As a owner of a 1975 Mercedes Benz 450 SLC in original condition and my everyday driving one at that. I am absolutely blown away by this conversion. It is brilliantly done! Sounds so AMAZING!!! I am 70 years old and work on my own, but I would love to own a second one like this too. There's a young lad in all of us... The photography and video are done in a truly Professional manner, what I love the most is that it was not scripted and came across with passion. Thank you for all the hard work that went into this!

This is one of the coolest builds I've seen in a while, super fucking clean.

Larry you've been hitting it out of the park with all of this Japan content.

His breaks alone are worth more then some cars, let alone the one off custom wheels, tons of fab work, and electrical work and the insane engine swap, damn. When I see builds like this I can't help but think of need for speed. Taking a base model, upgrading each piece until you end up with max style, and power.

I LOVE this build. So low key and classic and still ripping the streets up!! Nicely done. Makes me want to get an R129..

Super OG build. Gets squirrelly on a roll shows massive power . Awesome sleeper.

I love the build. A clean older chassis with tasteful mods that require a closer look. A true sleeper build.... That chassis was also available with an inline 6. The custom offset AMG styled replica wheels set it off plus the AMG steering wheel.😮

Sick build. You have to have a vision to keep it that stock with everything functional.

My father had a 450SLC from new...Metallic Green, Even had sheepskin seats. As a young boy, that car was just an awesome experience to sit in....my dads had M3s and M5s since....but they never came close to the sheer build,power and class of the 450SLC. It barely fit in our double garage at an angle. Must have one of the longest bonnets in automotive history. Beauty and the beast. At the time...this was the flagship car in the Merc range.....love that these guys have taken the SLC to a different level.

i was thinking the engine swap was crazy but then he starts talking about the breaks ... ferrari breaks f40 up front and f430 in the rear . mind blown !

Love this entire build and had to get the wheels for my own 450SLC. No engine swap for me but the HWA Asteroid wheels made a big difference in the overall look that I am extremely pleased with for my 1979 450SLC. Search for "450SLC ryson" to see the big change from OEM bundt wheels to these HWA Asteroid wheels. Thanks Larry for highlighting this build!

Japanese car enthusiasts are next level. We always see the most incredible builds in Japan, and this ImHO is a perfect example. I follow the owner on IG and am in total love with this build. The fact he kept everything as close to stock looking as possible, yet made custom parts to enhance the vehicle in an “AMG-esq” way is simply incredible. Those wheels are gorgeous. And so is the interior…he left perfection alone which I give high praise, right down to the stock tape deck. So happy to see this vehicle featured. 11/10 Build for me 👌I hope his S class wagon will be featured as well, it looks SO DAMN Gorgeous too!

this is actually my dream built, or close to it at least. I'm working on a 1989 sec and swapping a 2jz in it as well! this build gave me a lot of insight and possible variations I can do. My car isn't as clean as this, but hopefully it will be one day! I'm in love with this build.

I had a 79 450SL Diamond Jubilee edition with 12k original miles. Wanted to LS swap it so bad but my dad ended up selling it for $3k like an idiot. The guy that bought it turned around and sold it again for $35k to a collector…

Man i love this guy modification style. All of this car parts was mixed from other parts. A mercy with supra engine, turbo from Mitsubishi, and brakes from different Ferrari. That was cool hybrid (i meant not hybrid car like Prius)
