I don't think so since their mutations might work differently with the Astartes implants, assuming any of them could went through the hellish initialization first

Navigators are more rare than space marines, so their houses wouldn't risk losing navigators to the astartes trials.

The Dark Angels are the 1st legion so I would imagine they are the oldest. Their are thousands of chapters I don't think even the high lords know the correct number.

@@munker2477 feel ya. He gets a lot of hate though but the reality is I knew ZERO about 40k until I stumbled onto his channel first. The fact that he took time to read the wiki verbatim was my invitation to a REALLY amazing series. And many of the wikis are LONG. I don’t watch the channel much anymore as the depth isn’t there but for newbies it was gold

Peter Farleigh there are chaos navigators and astropaths. Plus if the chaos god made wanted to they could just attack the ship instead of trying to infiltrate

Man that's all 40k is is a stolen hodgepodge of ideas. Humanity is Dune with Starship troopers. Tyranids are from Alien. Orks were an easy cop out. Eldar/Dark Eldar: space elves. Chaos is Master of the Five Magics or any old school magic story. Tau...enough said. 40k is a big pile of stolen ideas. That's not a reason to obsess over it.
