Oh my goodness! This is so good! Am I understanding that once I add my .8 inches (or whatever I need) do you also add the seam allowance to that increase?

Hey @marianita420, steps are as follow: Measure across at the Bust, Waist, or Hips Multiple by 2 Subtract the seam allowance (if cut on fold, subtract 1.25", if cut not cut on fold subtract 2.5") Now determine how much you need to add (example, the pattern measures 34" (front and back pattern piece), but you need 35". Take that 35" (what you need), minus 34" (pattern front and back) then subtract those two numbers, which gives you 1". You have two sides for the front and two sides for the back so you need to distribute the 1", which means you need to divide by 4 (because you have two sides on the front, and two sides on the back). This means you should add 1/4" on the side seam for the front and back pattern pieces. I hope this helps and explain it!

@@rochelle.handmade.designs Indeed it does. I appreciate you Rochelle.Tired of just going with larger pattern that fits hips or waist and the rest way is too big.😊

@@marianita420 My pleasure! I know that felling. I would definitely by the pattern based on finished garment measurement instead of what the pattern is stating as the pattern to buy.
