Thanks, I love the process of kitbashing and converting to make unique things, so the real big builds like this a both a big challenge and a lot of fun. There's so many individual steps, and stuff that I go through so quick at times or even go back and undo if it doesn't look right, that instructions for each individual step would be way too long to properly right if I can even remember it all. These videos I make(along with the pictures) are probably the most comprehensive guides I can put out if you want to make your own. If you want to see more, I go through my stuff step-by-step almost daily as I make my builds with pictures on my twitter, and you can see me doing some parts in real time on my streams. I'm not sure how much more detail I can go into, but if you have any questions on specific parts or techniques I'd be happy to answer them

Thanks, and yeah, I justify a lot of my builds lore-wise by saying it's lost dark/golden age of tech-era, either recovered STCs or attempted recreations of incomplete records of it. I really like that aspect to the 40k setting and try to explore it a lot with my admech

I will keep an eye out for their bits in the future, it's just with this build the focus was the sphere chest, which no battle suits match the shape off, and I kind of blocked myself out of putting a cockpit in after messing up the plasticard panel hatch and making some changes to the sphere I couldn't undo

I'm not sure yet, maybe something a bit smaller like a squad/killteam or a techpriest, maybe revisit my black templars, since the tankhead artbook is coming out next month and I wanna be able to make another, bigger kitbash for that, so a small thing to fill the gap until then would fit well.

I know they're supposed to be a great help, but my focus is more on the building side than the painting, so I've never felt the need to upgrade since a basic cardboard palette still gets the job done well for me. I'm not against them, I just don't feel like it's a necessity, I may pick one up if I find a good deal or something, but I'm in no rush

@@DumbRobotStuff if you feel like just trying it to see if you like it they're super easy to DIY. Old take out container, wet kitchen roll and baking paper.

That was something I was already considering actually, I do need a aerial transport for my admech and I did wanna build something to proxy for an archaeopter since I don't really like the normal model

Of all the mechs I've done videos on? Probably the legion dreadnought. I wouldn't say any of them are that easy, I've only gotten to this point after doing these conversions for a few years, but hopefully my videos break them down well enough, and I'd be happy to answer any additional questions

Thanks, it's kinda hard to track, since I do bits here and there whenever I find time, this one took about a month and a half, going very roughly, working on it about an hour or two a day weekdays, then 3-5 hours weekends, I'd say around 100 hours at least

Yeah, that is something I was thinking on looking back, unless I specifically have something in mind, I just end up doing it in similar colours to the model, which isn't great, I do wanna do better on that side going forward, just gotta give it a bit more thought on what exactly to do for the bases first
