My favorite rescue memory is when my dad called me one day and asked if I wanted to go on a rescue mission to save a 4 week old kitten who was stuck between a concert wall and a industrial trashcan. She’s doing amazing now and is a happy member of our family!
The fact that people risk their own lifes by going into strong currents or rescuing predators that could easily rip them in half goes to show how empathy is deeply embedded in human nature.

I was born as a result of the actions taken by my mother and father, they created me. In the end the capability to think and act based upon morals is the result of endless number of causes and effects as well. By the way, the existence of God is a result of human thinking as well, at least in my opinion. That does not mean I disrespect your believes, I just don't share them and wanted to point that out.
This. This is what it is to be human, this is why we're here, to help those in need, not just other people, but animals too. From rats, to cobras, hell to even whales. This is why we're here.
You know, I've questioned what the meaning of life is for so long now, but never really came to anything certainly conclusive. Now you, you might be on to something.
why is this same comment posted 200 times on every animal rescue vid?. People are good. Stop saying they aren't. There's a few bad ones and the media makes sure we all know about it if were gullible enough to watch news all the time. I'm tired of seeing this negative perspective everywhere. Get some new friends and stop watching broadcast news. The world will be a different place if you do those 2 things.
Sometimes it's so hard to believe there's people left like this in the world. These videos help bring back my hope. I want to be surrounded by people like this. ❤️💜
Ran a wildlife rescue for a decade. Definitely saw cases where wild animals got desperate enough to take the risk of asking a human for help. These videos are touching.
I live in a rural area, several acres, mostly wooded. Have a creek that runs behind and to side of my house, and there's about a 20 foot waterfall that starts up in winter time or during heavy rains. Several years ago creek was pretty high after good rain in the winter, and when it's like that the current is real strong. I saw something on the bank. Go closer and see a raccoon half in water half on the creek bed just hanging on to the grass for dear life. Afraid to grab it in case he bit me, grabbed a garden hoe I had right there. The second I walked up to him, he reached up to me with one paw, and as I moved the hoe to scoot him up he immediately grabbed onto it and I dragged him up. He just laid there exhausted, and then I realized his hind legs weren't working. Reading up, found that is a symptom of rabies, but I think more likely he got swept over the waterfall onto the rocks and broke his back. Tried calling around, no one was helpful at all. So, I put him in a big storage tote with some blankets and put him in a bedroom. Gave him some dog food and he chowed it down lol. Came home from work next morning and he didn't make it. Kind of glad because I had no idea what I would've done with him being paralyzed, but it was still sad. Just blew me away though when he reached up for me to help get him out of the water, first time I"d ever experienced anything like that. I love telling that story because so many people don't realize what animals are capable of. It's always, oh it's just a fish, raccoon, possum, etc.
It is indeed a fact that animals ask humans for help. There is a friend of mine, who had an encounter with a dying mother cat in the neighbourhood. She came to him and laid down a kitten (yes, one kitten, as I don't know if there were others or not), then went off and died. That kitten was so loyal to him when it grew up.
I've rescued dogs on 2 separate occasions. The first one was starving and dehydrated when I found him in a gravel pit laying in a shallow pool of muddy water. He had been lost by his owners 3 months earlier when they were camping. The second was during the winter (I live in northern Wisconsin) and it was laying in a ditch and it was so cold it couldn't move. Her owners lost her 1 month prior when they were at a cabin during rifle season. I always brings me joy, seeing how happy the dogs and their families are when they're reunited.
I remember saving a tiny kitten who was trapped in a friend’s attic. She had fallen into a narrow pipe and was just barely holding onto a tiny ledge about two feet down. I was the only one who heard her cries and immediately alerted everyone else. It took us nearly an hour to get her out but we finally managed to. My friend adopted her after that and she’s doing great now
Thank you very much Bell . This morning I rescued a black hornet that was trapped between a storm window and another window . It was panicking , because the sun was glaring down on it , and was running back and forth . Fortunately , I was able to rescue it and release it .
I really was impressed in the first shot with the guy who rescued the calf from the river... genuinely risked his life, as this was quite fast flowing, and the 'humility' he showed afterwards?
Just wanna say thank you to all the people that saved all these animals. Especially ones that are more predatory type animals. Remember, a rat doesn’t know he’s a rat (or a shark or a leopard or whatever), they’re just being who they are. Most animals only react out of feeling threatened or curiosity. For years, media makes them sound more aggressive than they are
This world unfortenatly no exist in general here. The majority of bastards humans kill destroy all even their race and for anything. But thank you to share and dream about a better future
My cat, when we met her, literally jumped in front of our car on a country road, sick with a cat cold. She'd have died two days later had we not gone horse riding that day. That was almost 10 years ago. She's happily cuddled up to me right now x
Aw! I’m actually taking care of 3 kittens that were abandoned by their Mom because they were really sick with a bad cold. There were 4 of them, but the 1st one didn’t make it. The other 3 are thriving now & the cold is mostly gone, except for occasional sneezing. The last kitten to be left by the Mom was so sick, he’d developed a film completely covering his left eye & about 1/3 of his right eye. The right is totally clear now & he has his sight back in that eye. The left one is still cloudy, but it gets better by the day. They’re all such sweet little monsters😁. They brought unexpected life & chaos to a house that had gone silent when my 10-yr old dog (CoCo) passed this Feb. So, I know precisely what you mean, @Yama 13.✌🏽

Been rescuing for 30+ years. Thank you to each and every single person out there that chooses to help animals instead of standing by and doing nothing.
Doing nothing is the same as condemning them to their fate. We shouldn't be at that point. We should be the persons that make their fate better. Their guardian angels, if you will. Thanks for putting in the effort, though, im just moralizing so the people seeing this may act instead of succumbing to the bystander effect.
@@Brigtboe that's the same thing I was doing was literally making a statement so people would get off of their lazy behinds and actually help the animal instead of taking pictures and just posting. But I think you for your effort as well
I once helped a turtle 🐢 out that was traveling down a busy road...In The Road. There were curbs on both sides of the street so he couldn't get off the road and onto the grass, & he was facing traffic and heading to a big, busy intersection. So I stopped in the turning lane & put on the flashers, got out & crossed traffic to get to him, then picked up the rather large and heavy guy to put him off to the side of the road near the tall grass. I noticed that it had probably been hit already bc it's shell was cracked & had a couple of maggots on it. I had just picked up my nephew from school and he saw the whole thing and he said I saved it's life, told everyone what I did very proudly. Years later were going down that same road and he said "Remember when you saved the turtle? That was so cool." I just hope it was safe & lived a long, happy life. And stayed away from traffic!
Unfortunately, there are also incidents in which people deliberately put animals in danger or torture them, only to "free" them again in front of running cameras....keep this in mind with channels that "free" animals on a weekly basis.
My mum and I spent 2 hours trying to catch a dog in the streets. we fostered him and eventually adopted him. My mum passed away 2 yrs later and he helped me through my depression. So I saved him, but in the end, he saved me! ❤️🥰
Acts of Loving Kindness and Compassion for all living beings are the greatest and noblest acts ever performed. It is our true nature and the purpose of all humanity. ❤️💚💜🙏🙏🐾🐾
Got teary eyed on all that. The world needs stories like these when all you’re given is bad news at every turn. God bless all those people that stepped into help
Turn off the news. Do not listen to their stories. It is low vibration and keeps you in a state of depression and anxiety. There are good people and they’re getting better because we have no choice- the others are getting more aggressive and worse. There is no gray- these are biblical times and you are needed. Stand up and be counted.. your light is needed!
it’s so cool that the squirrel was scared but eventually realized they were helping him and then even came back to hang out with them, feeling completely safe and comfortable!! most animals can understand they’re being helped which is something that brings me an unreasonable amount of joy !! I’ve heard of sharks that tell other sharks that certain divers will help them with fishing hooks stuck in their mouths and several wild birds that come back to visit and even nest near people who fed them and even insects can tell they’re being helped and will stop running away (I have helped so many spiders that stop trying to run and just let me take them outside and I know I sound crazy but some species really make me feel like they’re looking into my eyes lol)
So you might enjoy this My mums terrified of birds to the point she’ll scream and cry if there in the house 4 year old me seeing this goes to get a stick Of course mother fearing the worst starts screaming at me Not understanding I was just gonna let the bird land on the stick and then put it outside The bird understood though
It's so nice to see something positive like this happening in this world, which is so full of evil, hateful & destructive humans. It restores a little of my faith in humanity.
I was on my way to a zoo, and when we got there, we immediately went to the monkey enclosure because my sister loves them. A while after being with them, one of them all of a sudden fell out of a tree and stopped breathing. only 1 worker was there but she didn’t know what to do, although I was taking medschool for people, i still tried my best to help it and in the end the little guy survived:)
Once I saved 2 drowning dogs. And now they have become friends of mine. ❤ its really is a great feeling to get loved by the animals. Special thanks and respect to everyone who is doing the same. 🙏
God bless all people like you deeply. And God put the no humans in hell forever. We are all life humans and animals just shape is different Krishna said God is in all type of Life includes animals. Yea. I think this is very common. A lot of people help animals in danger but some of this animals in their distress turn wild. I love animals I have a pet, a Rottweiler. Do you have any?

It’s not just a choice it’s what is referred to as a moment of truth.when I’m driving hone from or to work anything in the road that’s been hit I pull off the road. It sounds crazy but they deserve respect like people expect it after death. With possums they may have babies in the pouch so that needs to be looked at and I keep a rescue kit in the car. Sometimes baby animals are on the road alive etc. we need to pay attention. Even though I do all of this I’m still not late for work - the universe and God have a way of making sure you’re taken care of as well. While everyone else could care less and running eachother off the road and driving thru red lights to get where their going I’m at peace.
I know your heart is in the right place but... No, it’s not. Sometimes animals get in bad situations because they have inherited characteristics that make it difficult for them to survive, and when you help them, they’ll go on to have children with the same problems and you’ll be weakening the species overall. It’s actually a law in a lot of places that you can’t rescue wildlife unless you’re going to then keep the individual as a pet or take them to a zoo for that reason. Please leave wildlife alone unless it’s in a bad situation directly due to human activity...
@@cheesethekoala8756 Interesting. A lot of human individuals get themselves into life threatening situations because of stupid incoherent decisions. Does the same apply to humans?

@@dianewilson5516 Like I say. The simplest, easiest, kindest thing to do for them is to simply not eat them. But so many people are just indifferent to what they do. I should know. So many people just shrug as the most senseless violence is carried out on the most helpless of victims.

@@selvia9784 and that’s not a problem either. I don’t see why people make it such a big issue for eating meat. You need protein in your diet to survive.
I can relate to this. I drive a semi truck and just a couple of days ago saw a little tortoise at the rest area I was parked at. The tortoise was walking right into the parking area and would have been crushed. I put it back into the grass facing away from me and it turned toward me and walked a few steps and just hung out for a few minutes. It really brightened up my day when it did that. I wish I would have had some fruit or veggies to offer at the time. I love animals, especially reptiles. They say they can’t feel affection or love, but I would challenge that considering the black and white Argentine tegu I used to have often chose to come crawl up and lay on me when she could have gone to one of several heat lamps for warmth.
I was at work today marking water mains, and one house I went to the guy took me to his back yard to show me "something cool". As soon as I turned the corner I could tell what it was. He has a 22 year old brown sulcata tortoise that weighs 170lbs. Her name is Tammy and will respond to you if you talk to her, definitely proved to me that reptiles, especially tortoises are empathetic and have feelings. Glad he showed me and my dad, made our day. Actually made our week.
I do recommend helping them get to the other side of wherever they were going, though, as they will probably try again otherwise. But that is still awesome. There's a giant tortoise at the local zoo, and the way it looks at people who are watching it I can tell it wants scritches. Wish they'd let us pet him. Lol
If you look carefully most of the animals were trapped in human’s trash, I really appreciate the kind behavior of people who helped the animals, but I’m also really disappointed of people who caused their troubles! I wish that 100% of the humanity could actually care about the environment and the animals like these people do
just walking around most people step over the little bits of trash randomly strewn about instead of picking it up and tossing it into the nearest bin. but then they complain about the trash lying around.
Sadly I've heard alot of these rescues are staged for views/ likes etc for you tube money. They put them in the trouble off camera and rescue them on camera. I hope not but thats what I've heard.
I was 13 (im 17 now) walking back from school and I walk past a fire hydrant and I see a baby kitten stuck in a chain by the fire hydrant I spent 15 minutes saving it and apparently it was a kitten that had been lost for 3 months and the owner lived down the street and we returned the kitten 😸 Extension the neighbors son asked me out on a date 🙂
Congratulations, you helped murder dozens of other animals... Cats are an invasive species, as cute as they may be, they need to be culled and not let outside.
I actually saved a baby hawk last week, I saw it underneath a car with a hurt wing and took it to a nature center. He is now fully healed and will be released soon ☺️
I once rescued a kitten that was abandoned in the summer heat. It was covered in fleas, extremely dehydrated, and was panicking. It was in front of multiple businesses and people were just passing it by and poor thing was so scared it struck at anyone who got near it. I was actually on a date at the time but I decided use my shirt to pick him up really quick and then held him real tight and he just became so friendly. The shelter said he would’ve died within an hour had I not rescued him. My date loved it to so it was a win win lol.
These are some of the best humans I have ever seen; those that help animals in need out of the goodness of their heart. You are true heroes. THANK YOU 🙏💗
I really love these heart warming critter rescues. Even though they don't mean much in the overall scheme of the cycle of life, they really help to reaffirm my trust and faith in human decency.
I love to see things like this. My dad and I once saved a southern flying squirrel after one of our cats caught it. We kept it overnight in an old hamster cage and the next morning took it to one of the trees in our backyard. My father put the squirrel on the side of the tree and within a minute, one of the parents came down the tree to get it. It was one of the coolest things I had ever seen.
