For those not in the know, the space wolves are often mocked by 40k fans for basically having WOLF in the name of everything. Wolf Claws, wolf tanks, wolf amulets, wolf priests, etc. The apparent in LORE reason for this is that, often the names used among the space wolves were often names in native Fenrykan and it doesn't translate very well to the 'Basic' language used in the Imperium.........so basically the Imperium just used Wolf for everything associated with them and the Space Wolves are just too annoyed/uncaring to ever correct them.
Sounds like something that Imperialist nations have done over and over. “Iroquois” and “Eskimo” were insulting nicknames for the Haudenosaunee and Inuit peoples, but then became the “official names“ everywhere else. Heck, even “Indian” is a misnomer that stuck around for centuries.

At least with the Space Wolves the stuff that is named wolf in their codex has different rules. Unlike the blood angels that named everything blood and it's all basic gear.
If Russ ever comes back I want him to basically look at the imperials calling all of his people wolf this wolf that. and basically be like. "Ok fine if you all wont learn there names. Instead Ill just change mine To something easier." and basically reform his legion with either different animal totem names (bear,hawk,fox,Mammoth yada yada) or more norse,vikingish names for things such as a hesir,jarl,thane,etc
@@Ulfhednir9 Following orders blindly is not loyalty...it is the sign of a servant. A warrior makes sure the orders are sound. This is why the US military has in it's code that a soldier can always disobey an unlawful order or an order they believe to be unlawful. The wolves are warriors.

I started my foray into WH by picking up some Space Wolves minis thinking "these look cool to paint". Little did I know. I also picked up a beer stein later that day at a different store. Coincidence?
Russ didn’t abandon Terra!!! He chose to leave terra in Rogal Dorns hands. Russ chose to face Horus head on before he got to Terra… if only he hadn’t hesitated…..
He would have eviscerated Horus. Russ was considered the top fighter. The absolute peak when he went into a berserker rage. Sanguinius even stated nothing could stand before Russ and hope to survive, not even another primarch, when he gave himself over fully to his battle rage. Sanguinius is also one of the absolute best duelists, he would know. The other top fighter? The Khan! Everyone always forgets about him but yes the White Scars' primarch is considered one of the best of the best. Those are the top 3 fighters of both loyalist and traitor primarchs. Horus was in the middle. Guiliman was just a touch better than Horus if memory serves. There is a part in the books where they are all sitting around talking about it and Sanguinius basically uses his sight ability and says it like it is. He flat out told Fulgrim that should he challenge Russ he would never regain his pride due to how badly he would loose.
You know it's a 40K Theories video when "Indeed" is Heavily emphasized at the beginning of a sentence. You could probably turn this into a drinking game with all the little troupes the writing has.

@@Nempo13 The only times the Wolves had more than a chapter worth was during the Great Crusade, at the start of the Second Founding and at the start of the Ultima Founding when the Primaris Marines were issued. They released a great company number guide towards the end of seventh before the return of the Wulfen and Wrath of Magnus that showed even though they had twelve great companies only the Blackmanes and Champions had more than a hundred marines and the Chapter's overall number was just over nine hundred. Comes from valuing their saga over their lives.
Thoroughly enjoyed the video, great logical intro Into the Vlka Fenryka. Even for a seasoned Lore addict. For the next installation Maybe add the recent lore relating to the wolf Time and the interaction between the great wolf and the legion breaker himself, the Lord commander Roboute Guilliman. it would give newbies a good insight into the franchise and let them understand why the most powerful being in the imperium less the Emperor Roboute Guilliman keeps calm when insulted at every turn by what's left of the space wolves in respect to his brothers sons and the absolute necessity of keeping one of the most famous 1st founding legions/chapters alive.
Now a question for you all. Exactly how many times did the narrator say the words “wolf” and “wolves”. Edit. Here’s a challenge for all y’all who want to drink like a space wolf. Russ didn't abandon Terra, he sought to defeat the enemies before they could reach terra and before the Traitors gained more strength thus protecting terra and its people better than letting the enemy gain strength and ravage the planet.
@@40KTheories he "left" Terra to protect Terra (and get a bit of revenge) if he succeeded then Terra would be safe. my mom is on a ventilator and I saw her breathing the 1st and 2nd day then nothing the 3rd 4th and 5th day but now it's the 6th day and I swear I saw her breath a few times but now they intend to run a cerebral perfusion scan on her brain tomorrow and I need her blood flow to be there even if her lungs won't work even if anything else is happening in her body if her brain has blood flow to it she's alive oh God Jesus please let her pass I need her to have that blood flow her name is Tonya Kay McClure
