@SpaghettiandSauce yeah someone spent a lot of time on a very well made mod called "Unification Wars" he researched everything including gear nations rivals and events down to the exact day it's supposed to occur. Not only that he also made various methods of war that are viable. most don't like the mod because if you play the imperium of man you have to use normal humans with your thunderwarriors and custodes until you can unlock astartes to mass produce. and your rivals which are a bitch to fight because of how limited resources are in the world. Few take time to learn as it's very different from the base game.

The overly excessive amount of nukes, during the unification wars/earlier, destroyed that, and what i assume was the ozone that kept the water in the planets pull

Karvon Hall Not necessarily, if one has significant enough willpower then they can resist the gods of chaos. Take Kaldor Draigo for example. More or less he is stuck in the warp, yet he still serves the Emperor.
