Germany’s T+A began its line of Criterion speakers in the early 1980s. As founder Siegfried “Siggi” Amft explains in this video, the company began with two models, the TMR 70 and TMR 100. Shortly after, the company released the TMR 160, which wound up being the company’s most successful-selling speaker ever, with more than 11,000 units sold. Over the next 40 years, the company followed the Criterion TMR speakers up with many several other series of Criterion models.
On February 27, 2024, the company released the newest Criterion model: the S 230. Like all Criterion models before it, this one features transmission-line bass loading and numerous other technically advanced features. Watch this video to learn more about the models made over those 40 years and to find out what the new features in the S 230 are.

As a proud owner of Criterion TCD 110 S', it was very interesting to learn the history and evolution of the product line. Thank you.

Is there a real reason for bi-wire speakers and if that’s the case good jumpers will be best or better to use bi-wire cables? Please… please… very anxious for your response. Thank you very very much.🙏🙏🙏🙏…..

This is a question that comes up often. It really depends on the crossover design, but in most instances, no, there's not much if any benefit to biwiring.

He misspoke. He meant 50 kilohertz

Love TLs but I couldn’t think of a worse placement for the crossover.
