Absolutely. Personal preference, your needs, and how you plan to use and carry a firearm are the top factors in choosing the best firearm (or caliber) for you

Enjoyed the video! Personally I like 40 over the 45. Drove through Idaho back in 1999 and stayed overnight in Twin Falls, beautiful state and friendly folks!

45 185 grain is light in caliber 40 caliber was Heavy in caliber

Nearly identical wound channels with these particular offerings. The 40 is bit "hotter". I have carried 40 as primary carry since the 90s.

I prefer 165 grain 40. 185 grain 45‼️

Thanks for commenting. Yes, the 180gr is a bit on the heavy side for 40SW, but I was trying to use ammo that was as comparable as possible for a good result. I'm hoping to make more videos in the future with this gun (if I'm able to bring it back to the channel) and I'll pick up some 165gr ammo for performance review.

185 light ammo to 45acp 180 is heavy to 40,that is not fair

It was the best I was able to come up with to have the same brand and model of ammo across both calibers for a semi-equitable test

Yeah, I've got pistols in all three chamberings, and I see no need to invest in the 10mm, the 45 and 40 do just fine. The 9 has always left me feeling a bit underwhelmed, but it's sure been effectively used in a lot of combat for more than a century. The big draw to the 9 and 40 is capacity, and if you belong to the "Spray and Pray" crowd, then those have to be your first choices. Personally, I still prefer a 4" 357 with full tilt 158 semi wadcutters, and use as few shots as necessary.

Capacity is a huge factor to a lot of people. I really have no preference as far as that goes, I can always carry an extra mag with me.

I am up in the Northern part of the state. I know the area, I'm glad you call it by the right name, I've heard some folks that aren't from here call the area from Hayden to Silverwood all North Hayden because it sounds fancier.
