In this video guide, we will see the steps to install and configure Remote Desktop Services (RDS) on Windows Server 2019 using quick start deployment method. Follow my blogs on msftwebcast.com
where during or after the isntallation of the RDS service, informs you which address/ip to enter to the browser in order for the gui to load up ? Probably with this kind of installation you only allow local domain users to use the service. If those users were to enter via an external network, an RDS Gateway shouldn't be configured as well?
Hello nice video, However when launching for e.g PAINT, the remote desktop keeps loading without opening the APP and I got this message : An internal error has occured
When I selected session-based desktop deployment it failed because I wasn't connected to a domain (fresh demo installation of 2022) so I had to choose role based.
You do not show how after the new RDS role installation and reboot, the collection "QuickSessionCo..." is suddenly displayed under RD Session Host @5:18 It had to be configured previously, but then your procedure is not valid as it is providing the parameters which cannot be configured during normal first-time RDS role installation.
From 3:40 i get the error “Failed: The WS-Management service cannot process the request. The service is configured to not accept any remote shell requests.” I tried already to change in GPO to enable allowRemoteShellAcces. I have looked in my firewall for http ports to enable it inboud and outband. How to fix this problem!
Hello I dont understand a single word. Please can I get a transcription of this video so I can understand. Thank you all from the mountain. Amazing video Mr IT guy.
Hello All, Is anyone please help me with how to renew RDS after 120 days? If you modify\Delete Grace period in the Registry setting will it work for Dedicated Dectop allocation?
Those are the domain users which I have created earlier. Check out the video on How to create domain user accounts in Windows Server 2019 active directory. Link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cETbT22TWEE.html
i am unable add RDS role by the way you are showing. getting an error "you must be logged on as a domain user to access the remote desktop services installations options"...
@@MSFTWebCast Thank you very much for taking the time to reply. So at minute 9:11 of this video on the mstsc box, should I use the Public IP of the Server? But tihs would require that I enable port forwarding on every user's router which is unmanageable. I think this is only meant to be used by Server Administrators so that they can remote in the server from home. But if multiple users need to remote in to their PC at the office then this would not be an ideal solution having to configure every user's router
You dont have to do anything on client end (User end). You just need to open required ports on server side. If the public IP is directly not assign on server then you have to configure port forwarding.
