just read about Gavin's story... cute and brave boy Gavin - you are so lucky to have such a loving and proactive mom rooting you on and raising awareness about your condition
I never get tired of sharing this video with family and friends. I never get tired of witnessing the bravery and heart this young man possesses. God Bless
Bravo little guy!! I have a son about his age! This is so sweet!the little things we take for granted everyday is a new strange experience for others and he is so courageous! My son just cries when he thinks he can't do something or is too scared. :) big hugs to y'all fir sharing your sweet little angel with the world! I hope you will let him know that people are proud of him :)
Great job little man ! You can do anything your heart desires , with the support of family everything is possible . Respect for this little brave kid . This is really touching . You are such a brave young boy . "You can do it" Gavin , You can do anything !
Oh my goodness. Tears started welling up at the 5 sec mark, almost lost it around 20 sec, but I got it together by the end. Puts things into perspective for you. The resiliency of the human spirit moves on!
Wow. The love of Gavin's parent for their child is obvious, you can hear it in the voices. God gives children with issues to parents with big hearts who can help them , and it's clear God chose Gavin's parent's well. I can only wish to have the courage and bravery of Gavin.
I have had near perfect sight for 58 years, ride a cruiser superbike and complain about growing older & not being able to ride anymore...& this awesome little fella is vision impaired from birth!. Respect ....to the parents also.God bless him that one day he'll ride a BossHoss bike !!
Wow very inspiring my heart goes out to this family I have a son that was born deaf and I know all the struggles and frustrations we go thru as parents but I wouldn't change a thing my son has taught me so much an is an inspiration to me and I'm sure you guys feel the same about Gavin
As a parent to three just daily life is tough (or so I thought). What an eye opening story for me. I'm so happy that there are parents (people) in the world who are doing such an excellent job raising kids. Prayers for you guys and I know only good things will continue to come your way :) Love from Arkansas.
Truly beautiful to watch him do that. I pray you and Gavin continue doing well and keep good spirits. I'm sure this has inspired more people than you can imagine.
Don't bother deleting them! Just don't read them! Anyone who post negativity probably doesn't mean it and they just want to release their anger through being a jerk on the internet knowing there will be no personal consequences. Whatever they say has no credence. This is beautiful and your son is awesome and I'm positive if you guys keep up with the encouragement that the video shows and he works hard like he did in the video that he'll grow up to be a great young man!
