40 inch 4k - The Microboard B400UHD HDX - Sexiest Korean 4k Display Yet 

I want 40 inch 21:9 display :3 None of this 16:9 rubbish for me any longer!

I really want Acer or Asus to take a 40" 4k IPS panel and make it as fast as their high end gaming monitors. All my concern is IPS + low input lag. Less than 1 frame. Owned a 404k and the lag was unbearable. Not too concerned about high refresh rate, but input lag is a huge factor for me. Was watching this hoping it was

wow nice, but stil not as good as 55 or 60 inches... and its NOT CURVED!!! why bother with 4K if its not curved??? curved rocks for simulators and games in general... why strain your eyes when you dont have to??? this is a waste, wait until monitors are curved... even this flat screen im using now hurts my eyes.. WHAT INPUTS DOES THIS HAVE? what time in the video is that at? fucking missed that

The specs are almost exactly the same as the Philips BDM4065UC/27 - $799 on Amazon ATM. I wonder if it is the same panel.

That AMD Freesync program actually runs at 22to25fps. MSI Afterburner is what i used to check.

40" monitor in 12K with OLED 120HZ g-sync, or free-sync display - that's what we all need, dude! GPU? It's a different story! Thumbs up!

At what distance would you sit when using a 4K 40" monitor? Currently using 27" 2K monitor both for dev and gaming. Usually sitting maybe 50 cm ~ 1.64 feet (don't know never measured it) from a 27" 2K monitor. Planning to upgrade but still don't know to what.

My 2560x1440 Auria monitor (One of the older rejected LG IPS panels) suddenly started flickering. I was sure it was gone for good, but noticed the light on the power brick was flickering. I replaced the power brick, and low and behold, the monitor was fine! I would be willing to have the power built in to a name brand monitor, but for the korean ones, I'd rather have it as an external brick. The easier to replace components on these things, the better!

That monitor does look very nice except for the free sync, but I don't really have the hardware to push a monitor like that really well. I'm doing too to push my 23in ACER 1080p 60hz and 2 side 19in ACER monitors at 1440x900 60hz. yep tn panels but for what I do I'll take the faster response times over color. I'll look at replacing them when they die, and not before.

i love my 27" 4k acer display B286hk got it for $350 from newegg new. these videos make me second guess my purchase.

This has always been the concern with Korean monitors, but as something that is brand new, it seems we are in a problem area where this is a 'sellers market', and the buying consumer has little to no rights. Those Ebay links you mentioned have two major issues with them that I'll post below. WIth other panels, there are forums that have been around for a while and you can look at a body of evidence as to whether the panels are known to have problems. Does something like this exist for MicroBoard? 1) "About pixel warranty policy - The item may have some dead/stuck/faulty pixels. There's no problem using monitor with these. Please be aware that dead/stuck/faulty pixels CANNOT be the reason for return/refund or exchange." So basically, there may be dead pixels. So, we dont know whether this is the case that they actually check these panels for dead pixels before sending them to ensure they arnt present, or whether even if they found one, they would send it to you anyway. All we know is if one turns up after shipping, its too bad. For all we know they could be specifically be buying A- panels or whatever that have dead pixels and its what you are actually buying. How will we know whether this is a problem when the only panels in the market are the ones they sent to press outlets. We need a strong body of research on forums when such an anti-consumer policy exists and you are not physically inspecting the monitor in the store before you take it home. 2) "In case of back light bleeding - In fact all monitors have back light bleeding, how much backlight bleed is acceptable is based on your personal preferences. Backlight bleeding does not harm the monitor in anyway. Please note that we do not reimburse for backlight bleeding by manufacturing process. We don't accept backlight bleeding as a defect. We try our best to minimize backlight bleeding, making slight gap between the panel and the bezel is one of the way, therefore don't worry about that if you find the slight gap on your monitor." Less of an issue than above, but it could occasionally be the event that there is a manufacturing defect in the bevel and the bleed is terrible and this is not going to be acceptable for RMA. When there are policies like this for a brand new panel I would have hoped these things would be mentioned somewhere in the video. It looks like an amazing panel I'm just too weary of potential issues when you cant inspect the INDIVIDUAL panel you are buying for defects in person before taking it home. And there isnt a 120hz forum with a lot of posts from people who have tested the waters with the panel before buying it. EDIT*** Also decided to look at some feedback. Actually, almost all the feedback for monitors on the linked profile comes back positive. I'm not sure whether these people ran the gauntlet of tests but it seems positive. There was only one negative feedback as below. Personally, I would still be really annoyed if i bought this monitor for $500+ then got a $50 dollar refund. BUYER: "The monitor came with huge dead pixel area which you can't ignore." SELLER: "There wasn't any dead pixel area but we issued $50 for buyer then he left this."

Now if you're gaming on this monitor, or looking at similar products, would it be recommended to wait for a lower response timed monitor, or would I be fine using this? 16-20ms seems like quite a loss, especially for high paced fps games.

I am going to upgrade to 40" 4K but want to wait a bit longer once they improve a bit more. Plan to keep it for a long time. My U2711 1440p is 4 year old now.

Hoping to get one of these. But i can't of fucking PH Customs where they will charge you 12% of the price of monitor + shitty add tax + more shitty fees which i lost interest in buying internationally cuz of this.

I'd totally buy this but I don't trust national shipping much less international. At least with Amazon if it shows up broken you just say "It was broken" and drop it off at UPS for free while they ship you a new one.

possible hack just to partly protect the PCB inside, cut a 2 litre soda bottle square out and put it inbetween the back panel and pcb inside the monitor. that won't stop the screw from busting the board if pushed in way too far, but something close enough to short won't short. I have done this hack (with additional hacks) many times to cheap electronics from china that aren't protected properly to make them somewhat safe electrically.

I got the a399u the day the review came out from Tek Syndicate, i feel almost betrayed lol. And i only did that because about 3 years ago i got the exact same monitor Logan had in the background last year so i figured they had the same taste i got and just jumped on it.

Three of those in portrait? Sounds perfect, now you just need a really strong GPU.

Wendell, u shouldn't really use the freesync demo program for testing, since the demo is bugged itself. So i would try it in some games where it really matter.

I'd love to see a video where you strap a go pro to your head and stream your workflow on one of these 40" monitors. Maybe throw in a bit of gaming as well.

I just want a 30-inch 5120x3200 Freesync 480hz OLED Monitor. Last monitor I'll ever need. It would be great for emulation because 16:10 is closer to 4:3 and the pixel density would add overhead where you wouldn't notice LCD pixel scaling artefacts even when running non-emulated games at lower res' that aren't a 2x2 pixel representation. (Example: If you try to run 720p games on a 1080p monitor, it would look like ass because it's 1.5x1.5 where with 1440p, it would be 2x2)

Hi, I am trying to decide between this and WM UHD 400 or UHD 420. Really hoping someone can shed some light on the following... 1. Without freesync (Nvidia card), will there always be a screen tearing/jittering for either B400UHD or UHD400? since the UHD400 is not IPS, does this mean that it has a matte display without reflection? Is the only difference between UHD400 and UHD420 the IPS panel and in your opinion how different are they? I personally dont' like reflection and prefer the B400UHD design a little bit more.
