For years, Fresh Tracks host Randy Newberg, has driven through this area and promised, "Someday I'm gonna hunt deer here." This hunt is when "someday" finally arrives. With only a short window in his calendar, Randy fulfills the promise he made to himself. And he is very he did.
He has a few spots in mind, that he decides to try out, starting with a 5 year old burn. He spends the first couple days "scouting" even though season is open. He's able to find some good bucks, and is able to put on a good stalk.
