Bart Starr of course was an excellent quarterback. Could you imagine though if you could teleport back Aaron Rodgers back to the late-60s with his same arm talent, then put Aaron on that Packers team. Fans wouldn’t know what to think. They’d be thinking, “Is this guy an extraterrestrial from Planet Claire?” Well, the B-52s didn’t exist yet then. Back then Johnny Unitas was ahead of his time as a passer but even he couldn’t come close to throwing like Rodgers. But if you go back and watch earlier eras then watch modern-day quarterbacks today’s passers are phenomenal. (I’ve always argued it was actually Dan Marino who changed the position. You had pre-Marino and post-Marino. QBs now can run too so they added even a new element. I mean, look at CJ Stroud for instance. He’s probably the next evolution at the position because he has a killer arm with wheels.)

It’s the first time I’ve even contemplated being in a car with Danica Patrick and Peter King would be in the back seat. That’s just not how I remember my dream going at least.
