Rescue organizations typically have the fostering placements to have immediate personal care and safety for these pets before carefully selecting and ensuring they can have a permanent home. These foster homes are a great blessing.
Indeed. It's a prime example of how a little love and caring can reverse the effects of the opposite behavior. I have a little (12-pound) dog who was rescued from a high-kill shelter, and I would rather wrap my hands around a red-hot fire poker than do anything to intentionally harm her.
I don't think he had much time left in the state he was in. When I'm down I can think of the kindness and strength of these people and this husky dog who refused to give up. Ryker looks like he's doing great with folks who will take good care of him and enjoy his company. What a great story. Great post. Bye for now.
there's a lot to admire in this story. I think more people want to help than hurt. each time someone likes this comment I feel hope. I love that husky dog and i've only had cat's for years. don't give up. peace.
This is the real definition of Human. I almost cried watching how this dog suffered from starvation. The world still exists because of people like you!
"Severe neglect and abuse was the only life he had ever known." And yet he was still friendly and trusting, gently walking up to people. Tears in the beginning, a big smile (and still some tears) by the end.
Where is the proof he was abused? Prolly just a street mut , a hobo dog. And ofcourse strays cant buy food for themselfs , he ate what he found , survival of the fittest.
@@s3kir3i98 didn't it say his OWNER? I have watched many of these and they always say whether it was an owner or someone turned them in after finding them on the street...and no if people just find a dog they don't request the animal be put down as they don't own them! So yes this was the owner and that they couldn't give a dam about this wonderful dog. That owner should never be allowed to have another animal ever... and God willing no children either!
@@catatoblob8598 I knew animals that were treated poorly and still remained sweet... I wish humans were as forgiving and loving! Imagine animals being more humane than.... well humans kind of makes me wonder about how humans really are. I always thought man were a blessing I mean humans take care of other species but during recent events I ask myself what is the proof now... kind of sad actually
@@s3kir3i98 I know it can be difficult for some people to comprehend what they read, even if it's just a couple of words. So I'll write what was in the video again, in the hopes that it processes this time. "Surrendered by his owner to a vet."
Everyone involved in this dog becoming so ill is beyond contempt...from the people that dumped him to the people that ignored him when he needed help. The people that saved him and restored him back to health are utter heroes.
I feel like if an owner of a dog brings the dog into your clinic in this condition you should prolong the surrender process as long as possible so the police have time to get there and arrest them. How is this legal?
Don't be Fooled by Sad Music & Fake Story: These people filming videos of chained, beaten, tortured Animals are the ones doing these horrible things to helpless Animals for Fun, Likes, Subscribers... No Real Rescue. No medical care was given. These people filing & acting are Sexually Dysfunctional tiny pri€ks & stink €un+s... Too many videos of tortured Animals are posted online from these Countries. Real Men help others, not beat & kill innocent Animals (or Children)... To you people who love to torture Animals, then film them because you enjoy watching them suffer: May you be blessed with same Misery you give to Animals.
I totally agree with you! But unfortunately animal care is not a great matter in our human world...that's disgusting but true... cheers from Amsterdam / Holland@@mattlawson714
Do you know most of these videos are actually reverse shot! first the animal is good but then they torture it to look bad just for views and show that tortured state was his first & then he recovered. Animal videos should be made demonetized
This has got tears in my eyes. I screamed out YAY when I saw how much he had gotten better. I laughed when he tried to howl with his brother. This right here has made my day. Given my little sister passed away on October 15th, with her service on November 4th, then my coronary artery bypass surgery on the 10th, I needed to smile.
I don’t like that there is zero consequences for treating an animal this poorly. I do like that he was saved and now has a pack to prowl and growl with:) Shout out to that foster family!
Realistically once they found out what had been done to the dog the previous owner was probably arrested. Just cause it wasn't mentioned didn't mean it didn't happen. I hope he rots in jail for a good long time
Some family members treat you like that in humans too , not kidding I personally feel like this from inside , scary , spirits crushed , always on hyper vigilance and unable to explain trauma
Karma is going to hit him hard. Cruel bastard he is worthless piece of sh,&t.. Thanks to everyone who helped this poor fur baby.. God bless you all... Sending you lots of love from Australia
Could just do it for views. Take video footage of happy healthy animal. Chain it up and let it deteriorate until dead. Show footage from before death as you rescuing it. Show earliest footage as its full recovery. Not saying this channel does it, but a ton of these miracle recovery channels just straight up torture animals for 'inspiring' videos because they get so many views.
Honestly. It can have a lot of reasons. Maybe they are just straight up awful people. Or, like in my case, have mental health issues. I had two beautiful parrots once. I loved them dearly. They were like a family to me. But when I got back into a really really bad depressive episode, I didn't give them the care they deserved. So I finally decided to give them to a better home. They now live in this privately owned huge a** bird garden where they can live a life as natural as possible. I still miss them to this day, but they deserved better. Edit 1: Hmm. I guess it could be argued, that those people could have given the dog to a better place sooner. Edit 2: And they could have fed him more. Like... Okay, nvm. Probably just awful people.
@@The3rKo It's always a very strong chance that it can happen on videos like this one were they just play the happy music, but never show the actual human faces and voices. Most of them have anonymous human involvement in those videos.
As spirited as a husky is, I can't even imagine the kind of abuse it would take to completely break a husky's spirit like that. What a good, sweet boy. Those first "awoos" were just precious!
A beautiful ending to a tragic story, how could any one treat him so badly ? A huge thank you for giving Ryker a second chance, you have done a brilliant job, he's so gorgeous.😍🐶🐾🐕🦴
ABSOLUTELY and TOTALLY AGREE!! SHAME ON PREVIOUS OWNERS!👿 Why did they let him get into SUCH a poor condition???? MAY THEY ROT IN HELL!!!☠☠💀💀 BIG THANK YOU TO NEW OWNERS!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤❤🐾🐾🐾🐶🐶
Hopefully they were just unable to care for him....dirt poor maybe.... guessing he'd been loved by someone....hope so anyways.... sometimes people have to make the decision between rent and food....let's hope it wasn't active wilful cruelty....he's a bonny lad....we don't really deserve dogs as a species.... imagine a kinder more caring world....
@@michaelpowell6805 um NO. There is *zero* reasons for an owner to let an animal be that neglected - neglect is abuse - this person was literally letting him starve to death - he had been so malnourished he developed a heart murmur! I appreciate you thinking kindly but that person wanted this beautiful animal put to death, if you didn't hear that stated clearly in the beginning of the video. He could have surrendered Ryker a long long time before he was literally skin and bones if he care one iota about that poor, poor animal 🤬 people like that need to be monitored to make sure they never ever ever have another pet. What if they're a parent?!? What if they don't live alone? What kind of circumstances could a person be in to even *think* about letting something like that happen?
I am so glad he has survived, healed, and thrived. God bless everyone involved in his recovery 🌸🌿. I hope those who hurt him his whole life are held fully accountable.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING HIM IN & HELPING HIM. HE MOST CERTAINLY DESERVED A SECOND CHANCE. & LOOK AT HIM NOW. HOW HANDSOME & INTELLIGENT. HE IS. HUSKIES ARE SPECIAL BREEDS. THERES NOT ANOTHER DOG OUT THERE LIKE A HUSKY. !!
This actually made me cry. As many terrible there are to abuse innocent animals there are even more kind and loving angels who help dogs like him. Thank you so much for saving him ❤
As a husky owner, this nearly made me cry. Just look, his spirit is still there even after all the suffering 😥 They are the best creatures ever, how someone can torture them so is completely beyond me. Beautiful rescue story. May he have years and years with his new family who loves him so
@Emanuele I know, I have no idea how a person could do such atrocities. Seriously fucked up. There's a reason why dogs are called man's best friend. Breaks my damn heart.
My dad owned a husky. Tha fact that some people could hurt these cute, goofy, oversized cottonballs is just horrible. Happy to see that some people can heal these poor doggos make sleep a bit more soundly
Glad the dog made a full recovery, I recently rescued a staffie, Dogs are so beautiful ......And there's a special place in hell for cowards that abuse animals....personally I'd hang, draw, and quarter them....
I am happy when I think that God will give One day to animal abusers what they deserve. They don't know that God has given them 1 of His 100 mercies and that, whatever they can do to them, they will go to Heaven where no one will mistreat them anymore.
This is amazing. I own a husky that has been through 5 different owners. All given up on him because he loves to escape and run around. He's brought me so much happiness and changed my life for the better. This video brought tears to my eyes. God bless y'all. This is just amazing. Thank you!
The “You look pretty today!” was so cute his foster parents cared so much I’m so glad he could get the love and care he deserved and make such an amazing recovery!
Most people honestly would’ve put him out of his misery but finally owners with the care and love every pet needs. God bless y’all for saving that beautiful dog from suffering.
People like this all over the world that abuse animals. So many we don't know about and can't save like this dog. The thing is the laws for people are horrible even for murder so what can we do to people who do this to a animal. I always pray when people go to court for animal abuse the judge has a big heart for animals and give them the worst penalty for animal abuse.
@@jaymahakaal5354 ideally that should be the case but I have seen many people saying I am an animal lover and in next meal they be eating steaks , sausage and what not .
@@0m4r21o who are you to tell me what and whom to care ??? I just wrote my thoughts and I am free to do that , imho loving and harming can't go together.
How can anyone neglect a gorgeous dog like this? The fact he never gave up hope proves just how tough, strong and determined he is thank you to the people who showed him true love, acceptance and a forever home thank you
This was one of the most heartwarming story I have ever heard. It was so sad to see a skeletal dog but so nice too see him healthy. KUDOS TO THE VETS AND HILARY!!
Dogs' ability to love even after experiencing cruelty is so inspiring. I've had two dogs that had been abused previously and they had such open hearts still. So glad Ryker got to find a family who would love him and cherish him.
We once had a dog that got Abused, punched and even starved but we "stole" him from them and gave him a better life he past away last year at the age of 13
@Boku No anime Academia So what if he had incurable disease, even disease like Cancer is incurble but still people are living after fighting from it and kicking it's ass. How inhuman are you!!
@Boku No anime Academia what do you mean incurable? Did you not watch the video? The dog made a remarkable recovery from its previous and absolute trash owners.
Thanks Hilary from my heart. ❤️ You deserve to be lauded for what you did with Ryker. And he deserved you too. As for him, I’m so glad he found a loving caring family at last.
Absolutely disgusting that people treat animals like that just to ditch them at the vet to be euthanized. Thank you for rescuing Ryker. He deserved another chance at life ❤ What a difference love makes 🐾
Please stop using Holy names as internet handles, everyone will give account of all the words and unholy things they have done...it's not a joke!!!...Have some respect!! This is the punishment of those who do this: they will be judged by the Lord Himself: Jude 1:14-15: "Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, 15 to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him". You have been warned!!..
Thank you for bringing him back and loving him. Huskies are one of the most loving, funniest, craziest and smartest dogs around. He is a beautiful dog!
Animal Rescue is how we got one of our two most recent dogs (both are gone now, sadly, and they have been for several years), a Boxer/Lab mix (but my mom is convinced that she was a Pit Bull/Lab mix instead, and I can see why she believes that, I'm inclined to believe the same). My aunt worked with a group called Homeward Bound Animal Rescue, and she was fostering one of 15 dogs they'd saved from a shelter that was going to put them to sleep simply because they were overcrowded. We happened to be visiting them for my cousin's graduation party, and for whatever reason, that dog and I just "clicked". I've never known a sweeter, more intelligent, or more sensitive dog in my life, and I grew up in a household where we had pets in the house even into my reaching adulthood. And the day we had her put to sleep (lymphoma, she was having an increasingly difficult time breathing, and she had stopped eating entirely), after we got home, I would swear that I saw her resting her head on the arm of the couch just looking at me, like she was saying goodbye. I still miss her.
@@AaronBiswas As a writer and storyteller, that actually gave me a nice premise to build a story around, thanks. I hope you’ll never chase me for the credit if ever this story gets written and published anywhere ;)
It takes guts to be there through a dog's darkest time. You never know, how the healing process is going to work. Thanks for sharing his healing process with us. You folks have amazing love and compassion. Big hugs to you both.
He has so much spirit inside. His resilient attitude is phenomenal. Good job to save him! The best part is that with his new loving family, he has a buddy of his same kind!!! ❤
I can tell this is a dog that once had a very happy life with humans and he never forgot what that was like. good memories can carry you through a lot.
@@mariabria2671 no, you can tell by the way he behaves around people. if all he had ever known was brutality at the hands of humans he would not be behaving the way he is. Even though something bad happened to him, he didn't forget those good memories with humans. He has been loved, it's very clear.
He is a beautiful boy but you and yours are extremely beautiful people God bless you all. My heart felt the pain of seeing him in that condition but i felt the joy sering his transformation. Freaking AWESOME. THANK YOU
I had to watch this twice out of total disbelief the 1st time & catching myself saying "No way is that the same dog!" On behalf of every decent human being who loves & respects animals, thank you. Thank you for never giving up on this beautiful fur baby & thank you for giving him the life & love he deserves.
You neither need to love, nor respect, animals to see this shouldn't be done. This dog was starving, it simply wasn't being fed. This is what malnutrition leads to in a dog. When you're starving, your immune system becomes weak and all sorts of odd diseases show up. It's so cheap to feed a dog. What? $20-$40 a month?
@@xg3990 Well, it's been 5 years since I put my dog down and for the last 5 years of her life I cooked for her, but I'd still get kibble every now and then. She wouldn't go through a 20 lb bag in a month. That's.. around $32 a month, if she ate all that. Vet bills can be a major expense but not feeding them.
We adopted a cat from a hoarding rescue. She was in rough shape: she didn’t even know how to meow. She’s doing great now, and meows so much, Meow Meow is her nickname. We all need to help animals when we see them suffering ❤️
The punishment should fit the crime for whoever did this to Ryker.....but seemingly we live in a civilised society & we don't allow it. Ryker was fortunate enough to be rescued & recovered to sing the songs of his people in a caring & loving home.
As a husky lover myself, this made me cry. I’m so happy that there are still people who are willing to take chances to make a difference for others! Even if they aren’t human, Ryker and many other animals still have a right to live and I couldn’t be happier for him!! Thank you so much to everyone who was involved!! ❤❤
I almost cried when I was watching this 😭 I’m so happy that this boy has found his family and could live the beautiful life he deserved, thank you to the wonderful people who showered him with love and affection and helped him recover❤
