Based on some recent comments, this method may have been patched. I have not played this game in a while so I am not sure. I would appreciate confirmation one way or another. If it is patched I will leave the video up, as the comments contain many other suggestions of similar methods of farming nanites. If I ever make it back around to this game I may make an updated video with new methods. Thank all for the interest. I don't monetize my channel. This is purely for sharing information.
I just started playing NMS this week and for a new player this is huge. it still works the exact same this will give me a huge jump up in nanites thanks alot.
There is an item called, Starship AI something can't remember off the top of my head, they sell for 500mil credit each. I maxed my credits to 4.5 trillion or whatever the max amt is by duplicating. There are videos out there and just gotta get lucky for someone to gift you one first.
Starship AI valve. Yea, I just salvage a few Interceptors when I want $$ or nanites now. Still have my mould and gold farms though. Mould farm can harvest 240k of nanites per hour, but takes time to refine.. (I just use about 50 refiners at once) Gold farm produces about 120 mil per day.
@@derickliz1081 I got side tracked with adulting, also my nanites may be a bit low ATM, I'm going to test it to do just with small amounts to see if it does. I'll update you in a bit!
BTW if you buy all of the animal companion slots before you transfer the 1 resource to a player, you will unlock the companion slots and keep the nanites spent on them.
Someone gave me a ship salvage part when I was talking to someone or something. I didn’t even realize it until I was looking in my inventory and found it. The part was worth 50mil. I damn near shat.
Still works as of 9/21/21. The highest value upgrade I could get was 174, but even with a mostly empty exosuit, I still got 6-7k nanites per run (about 2 minutes). I feel bad just giving someone a Tritium, so I'll probably give them something more worthwhile. lol. Have to admit this is much faster than farming ships for hours, although with that method, you get other items and units as well. Thanks for the video!
@@garbuckle3000 thanks mate. I really was looking for a recent comment to know if I could do that. The only sad part is whenever I go to the anomaly there's barely 2-3 people
@@samnicks14 unless it gets patched in the two mins it takes you to complete a cycle then you are good. This hasn't been patched for a LONG time, i doubt it ever will be unless the devs also seriously modify the nanite farming methods to make they much less grindy. They devs obviously know about this and dont patch it specifically so that people who want to do it can, rather than address the larger problem of the grind that would drive many away from the game.
Ngl, I was a little worried this was a gimmick video, just from how many seemingly unnecessary details there were. But you explained everything very nicely. Good video, thanks. Even getting 50k nanites would seriously help me
a random guy gave me 4 doughnuts over a period of like 10 minutes and now I know why LOL of course seeing them in my inventory triggered me and I had to go out and buy some IRL
A great tip for those without the exosuit fully unlocked: After buying from Ares, go to Selene and unlock an inventory slot, only then you trade 1x Tritium to someone, then reload the save. The exosuit station has players more frequently, eliminating the need to search for one. This allows you to upgrade your inventory in one place, without jumping between Space Stations or searching for drop pods. You'll still pay the full price though. PS. Great video, thrice explained! Still working as of 06/10/2021.
@@muffinmayhem7708 yeah it worked impeccably until then. Idk they might have patched it very recently but it worked fine for me: 1. Buy a bunch of stuff and fill ur inventory 2. transfer 1 tritium to another person in multiplayer (this saves your inventory but not your credit/nanite/quicksilver amount) 3. reload 4. sell 5. profit XD idk maybe they patched it I haven't played NMS in a couple weeks so idk
I maybe a bit late, but I found using this method, you can also max out your inventory slots! Thanks much! After purchasing the module, head over to the exosuit upgrade and grab the available slot. After that send the tritium and reload! The slot will be saved and you can repeat the process. 2 birds one stone
Daaamn awesome tip man thank you. Still works today on 08/04/2021. BTW for console player, use the D-Pad and press left to get the maximum amount of upgrades, then keep hitting left until you can buy them all.
@Sparks wait are u serious?! If that’s true I just want u to know thank you so much, I spent it very wisely and I now have an s class activated indium farm making me 60 million every hour, thanks bro u set me for life!
Got 100k in my first 30 mins, but by far I haven’t got the best conditions ie not all inventory slots are unlocked and the ones that are have suit upgrades etc. Works great!! I would recommend something that hasn’t been mentioned in the video. If you want to be safe and make sure this hasn’t been patched out in future from today, buy 1 item instead of filling inventory and doing the same procedure, therefore if it doesn’t work, you’re not losing 50k of nanites or however many you spend filling inventory! If it still works then carry on as the video directs!! Thanks for the guide!!!
Sorry guys, I was very new to the game when I figured this out and made the video. I think I was about 2 weeks into it or so. It was fresh on my mind how many other tutorials I'd seen that assumed a lot of game knowledge that I did not have yet. I wanted to be sure I covered everything. You can always skip through to find what you want but if the info isn't there anywhere, you are out of luck. I do videos like this as a favor to the community, I don't monetize my channel, and I'm by no means a professional youtuber. Considering the original cut was about 45 mins long I think I condensed it quite a bit lol. Thanks for watching, glad you found what you were looking for.
big time saver :) upgraded my blackbird fighter to S and my alien spikey gun to S with this method! thank ya, can confirm still works after patch 3.35!
@@ogoshdamplays8667 thanks :D edit: i see your last 3 comments have been whining about the same thing, go troll somewhere else, your petty bumbling squabbles won't work here, lowly toiler! >:]
(EDIT) Can confirm that it still works (Sept 11, 2021) Frontiers Update. And i think it wont go away soon since there might be more problems if the items will go back to you after giving it to a player when you reload
@@aaronyap2477 s class is the best ship you can get, exotic ships are automatic s classes but others can be upgraded to s class with nanites. a paradise planet is a planet that is nice to look at, his little flora, low sentinel activity, open spots and little aggressive creatures
@@frogman1286 It took me a few times to actually get the order of operations down, but once I had it figured out it went smoothly. Also as of testing any of the currencies that show up by Nanites also work with this.
9/20/2021. Bug Still works great. Not sure if he mentions this in the video but after you sell the Upgrades for nanites make sure u save before u get buy them again. Thanks for the Free nanites. got a few hundred K in like 40 minutes
Damn dude. This still works in Dec 2021. Thx a bunch. Im lazy. I don't wanna search out 36 drop pods before doing this. I'll settle for 17 cargo slots and near empty maxed out exo inv. 7344 profit per 51 slots per loop. Beautiful.
I think I found a better way and of you do it right you can get 60K+ nanites an hour once you get it going. Setup takes a while but once the system is up and running its a mint
It's 04.22.22 and It still works!. Now there is also ship cargo slot and you can buy to your both ship and ship cargo inventory so you can hit almost 200 slots with this. just give a space for tritium for 2 one for full stack and other for just one each time. Thanks for this video you really helped a lot
Instead of doing this just buy an upgrade from a space station or outlaw station, then place the upgrade in the cargo area of your ship, then sell your ship’s inventory and the item won’t disappear so you can sell it infinitely. You can get 1mil nanites in just a few minutes
Very good and efficient method for nanites. The transfer to other players saves everything but the amount of nanites you have gave me an idea of keeping my nanites. I upgraded my multi-tool to S class in the space station and then went to the anomaly to test it. I transferred an Atlas Plass V3 to someone and reloaded the autosave without leaving my ship. And the idea worked. I had 76,988 nanites before upgrading and still have the same after loading my auto save. I don't think I'm the first to test it out but wanted to share it here.
This is brilliant, thank you so much. As a full time working dad of 4, grinding takes up so much of my valuable time when I get chance to play. I've been playing NMS since launch so I feel like I deserve this exploit haha
Glad to hear it, you are exactly the kind of person I made this video for. I have a life too, and I like to play my games. I don't like when my game feels like a second job lol.
I like to give stasis devices since I spent the time to set up farms to craft them and didn't realize theirs a money cap I have shit load of them and no real use for them anymore but to newer players 78,000,000 is a nice gift
This method works for Quicksilver as well. After buying Stuff with Quicksilver you have to gift an Item to another player and reload your last save-point in the same way. After reloading you can see, that your Quicksilver hasn't changed and the Items you bought are labeled as "Purchased" or "available" which means that you don't have to buy them anymore and can just collect the items. The crazy part is that you can buy multiple items at once without having to reload after just one item.
Can confirm this still works today, also works with quicksilver. Get out of plane purchase quicksilver items give away an item auto reset. You will be able to claim what you bought for free get back in ship and rinse wash repeat
Actually that works with Quicksilver too, just tested it ! If you auto-save at your ship, buy an item at the quicksilver shop, give an item to a player and load your quicksave, you keep the amount of quicksilver you had before the purchase and have the item. EDIT : that doesn't work with tech that you can buy (like figurines and trails for ships, the item is marked as bought but you can't install it if you reload the autosave, careful), and for character customization items, emotes or base decorations either (the glitch simply doesn't work). It works so far for items you can put in your inventory (like living ship eggs), pet customization and titles (you earn them even if the item is marked as not bought).
Best nanite method ever. Thx for sharing and keep up the good work. Got around 800k nanites in 2 and a half hours, with less inventory space and further distance. But I think its okay. :)
This is a great guide. another thing I'd like to add, is that if you buy outlaw upgrades and dupe them, you can either sell the upgrades to Ares (I haven't tested this, so theoretically) and they consistently sell for 300+ if I remember correctly. If you don't have the inventory fully unlocked (I'm halfway there) then that could be helpful to you
Sounds interesting. They may patch this some day anyway. I haven't played this game in a while myself, but might circle back around some day. Right now playing Starfield. Just came out and loads of fun. Doesn't have the flight sim feel of No Man's Sky, but the combat is much more engaging.
Everyone is very generous in this game like I started playing this game when beachhead expedition started (sadly I missed the pioneers expedition) and when I visited the anomaly for the first time I was receiving a lot of stuff from random people I was like whoa holy shit lol talk about getting a leg up in the game.
I got 10 stasis devices today which got my economy crashing chlorine farm going very nicely! Honestly so true and i think that the reason is because at some point in the game you have everything unlocked and its easy to make everything so why not give it away to some new players?
Thx, Glad you like it. You only need enough nanites to buy one of the cheapest modules, then you pretty much double your money every time until you have enough to fill your inventory. Its like how if you double a penny 30 times you are a millionaire.
Just did this today, and it worked like a charm. Walked away with 200k nanites, it was absolutely disgusting. This is WAY better then buying/scraping S class ships. I did feel a tiny bit bad hunting down so many people to give them tritium, so I gave 17M units to a new player as atonement lol.
For those of you who want to thumb down my video having nothing to do with the video or the content but your opinion of this method please do so. Thumbs up, thumbs down doesn't matter. The more people respond to the video in any way the more RU-vid shares it so thank you so much for your opinions :) This is like playing monopoly with friends but you all agree to start with 2x the normal money and skip the first grindy hour of the game. Now you can do something interesting with your limited play time instead of grinding. If you don't want to do it by all means don't do it. Anyone who does do it has no effect on you or your game as this is not a multiplayer game, its single player with friends. Why should you care what people do in their single player game? I have never used or released anything like this in an actual multiplayer game where someone using it would actually affect another player.
It’s not a single player game and this does effect other players as you fill up their inventory. Also your disrespect for the math of monopoly offends me as you suggesting making the game much longer. If a monopoly game lasts an hour you are playing it wrong.
@@doublej42 Sorry Jeff but I have never played monopoly with anyone dumb enough to lose in an hour lmfao. You must be the worst monopoly player of all time as that may be a world record for fastest loss. As for FILLING UP THEIR INVENTORY, I don't know anyone in the game who only has a single inventory slot and since I'm gifting a stackable item your assumption that this would "FILL" their inventory is just asinine like the rest of your comment. The fact of the matter is that this IS a single player game in which you are capable of interacting on a very limited level with other players who are also in single player games. Like I said, you don't have to do it. That said you are not not special. Your little rant was without logic or anything remotely resembling a correct argument. Still I appreciate the comment. RU-vid bumps my video up the recommendation list for every comment so please feel free to say something stupid as a response to this too :)
kinda, the problem is while units may not matter too much, nanites are the main currency for progressing upgrades and such in the game. getting 400K nanites in an hour will allow you to just buy everything moving forward after an hour of doing it. i guess people have different fun but for the most part the fun comes not only from exploration and discovery.... but also the satisfaction of acquiring the nanites for your progression. It makes the progression feel empty when you just unlock everything immediately
if you dont have either cargo or normal slots and are in a hurry for more inventory, u can use the ships inventory as an alternative, when you are buying or selling it gives u the option to switch between them .. also for the tritium just leave one slot with a certain amount lets say 50 and then when you're going to give to the person u just hit X to send then keep hitting C until you get to just 1 and then give it, that way you're not wasting the ships slots
You can also glitch the expansion for the exosuit in the same way. After you buy your first stack go and get your exosuit upgrade and then give an item. Then reload and you can keep upgrading it again and again.
just a quiq tip- on PC if you are uusing a controler, ps4 controller is what im using, when you buy just hit the left d pad and it will automatically select the maximum amount you can buy from the stack. also if you install the game on a fast nvme ssd the loading part just takes a second.
1/19/22 this is awesome decided not to wait started with 1,300 nanites and now have over 200k! Made one less greedy and easy change. I don't fool around with breaking down tritium to "trade." I maximize slots by leaving it all open buying the underwater module (Most expensive item) and then trading that (giving) away one module (169 Nanites) make friends and it is faster. With my current (not so good) ship and pack capacity I make around 7K every three minutes! Thanks dude this rocks!
Forgot to add (this may be mentioned elsewhere) but don't forget to empty your ship slots (with teleport on) you can fill up your suit then hit the switch button above fill up the ship, give away a module, reload he last save run back up sell, back down save and repeat!
Thanks for the video great find....bit of constructive feedback, it was a bit long winded and took forever to get the info out there...but agan thanks and gave a thumbs up
The original cut was 45 mins long :). I cut it down quite a bit. I don't monetize my channel, I do these type of videos as a favor to the community. That said, as of now with over 100k views only about 12 people have commented that the video is too long. NOBODY has said I skipped important information lol. I consider that a win. I mean... you can always skip through the video looking for what you need. Thats what I do to most tutorial videos I watch anyway. Thanks for watching, glad you found what you were looking for.
If you're going to do this, why not just use one of the save editors to give yourself nanites? I could add 2 billion in seconds. I am NOT trying to put this find down, but on PC it doesn't seem viable since we can edit saves. I guess this would be better for console players who cannot do edits.
Great video but if I could give some feedback. It was too long. You spent maybe a couple of minutes talking about inventory space, a couple of minutes talking about parking close to the vendor etc. Just shorten the detail a bit (not hating, this video is super helpful) 😊
Sorry, you should have seen the original, was like 45 mins long lol, I trimmed it much as I could, but I was incredibly new to the game at the time and wanted to be sure that other noobs would understand not only everything I was doing that makes this technique so great but also why it is better. For example doing this for an hour but parking on the other side of the station could cost you over 100k in nanites since every cycle would take that much longer to do.
Thanks for this man, i will try this tomorrow. I hope this work, i just started NMS< have like 15 hours . I still have no idea why do people need this many nanites
"I'm going to explain this to you one more time because I don't think I hit the minimum 10 minutes run time for RU-vid to give me monetization options for my video."
Ouch thats harsh lol. I do try to explain things very well. Considering I've replied to a fair amount of comments that still had issues doing it right maybe I needed to explain it one more time even. That said. I do not monetize my channel. Never have. Probably never will. I actually spend hours trimming the original video down to what you saw here because I to hate it when people wont get to the point or make the video much longer than it needed to be.
Im sitting on 1.5 mill nanites atm :) Still I doubt they will nurf this in the foreseeable future as the ability to do it has been around for a very long time. I just refined it to be the most efficient it can be.
@@jojowildstar7773 you can do it with as little as the cheapest item Ares sells so you could do it with as little as like 60 or so. 500 just gets you going faster and as you gain nanites each time you can then buy more modules the next time around increasing your profits exponentially.
Yeah the anomaly bug is putting a wrench in everyone's dupe glitch huh, lol! Maybe this was intentional to stem the rampant glitching, until they patch it? Just a tip, registry editors on pc have always worked flawlessly for NMS.
@@chrisholland1556 Well that's what they use to be called they're probably called something else now lol, there is an old school one still around - check out: cheat engine . org - all one word. Basically its an application that you "attach" to (look at related resources in) a game and it allows you modify the data in the memory locations the game is using. And a lot easier than it sounds for things like unlimited items in a game. Any numerical value you can monitor and/or change(in game) can easily be targeted and you just enter the amount you would like to change it to, it gets more in depth with scripts and pointer handling to do more advanced things like god mode or infinite jet pack though its not too hard with some effort and there are a lot of tutorials on how to use and do specific things with one on youtube. Its more involved than the simple one button cheat apps you see everyone use (though they do the same thing) but it gives you total control and cheat engine is a lot safer than gambling with programs written by who knows for every game you want to "alter" lol.
Strange thing with me is i don't like performing tricks like this, i like the slow progression because if i can immediately get hundreds of thousands of nanites like this i'll already have a bunch of stuff that would've taken me forever to get essentially making me skip a part of the game which then leads to me becoming bored, I Really just like to hang out and go at my own pace
Yeah, I made a nanite farm base that uses a bunch of refiners and runaway mould. I get like 20k nanites every cycle (5-10ish minutes) plus I feel I accomplished something by creating the farm with resources I had to earn. I don't really understand why people think they need to do this method and get hundreds of thousands, it doesn't take that many nanites to get done what you want to get done
