Jesus guys, you repeated at least 3 different points in this video. Daemon worlds are ruled by powerful daemons. D. Worlds are worlds lost to chaos. Each one is unique. At least you touched on what life is like on a Daemon world.
You literally repeated yourself on the same exact points a few times, it was like hearing a repeat of the video from a few minutes ago but with different pictures. Anyways with Daemon Worlds being so damn brutal its hard to believe there is any living left around.
Why do these Demon Worlds all have to be so stereotypical though? Couldn't there be one populated by giant pink fluffy bunnies and unicorns that poop rainbows? It can still be a really nightmarish world of evil it would just look quite nice.
Well, Nurgle, even though he's the Chaos god of decay and plague, is really the nicest god. He may give you horrible diseases and turn you into an abomination, but you'll feel no pain and love him. He is affectionately known as "Papa Nurgle". Hell, even his daemonic monsters don't want to kill you, they just want to play...even though that kills whoever they play with. The Chaos gods aren't evil exactly, they just mirror human emotions in a twisted way. Khorne is the god of war and blood, but he's also the god of courage and honor. Nurgle is the god of decay and death, but also stability and life (you can't have life without death, or rebirth without decay). Tzeentch is the god of change and deceit, but also hope and progress. And Slaanesh is the god of excess and corruption through hedonism and torture, but also love and resilience in suffering. The gods themselves aren't evil, but those who worship them are. Without the worshipers of Chaos doing horrible things in their name, and expanding their influence far more than it was meant to be, the Chaos gods would be pretty harmless (mostly). So the Chaos gods don't shape the universe, humanity (and other races) shape the Chaos gods.
Nurgle is still rather an evil being if he kills literally billions of people and/or fucks them up for eternity it doesn't matter if he's he a jolly and likeable character. Now the Emperor isn't a jolly and likeable character at all but he protects people from being killed and fucked up by beings such as Nurgle. The Emperor therefore he is very much on the 'good side' even if he is ruthless he is ruthless with the ultimate survival of the human race at heart.
That's an idea for some Slaanesh Chaos Space Marines, paint them in pink power armour and decorate them with adorable cute imagery. Stick a Chaos Lord on a gigantic bunny as his Daemonic Mount.

Very informative. Naturally makes me wonder just how nasty a fight on a demon world would be in regards to dealing with a Necron presence. If nothing else it's fun to imagine just how brutal that would get.

It always seems as though Chaos mostly effects Humans and Eldar in 40k. What would happen if a bunch of Orks or the Necrons raided a demon world? Great topic.
the demons's flesh is not edible for the tiranids and the tiranids ausence in the warp make them uninteresting for the demons, when they fight is only to see who will eat everything
i have heard orks refer to fighting mean red boyz when they warp travel and said it was a good time. They are connected to something called the big green though which is probably something in the warp via gork and mork. but due to limited intelligence, aggression and/or allegiance to their own gods i don't think other chaos gods would bother trying to corrupt them if they could. It could also be as a previous commenter said that they are more like fungus than a sentient being. Necrons dont really have souls to corrupt, they are automaton machines mostly except for the higher ups. The tau don't really have a presence in the warp, don't use warp travel and if i remember correctly have no psychic connection to feed off of.

Dos anyone know how it works with the ork spores left behind on daemon worlds from when Tuska the Daemon Killa led his waaaargh in to the eye of terror? Can the spores not grow on daemon worlds or are there hordes of feral orks running around on daemon worlds in the eye of terror?
I think a Tzeentch planet would be the most tame but a Slaanesh one would still be horrifying as pleasure doesn’t just come from indulgence or romance but some people get pleasure through torture or murder

@@ethanpattison5623 I'm already Death Guard, so corruption isn't a problem for me. The only problem is that such an action may displease Nurgle, me going out to Slaanesh's world. Least not as bad if I were to travel to Tzeentch's domain.
tzeentch is the God of mutation though. But beyond that some horror defies understanding. A Slaneesh planet would have murder, torture rape yes but a tzeentch world would have unfathomable eldrich creatures or cognitohazards like in the SCP universe
This video reminded me of my favorite Deamon world. The giant monster that's curled up in the fetal position, that swallowed the Sentinels and they later emerged as the Corpus Brethren.

Are Daemon worlds in real space used to spread the warp into reality (Like expanding the Eye of Terror)? I've created art on a massive Chaos world that had a portal spewing out Chaotic Legions and the warp itself. (Simply called it "Abbadon Victory in the 13 Black Crusade" Yes it's Cadia).
Pyro Skies The Eye of Terror was created by the sheer violence of the birth of Slaneesh so replicating it outright would be a monumental task. Demon world's do technically spread the warp into the material universe but considering the amount of psychic energy it takes to actually convert a planet into a demon world it would be a very difficult and drawn out task to do so at any scale resembling the eye. Chaos elements would essentially have to do it "manually" by converting one world in a system at a time and slowly spread from planet to planet. As it mentioned in the video; demon world's rely on the fervor of worship like prayer...so maintaining a demon world outside the eye and it's connection to the warp would be very "expensive" as it were. It's similar to how the Astronomicon needs 1000 psyker souls a day for maintenence and power.

Hearing about Inquisitorial Operatives coming from Daemon worlds, I wish Dark Heresy had that option. At least in Ascension, that would be pretty cool to have an a roll able option!
Are the Daemon Princes the same in power to a Greater Daemons, its just something I had in mind for a long time and one more thing, it would be cool if you guys would make a video on the Thousand Sons, because I have no idea how the recruit more Chaos Space Marine. I know that the Thousand Sons are basically immortal but they still need more to fill their ranks, and keep up the great work.
On Average, a Greater Daemon is stronger than a Daemon Prince Obviously, the Daemon Primarchs and some of the Ancient Daemon Princes are the exceptions to the rule Thousand Sons recruit using inductees from their Cults. They can raise the dead, but that would be done very rarely
The only thing that makes a daemon prince better than greater daemons is just that they are much more skilled most of the time, and through wits can slaughter greater daemons.

im wondering. shouldnt the imperium have like a ship sized nuke just to blow up demon worlds? if a ship cant fly in send in a light speed jumping nuke half the size of the cruiser
Nuke "ship" sounds way to expensive. Keep in mind that most ship designs are more than 10.000 years old. The Imperium doesn't really do "innovation" :P
Wandering Ursa Imperium and Expensive don't really connect hahaha actually I gave it some thought, it'd be a security liability. the ships defending it would be instantly destroyed if the attackers got through. and since it's the 41stmillenium, i'm sure they'll figure it out haha

Quite good series, I am really enjoy listening to WHR40K lore facts. I used to play 40k years ago and now after getting back to the universum with your videos I am thinking to get back to playing again.
Assassins have some interesting info, not just on the wiki, but now in their history too. The Rise of the Beast novels taking place in M32 expand on their history, building up to The Beheading event, and adding to it. Also, there are many other types of assassins than the four temples common;y used in the game, and I don't mean just the Death Cult assassins either. They could even expand such a video to discuss assassins of other races, too.

hi guys thanks for the videos. ive only recently got back into the hobby after many many years and what ive found your videos really enjoyable and helped me to have a deeper understanding of the characters i paint as im more into painting than gaming and reading the codexs abit of a waste of time for me. i when i think of the burning of prospero i always have the Shakespeare phrase "cry havoc let slip the dogs of war" always a good one when describing space wolves.
You were one bastardized word away actually. Demon is the Christianized form of Daemon, which is the anglicized form of the greek root word "Daimon". The difference being Daimon used to refer to angels or angel-like beings that were both good and bad, whereas demon is specifically only evil angels, and Daemon could be used interchangeably.
IMO, they just call them "daemons" because they think is sounds cooler. Just like when people spell "magic" as "magick". It's the same thing, only one of them is edgier.
After looking at how people live in the empire I would rather live in a demon world I would rather go numb from suffering and learn to enjoy it rather then live as a slave in a empire that cears more for the survive of its people then how those people are treated.

That's why Slaanesh is objectively the worst chaos god. Khorne kills people, Nurgle decays and grows stuff, Tzeentch changes everything at all times, and Slaanesh makes horrifying Japanese hentai a reality.

I like how it is typically said there is no way to save yourself if possessed by a demon, yet there is a group that has forced a demon out of them. Just as here demon worlds is basically certain death but yet those who survive are increditably powerful.
I have been really curious about all the lore that there is about 40k recently due to my love for DoW. I have to say from what I've seen this is really cool. I love the dark setting of the universe. It's really neat. :)

So just so you guys know, I play on a Warhammer roleplaying server based on Gary's Mod and I currently a staff member on it. You have no idea how often your videos help teach people and we use them, you should check it out sometime, maybe yell at us if we are doing something wrong
you should do a 40 facts about minor imperial guard regiments like the pratorian guard and mordian iron guard or do one about the lost and the damned (basically the non deamon/superhuman servants of chaos) anyway love the vids keep up the good workk
