best molina cover ever. wish they'd do a whole album of molina covers

I discovered Jason Molina few years ago through this video and I am grateful for that. Lioness is such an amazing album.

this is probably the most beautiful live I've seen, and now it became one of the best things I've heard. it made me cry

Patrick Walker is a talented vocalist. It shows clearly in this performance.

I just discovered 40 Watt Sun a few hours ago. I have been a huge Jason Molina fan for a very, very long time. I've binged most of 40 Watt Sun's catalog already, and a few times during that binge I for some reason thought about Molina. Their sound is not necessarily the same, but the vibe has a LOT in common. So imagine my surprise when I come looking for more 40 Watt Sun to listen to... and I find this. I have not even listened yet, and I'm already digging it.

This is AMAZING.I'm listening Jason Molina for some time, but this cover is really something...slowly than original but it fits so well voice of this great singer.

I'd say Jason would approve, his musical genius and influence will always remain!!!!!!

Watched this a few years ago and went down the rabbit hole of Jason Molina after. If you're a fan of Patrick Walker definitely check out the album Lioness, Ghost Tropic, and (my personal fave) Didn't it rain. Some deeply emotional stuff.

When I hear this cover, I imagine my personal last moments on this earth, grabbing at the final strings of breath I may have inside me, and slowly fading into the night. This is a song that to me defines Molinas inner angst and pain, while also shedding light into the dark, not too much though, not enough to survive, but enough to see your final moment, perhaps the moon in your eyes. This has the same emotion that Blue Chicago Moon does, I’d love to hear Pat cover that. Amazing cover.

Almost every line/word fell in the wrong place like a blind man pitching cards into a hat. What effect given by the voice improving echo verber was achieved by Jason's vocal chords. It could have been a good listen but I have to many hours logged in listening to JM.
