40 New Things Added to Minecraft 1.20

With all the Bamboo, minecraft went ecological.

during the minecraft live event, mojang only announced a few features but after some time mojang added many features that were not announced during minecraft live, such as bundles, so it is very likely that features that were postponed such as archeology and birch forest revamp will be added in this update.

Every change in short: -New Vex textures -Creative inv. changes: •Snow and Iron golem spawn eggs •Tab for only command obtainable blocks -Piglins drop heads after getting killed by charged creepers •New noteblock sounds with mob heads -added Sniffer •New plants •sniffs the ground for seeds of new plants -Bundles •can hold up to 30 items in 1 item slot -Added Camels •2 players can ride -New bamboo blocks: •Bamboo blocks, Mosaic Bamboo Block •Stripped Bamboo ^used to make planks which are used to make: •Bamboo Stairs, Bamboo Doors, Bamboo Fences, Bamboo Fence Gates, Bamboo Signs, Bamboo Pressure Plates, Bamboo Buttons Rafts, and their variants -New chiseled bookshelf -Hanging signs for each wood variant -7 new default skins

although I think this is great minecraft really needs to realise that there have been players asking for the same thing over and over again that could fit right into this update for example different dig breeds just like the cats got. and just overall make the biomes better or more interactive like adding more flowers/plants or in the dessert or even beaches adding a palm tree it wouldn't even have to have a new block they could just use blocks that already exist

At first bamboo was very useless but now it has many uses and it also looks beautiful

Minecraft has to be the best game ever made so much room for potential and creativity that will last hopefully decades from now

The only thing I am asking is A jungle village to be Finally be added with the new bamboo stuff it would make sense for a jungle village

This is sort of a side note to the camel update, but why is Mojang so determined to make rideable mobs so underpowered they’re virtually useless? They seem to think that limiting one mob makes the others more valuable, such as making such a slow mob as camels the only mob ridable by two players at once, what exactly do they think the value is of two players being able to ride it if it’s so slow? Or limiting llamas and donkeys to such a tiny amount of inventory slots, the feature of them having inventory slots at all becomes pointless. Llamas in particular are completely useless in terms of item storage / transport, as Mojang won’t allow them more than 12 or so slots, which simply isn’t worth the hassle of breeding them. In my view, any mob which can be equipped with a chest should have a full single chest worth of inventory, and llamas should have a double chest worth of inventory, as the whole point of using llamas and donkeys and horses in real life is that they can carry far more than a real life human being. And for the sake of sheer adventure and fun, there is zero valid reason why horses shouldn’t be rideable by two players at once, it’s ridiculous that this feature is limited to the uselessly slow camel. If they want to make the camel special, they should come up with useful features, rather than focus so hard on trying to make other mobs so underpowered they’re virtually useless.

So glad i grew up with Minecraft, witnessing its progress thorugh times. Memory i make with my fellow friends since my childhood. What a good times:) It's a shame that kids nowadays prefer dumb shooter rather than a game that sharpen their creativity... And also thanks for the info mate, i like your videos.

We should call this update the Exploration Update due to exploring biomes to find new mobs, blocks, and features

in my opinion, the birch and jungle hanging sign look really nice. 2 of the worst wood typed ACTUALLY look good as a hanging sign! (acacia still looks like someone ate a lot of orange skittles, and barfed on wood)

You can get the bamboo blocks, rafts,hanging signs,,bamboo buttons just by going to the experimental section while creating a world and then press next major update and then create.

I wonder if bamboo blocks coming is because this update will also add the jungle villages in the bamboo forest biomes. The sniffer being very grassy/mossy on top and a plant-like focus for the update would fit that and even possibly/hopefully the swamp village as well

Me personally I think revamping the hidden jungle temple and adding better prizes and harder traps would be amazing, cuz right now the temple is kind of wack

Book shelves do have a purpose and it's for higher levels on the enchantment table

It would be awesome if they added different types of tnt

And all of this bamboo stuff is really good for builds to make like Hots and villages

I honestly liked the old vex skin more than the new one because it gave a unique look and was creepy as heck but them giving it a more cute look in my opinion didn't need to happen especially since people were already connecting the vex and allay together so the skin change didn't feel all too necessary

Im late but its wild to me most of the fantasy oriented content is focused into the side games eg "legends or dungeons" and then Mojang wants to push creative in the main game

I like that they learned to set low expectations from the last few updates,altough i feel like they went a little overboard with not even naming the update (and also please change steve like how he was now he has a wierd mouth)like they know a sculk and ender update would be liked by us so maybe name it like that or just the sculk update

that creeper noise on command is going to be the best when playing with friends

that creeper head with the music box will be perfect for pranking your friend when hes in his base by setting a pressure plate at his door and when he walks on it, it activates the music box playing the creeper sound

I want the ice and fire mod added as a new update so we can have rideable dragons and a new material that’s stronger than netherite called dragon steal

Also there was a mob exclusive to deserts its called the husk

Camels have plates(upper plate like ours but harder) in their mouths to defend against the spines so it makes complete sense.

Am literally exited for the camels finally.

I think it’s going to be a temples update. Here me out Chiseled bookshelves: redstone compatible version of bookshelf (bookshelf’s often found in strongholds) Camel: desert animal (desert temple) Bamboo: solely found in jungles (found inside jungle temples occasionally) I’m just sayin

its probably called the ancient update because the sniffer is ancient and there's archeology, also there's new types of books that is found in different structures to upgrade armors

i wish they should add more characteristics for sniffer like the fox one

Mojang should add a friend system that is not hard to make a account and should make the realm maximum players 5 but if you want more players to join the realm you need to pay that's a much better idea for the next update because many people have problems joining realms

Fun fact you can prank your friend using mobs sound HAHAHA

Now with bamboo blocks in Minecraft it would be sick if Mojang made a jungle village

This is probably one of the biggest and best updates of minecraft
