PLEASE NOTE: If you want the Free Audiobook offer - you only get this with the Audible Premium Plus, not Audible Plus. Around XMAS this year I asked you guys to vote on which video would come next - you guys chose a new Titan video and so here we are - a Mechanicum war of the Heresy between the bitter rivalries of the ForgeWorlds within the Belt of Iron. Hope you guys enjoy, this is quite the massive video - I hope people will get involved with the Audiobook club as well - details will be on my Community Tab via the main channel page - I will post nearer the time.
Luetin09 hello, love your stuff, you are the reason I got me and my brother into the hobby. Personally I would love to see more wargear or planet type videos. All your videos are great tho.
Have you considered making videos about the warhammer 40k books? More specifically I've listened to several audio books dealing with the return of Roboute Guilliman. I'd love to see you cover those stories, especially the one where the Emperor seems to use a little girl as a vessel to help Guilliman at one point. I'd love to see a video on those books and hear your opinion on the whole thing.
I still reckon the fall of cadia can be used as a means to record the start of the 42nd millenium. After all. Everyone saw it happen at... what I can only hope was the same time. If not, it prooves a good starting date for the new system, that would have to take into account the new time dilations.
Luetin just want you to know, your videos have pulled me into this incredible universe that is 40k. I personally don't play the table top, but listening to your videos keep my interest peeked and ready for what you release next. Please continue doing an amazing job and I can't wait to see where you will take your lore videos to next. Thank you.
@@troywillis9873 My friend, no matter who old you are, the Hobby Monastery welcomes you. If for some reason you can't paint/build your own, but would be willing and able to spend some extra coin, there is hundreds if not thousands of services out there which will create your army for you. It doesn't have to be all at once, too. If you're not sure about it, there is so much to learn and enjoy in the assembly of your models alone. There is great starter kits with nothing more than 2-3 miniatures from the different armies. All you need at first is a kit, some plastic clue, a pair of clippers and a hobby knife. Taking your time with it is okay, and doing so at your desk with a cup of coffee and a luetin video playing next to it is one of the most wholesome soul-food activities in my opinion. The painting itself can also be done in multiple different ways, from simple, yet effective and good looking techniques to to very intricate and mind numbingly detailled. Both can look very good, especially if there is a bunch of them painted in the same style. Even in the grimdark setting of the 41st millenium, the most important ingredient is love. But either way, if you have some grimdark 40k warriors of your own making or not standing vigilant in your living space or not, great to hear that you enjoy exploring the vast lore of the Warhammer 40.000 Universe. Feel free to tell me more about your own story, how you found it, what factions you like, and if you can even imagine getting into the hobby side of things.
"The Titanic Cataclysm Of Iron" is a perfect metaphorical representation of the climax I reached when I saw a fresh, nearly 2-hour long, 40k lore upload.
I get back from the game store after finally getting my hands on the new necron v space marine starter set and this pops up. Truly the emperor is smiling upon me this day.
@@seand.g423 true, but at the time of writing that comment, it hadn't happened. I still love the franchise, but the company and their practices are...questionable to say the least.
@@aguspuig6615 there was a 1st war for armageddon with a demon invasion after a narrow victory all survivors were purged and the planet moved and re populated
I am conveniently painting a Reaver titan as Legio Ignatum for Adeptus Titanicus. Now I can listen to new narrated lore on said titans while painting them. Thanks Leuton! My night just got better :D
"No, the Mechanicus will not reverse-engineer them and I explained why many times at that point" - The only *real* reason they don't, is because if the Emperium reverse-engineered all their relics and started producing them again, they would delete every other faction in about a year flat and Games Workshop can't have that.
Imagine cloning a human today. But instead of a crying humanity, you got one with bolters thats ready to burn you at the stake before you even finished proposing your idea. Even within a story you gotta keep it "real", i know what you mean, but as a game designer i can tell you, if they did that, it would have happened right after they forgot how it works, now you have no chance without killing all of the built up zeal that keeps all factions together. It would be like literally disproving the existence of god.
That’s the same reason the emperor, In his grand wisdom, didn’t think to hold on to a complete STC. By all rights he definitely had/has the ability to hide one on earth and protect it, but as far as I know he never did that
@Clyde Craft Emps on his Throne: “You know, maybe I should’ve told someone other than Malcador that I had a spare STC stashed away just in case I was grievously wounded and needed a device for immediate revival/rehabilitation. Cry.”
@@ianharrison5758 Screw STC (AI after all which could install backdoors, throw tantrums etc) but at at least uncorrupted hard-copies. One is probably in Omega Vault ;)
The advantage of a universe the size of 40k is that even if something is considered "rare" there are still probably billions of them across the galaxy. You can also cram a hell of a lot of events into a very short period of time.
The universe itself is saved from being torn asunder about 50 times a day, and that’s just random butterfly effects preventing accidental catastrophe. It’s hard to estimate if you consider the actions of all known beings.
@@FumblsTheSniper the marvel universe is actually destroyed regularly... pretty much all of marvel except a few of the most powerfull beings are reset every 20-35 years....
Its actually kinda funny that, in terms of percentage at least, the crusade in 40k was actually MUCH less violent than the crusades of the 2nd millennium. Seriously, the historical crusades were actually much worse than the ones which led worlds to rejoin the Imperium. I mean, yeah, obviously the black crusades are (literal) hell, but I am just talking about this one.
I know you get many different comments from all sides of the spectrum when it comes to videos like this but I want you to know that the amount of effort that you put into these videos means a great deal to some of us because you're videos are so detailed and intricate yet your voice is so calming What I can't do that myself. I have an annoying case of PTSD that messees with sleep and your videos no bullshilt help me... thank you brother.
Incidentally, if a star was artificially made to explode, recognize that no one would "see" it until the light could get there. I know in Sci-fi we are prone to playing fast and loose with such stuff, (and leaving Relativity out entirely for obvious reasons), but I find it sometimes helpful in reminding myself of the vast distances involved. The Warp and things like the Web Way may make travel faster, but light from an exploding star will not be noticed by those in the next system for years, decades, centuries or more, all depending on how far away it is..... Just saying..... .
Okay, straight up, if GW ever did a live action film or trailer with the Primarchs in it, name me someone who’d fit the roll of Magnus better than this man Love the content, lue, banger as always 🤟
Sweet Emperor's Bones, a new video! Huzzah! I've been binge-rewatching all your lore videos because damn, do you do a hell of a job. I've never seen someone quite like you on RU-vid. Research, time, dedication and endless amounts of effort, yet you still remain so insanely humble and somehow manage to doubt yourself after all the work you sink into these things when I'm sure you've got other things to do in your life. I enjoy the absolute heck out of your videos because even though I'm not even close to being knowledgeable about 40K and I really can't get into the tabletop games, this world and the lore is nuts and you make it so easy to understand for me. Not only that but your style of narration is incredible. You emphasize what needs to be emphasized and your emotive tones are spot on. Magnificence. You might have been a bard in another life. Leutin, I hope you have some pride in yourself for being as thorough in your work as you are, as good a content creator as you are, and for being as good a human as you are. Keep up the good work, but please also take care of yourself and don't stress out about getting videos out quickly. Have a lovely weekend. Take a break, kick your feet up if life will allow. Now, to sit myself down and listen to your lovely voice regaling me with the tales of terror of the grimdark future of the 41st Millenium.
recently started listening to the 40k books on Audible, i think it may be easier to read them as a newbie. There is nothing familiar about the lore to new readers and its easy to get lost in the voice and not be paying attention to whats actually being said. That said, Guants Ghost is pretty damn good so far.
I keep thinking "LT's videos can't possibly get any better?" And yet here we are, enjoying, once more an excellently written, edited, narrated and an all round better upload than the last. Hail to the King.
Whyyyy did i start getting into 40k lore! Now i have, oh i don't know, thirty tabs with videos i need/want to watch, some just to understand others... while still going "wait, WHO? ... WHAT?... WHERE IS THAT!" and wanting even more videos about some things who were just quickly mentioned in videos.. like this spiderplanet here! :D But it's so stupid and crazy and epic, i love it! :D
Sadly many of the details and specifics are rarely described. Unlike another universe like star wars, 40K lore is wide whereas star wars is tall. In 40k you get the general big picture about the galaxy and the way that that galaxy operates, but many places and characters get very little lore unless they're important. In star wars, there are many in depth look into specific places, events, ect. But much of the galaxy is left blank. 40K is mostly setting focused whilst star wars is story focused.
Great video. It is nice to see the forces of the Imperium getting a clear cut victory every now and then. A hard-fought one, sure, but a victory none the less.
The susceptibility of the Mechanicus always surprised me. Some fleshy mortal’s insistence on keeping their skin is already a far cry from what is considered best by the Mechanicus. But to step even further away by replacing human flesh with gooey demonic sinew? Hahaha, weakness!
Dear Leutin, precious and admirable Scribe of the Imperium. I write to you with a most peculiar and humbling Question. Waht does the Arrival of a Saint mean? Are they truly a part of the Emporers ever wandering Soul? Or are they a misleading sign from the Warp? If iam incorrect. I eagerly await your Answer and i give thanks in advance. Signed: Felix Reuß, admirer of Stars.
Hot damn! Work has been a hectic nightmare this week and this is exactly what I needed to relax and listen to while I build some more 40k models. Thanks for even more epic content LT!
There is just nothing else quite like a lore video from LT on RU-vid. The music, the ambience, the imagery, and the structure of the videos themselves make a 30 min segment describing the histories of a bunch of random planets absolutely enthralling. Outstanding work as always, LT!
The dark mechanicum is the most mysterious and unspoken of faction of the 40K universe. Maybe it's time for our best scolar Luetin to shed a light on them. Just sayin' ! (sorry for my english, i'm French, love your work. AVE DOMINUS NOX!)
What would it take to get you to read a 40k novel to us? I would be more than happy with little stops maybe explaining some lore here in there, in other words take my money LT!
It filled me with great levels of joy to hear you say it made no sense for agri worlds to be limited in defense. I was thinking it as the side started. I've been dating this for a long time. I mean loads of agri worlds are just knight worlds. That feels silly
OMG LUETIN DADDY LOVE ME thanks for all the content over the past months of me listening, helped me through some hard times. wish i had some money i'd give it to you =] Thumbs up boiiiis
Nice some long ass content for me to watch over the entire week while in bed, probably only make it to 10-15 minutes through one sitting before I pass out & continue it the next night lol!
Wait, so Jerulas Station was taken over by AI? AI with weapons that can eviscerate fleets in mere moments? And we're not going to do anything about it? This seems like a poor idea in the long term.
Currently sick (you can guess with what). I'm doing pretty well, so no worries. I mention it because I'm about to start watching this for the third (?) time, and thanks to the intermittent fever spikes, it"s like watching it for the first time. Yay!
My god, LT, you gotta give me a warning when you're gonna drop a near-two hour bomb right in the late evening! I need to get snacks and a beverage, because Story Time just came to town.
I was wondering when we will get a men of Iron faction in 40k ? Or should we just leave it be? When I read Man of Iron. The Giant Robot mentioned that he met the Machine God. There might be a link to the Man of Iron and the Mechanicus some time in the distant past.
I love these videos and I always have the same question... how are titans ACTUALLY deployed to the planet? Are the sent down and assembled? Do they have rockets attached for landing and take off for reloading and transport?
special deployment "casket" ships basically a maintence gantry with a ship built round it or sometimes a kind of landable hangar castle thing for several at once, its all in the lore somewhere
i dont play warhammer thou i enjoy the lore, your lore. thank you for making these videos. your a blessing in these darktimes covid the world etc thank you again sir
With all the different place names, I found I had to go through and take notes, or else I'd totally lose track of what was going on. So here's a brief cheat sheet for locations detailed in the Core Worlds Background section: Atar Median: Junior Forge World with a chip on their shoulder Graia: Forge Planet of the Data Scientists Valia Maximal: Used to have an Empire, now hates Graia Kalibrax: Imperium helped them resolve their omnicidal cult problem, has strong ties to Mars but declared for the Imperium when hostilities began. Arachnus: Natives hate the Imperium, Titan Legions love the Big E. Urdesh: Can't make Titans, defected after being promised the tech to do so. Dironth (aka "Jerulas Station"): Conquered and stripped of its name Arl'yeth: Seemingly regressed world obsessed with studying its buried xenos archaeotech Findari Spoil: Stable warp route Ny'Drinah Sub-Sector: Sub sector where the other forge worlds are fighting over mining rights
Sir you are without a doubt one of the best channels on RU-vid. Quality always beats quantity when it comes to video content. Love the emotions I can hear in your voice. Thank you for the time and effort you put into your work.
Hey Luetin I love your videos but instead of explaining why the Imperium can’t create or relearn technology every time an easier way to explain it is by saying “Technology and knowledge is iterative. It builds on itself. You can have an ancient factory make a car for centuries with proper upkeep but you can’t get it to make a wooden cart.” Just my ¢2
im late!!!! Also Had to comment on that downed 40k scale knight in the titanicus battle. Such a cool photo, I couldn't waste my knight on scenery but kodos to whoever did that!
Luetin - I just want to say thankyou, I know were all in the shit right now but your content really helps me to relax, enjoy my interest and get to sleep. I always find it hard at this time of year with the dark days (I live in England) but when I can appropriate W40K to the environment my imagination runs wild, the epicness of it all allows me to go into my fantasy imagination state, allows me to create in my mind, its kinda hard to explain. Either way thanks so much for your content, and to everyone who reads this stay safe, lets get rid of this virus. FOR THE EMPEROR!! :D
Hello Luetin please can you do a video on Janus/Arvida as he seems to be a very interesting character and there isn't much about him on RU-vid. Thankyou for your hard work and top quality content as always.
@luetin09 Oh oh I have a question. That one forge world that has/had ancient xeno archeotech that the tech priests studied. Believing it could make them one the omnissiah. Did that archeotech ever come in play in the war? Or implied that it was responsible for some ofthe stranger outcome?
