Shawn, the big test for the baby barn swallows will be when they’re learning to fly. They will really be vulnerable to the cats then. We have barn swallows return here every year and hatch out a couple of clutches on the security lights over our garage door. I love to watch the babies learning to fly and their parents nearby encouraging them even though it gives me anxiety hoping our barn cats stay away. I’m so glad to here little Athena is improving. Good luck at the show.❤❤

The baby birds are filling up their nest. Athena is doing better. Mr Snow is waiting, but cannot today. He is mild mannered so we all get it, but he is special and we know that. Just love that little darling. Out come the babies. Always enjoy seeing these sweeties. Thank you and have a good day.💞❤️👍. Enjoy the show.

Awe the baby swallows are growing so fast. Hopefully the kittys won't get them. Enjoy seeing them every video. Glad Athena is doing some better. Hopefully she will keep feeling better. @@zioncreekfarm baby hummingbirds don’t make a sound unless it’s absolutely an emergency- it keeps them safe from predators. Maybe these chics are similar? There’s a baby hummingbird livestream I watch while I work, Alyssa’s Nature Sanctuary, there’s two little ones in the nest now, it’s fascinating. I’ve been watching for a few seasons and the same mama has laid six clutches that I’ve witnessed (Her name is olive and I’m a little obsessed).

Its when the birds start flapping to strengthen the wings they can fall out the nest thats the scary time for the baby birds that's when predators get them when they are on the ground
