I love the dichotomy of 4 zealots vs 4 Ogryns. The zealots are just humorous music and rushing in to enemies while Ogryns make use of tactics and blare the best of Darktide’s soundtrack on occasion. It’s like the bone’eds are taking this more seriously than the priests.
Hey Okoii, VA for the Judge Zealot here, I just wanna say I’m absolutely loving your videos. Thanks for giving us the most accurate depiction of “True Zealot Tactics™️” to date! Keep up the good work and remember - THERE IS NO FORGIVENESS!!
@@absolutelyyousless7605 Mankind is made in His image, thus are blessed with one. This Okoii you speak of, it has its purposes, but to assume such a thing is HERESY!
That Demonhost when he's back in the Warp will just say. Demonhost: God damn, I encountered a Primarch! Just so that he can save the little pride he has left.
When the beast of Nurgle ate the zealot, I had this image in my head of the frame freezing, the beast becoming a black silhouette and the zealot becoming visible inside the beast continuing to stab it from inside relentlessly and I was so amused.
@@Okoii which direction do these bangers blow in? We talking the dying fetus/meshuggah/d.e.p route or the lamb chops play along song that never ends/hey dude theme song/skidamarinkidinkidink route? Or just more cory wong and the remixes? Good god man we need these answers. Every second of everyday that you don't share, a starving playlist in Africa dies. In the arms of the angels...
My best darktide experience : running a heresy assassination has preacher with a knife and basic clothes, the other people picked up knives and rags aswell. London subway experience
Well, if you recall, the guys who found an STC for a slightly sharper knife were each rewarded with a PLANET ! So, in retrospect, that makes sense now...
I've done 4 flame psykers once on damnation and let me tell you brother. 4 fire ults going off constantly is the most disgusting thing I've ever seen. We facerolled the mission as o hard
@@quint3ssent1a I hope it is add to the Ogryn's arsenal. I like the heavy stubber, but the explosive power of a rapid fire rocket propelled explosives would be amazing.
@@youngthinker1 problem being the balancing on those puppies, the reload and draw time will probably suuuuuuck But think of the dakka, man, the dakkaaaaa
I ended up in a fluke 4 Veteran run this week, just taking a low intensity difficulty 2 mission for a quick and easy mission clear for sake of contracts. I can only assume that everyone else had the same idea, since almost all of us had the rapid fire recon lazguns. The entire mission was just purely sprinting from point to point, slowing only to shoot on the move, and then sprinting to get ahead of the next guy that slowed to shoot again. It _almost_ felt tactical, due to the staggered gunfire moving from point to point, covering each others advance by pure nature of how the guns worked out together. I thought we'd run out of ammo, but it was all done so quickly that barely anything had a chance to spawn. Every horde that did show, got hammered with a four man barrage of grenades, and then we just marched through blasting the survivors. Definitely one of my favourite runs with randoms, for how hilariously fast and smooth it all was.
cultist fanatic: Almighty daemon host we have a problem! Daemon host: what is it? are those imperial rejects back. Cultist fanatic: NO worse its the British and they have shanks!!! Daemon host: OH NO!!
"I am sorry my grandson, but you were banished by WHAT?" "4 fanatics with shivs, grandpa Nurgle..." "..." "..." "It's alright. Have some rot cookies and lightly warm pus milk. I love you."
Something deeply hilarious about how one of the zealots most powerful weapons is just a knife, especially if the Inquisitor Grendel is the very same of legend.
@@opusmagnus26 Nah but he does have a track record of killing daemonhosts, greater daemons, and a literal daemon prince with a standard combat knife. (Now to be fair these are all a combination of dumb luck, the emperors will, and having a lot of backup shooting said terror from the other side of the veil before he stabs it out of desperation/terror but still.)
@@opusmagnus26 A player in the Dark Heresy tabletop made an adept scribe character called Grendel. Adept scribes are super knowledgeable but trash at fighting, since their character type usually focuses on accruing political power/forbidden lore/investigation skills and lacks any form of resilience other characters have. Due to a series of heroic actions and highly improbable good luck, Grendel ended up becoming a living saint candidate for annihilating great champions of chaos with a regular knife. The authors of the warhammer TTRPG systems then decided to make Grendel canon as a gesture of love to the community. To put things in context, killing even a minor demon with a combat knife is like destroying a baneblade with a laspistol. Killing a demon prince with a combat knife is like shooting an Emperor class battleship down from low orbit with a laspistol
Playing 4 zealots with flamethrower is like: Players: Hey Fatshark, can we play as Adepta Sororitas in Darktide ? Fatshark: .... here...take it or leave it...
I'm taking that shit! ALL OF IT! I just made mine female for the sake of trying to emulate the Sororitas. By now, you can be a Death Cult Assassin as an alternate skill tree option, complete with the ability to do backstab damage. Can Veteran Commandos do backstab damage?
@@opusmagnus26 "It was either work with the Inquisition and wield a glorious flamer to righteously incinerate the enemies of the Emperor, or become a Repentia. The choice was easy."
Since it's surprisingly absent from this video, I have to ask: Did you know that you can brace the flamer, hold down the fire button, and then use class ability to charge into the enemies while maintaining fire (even keep going for a second charge with correct feat in last column)? It's not very logical because jet engines usually point backwards, but that doesn't change how awesome it would look with 4 people blazing into a horde of enemies side by side (or 3 people and a cameraman for better angles). It doesn't work with ogryns because they switch to fists while charging. Not sure about other zealot weapons, it should work on anything that can be braced. You can probably remain ADS/scoped while charging too if you have that instead of brace. I never tested any of that though, it seems both most useful and most funny with the flamer.
It might not be as memetastic, but one of my favourite runs was on a Heresy level run, we had a shield Ogryn and 3 Psykers with Purgatus/flamethrower staves. Shit was fireworks - 3 of us brain bursting at once instagibbed any elite and being able to cackle manically as the Emperor's Holy Warpflame(tm) melted the hordes was so much fun. ... I loved every second of this, and all the more for reminding me of that run. Thank you Okoii ♥
I'll be perfectly honest, if your big bad chaos cult gets bullied by 4 maniacs with bowie knives and flame throwers, you owe an apology to the Emperor.
EXCLUSIVE: Interview with local homeless gang who inflicted innumerable stab wounds on patients in downtown hospital COVID ward, claim to be "Big E's Stabbiest Boys."
Watching a video like this reminds me of those videos of League of Legends that were prior to its own respective talent tree rework. ("Runes Reforged," IIRC.) I don't miss the old setup, tbh. The modern artwork and extra variety will always be worth the trouble, imo.
okay i know it cant be just me but i like your videos and the way you edit them so much i usually watch and rewatch them 2 to 4 times by the time your next video comes out you have a way with the edits my man
MY favourite part of playing a DoT based character is to apply everything you have and then go on a smoke break while you watch your opponent go through all stages of grief.
