I love going to shops selling plates, and kitchen equipment. I seldom buy things, because I have too many things already! Every time I go to Daiso here (in Australia) I like to look at the small plates! I really enjoyed watching the video of you travelling around Tokyo! I was there around 1998, for about 6 months working (Tokyo and Yokohama). I really enjoyed my time there, and have been wanting to go back for a real holiday! I miss the food so much! I cook Katsudon all the time. I will need to get some Shichimi to try with it!

You sound like a lovely, normal, considerate person - which makes me happy as I too love looking at the small plates etc at Daiso here in Sydney but also seldom buy for exactly the same reason, so either we're both sane or both crazy 😊😊 I still can't resist occasionally but only after some consideration - even though it's not stupidly expensive and easy to justify compared to eating out. I love dipping into my collection as watching videos from RU-vidrs has really heightened my awareness of food presentation. A meal really IS more enjoyable when the food is beautifully presented. Cheers to a fellow Aussie!
