Hey mate, of course. Stability is sorted by widening track, but fuel consumption is unavoidable. The Patrol on 40s averages 47-49L/100km (5 mpg) combined onroad and offroad.

What are the crawler gears like on the road, are the revs simular to a stock patrol?

Crawler gears don't affect HI range, only LO. For HI, you can change diff gears to suit the tyres.

Radials don't have the aggressive side biters. Bias ply come in two types: hard compound or competition (sticky). The ones on the Patrol are stickies.

Aussie Four Wheelers (Hemi4WD) From the best of your knowledge and experience, between the 2 Bias ply compounds, are there any considerable difference in kms and most importantly side wall flex? Do those 2 compounds share the same tread and side biter pattern? Considering the Bias 35" for my Jeep XJ, but not quite sure which compound.

Yes, they look exactly the same. The hard compound ones last twice longer.

The GU being a weekend warrior and sitting aside for few days, have you experienced any deformation of the tyre shapes (flattening contact patch) like old day bias plys did?

@@AussieFourWheelers Are shock lengths what's causing the click clacking when your gu flexes? I understand you're running 6" Dob coils & like something like 10-12" shocks... Would it solve these noises to run shorter shocks? Like 8" shocks or something?

It's the reseating of the coils which has been fixed since then. It's nice and smooth now and no noises. Just gotta wait until I use up all the old footage lol

Hector Heath it's 2018 not 1998 ... no one runs a 35 with a foot of space above the tire for "up travel" on a crawler ... take your rig to Wal-Mart to show off your up travel .
