I like to put a little grease/anti seize on the unit bearings before putting them back in. I pulled a unit bearing apart while taking it out while installing a locker. Now it comes out with ease.

Did you blow up the ring and pinion yet with those axle shaft? Or is that just a myth?

No outer dust seal on new axle? Against bearing hub? Not necessary On new ones? The old one has it,just wondering minute 4:26 you can see it on old axle at the vice

I have a 99 XJ with a dana 30 up front. I'd love to know your thoughts on 35" tires and original axles for the Rubicon trail. Do I need to swap to chrome moly, or a completely different front end?

I do not recommend. No support after purchase. I ordered the Extended Travel Ball joint for the Toyota Runner 2018 model a few months ago. Tried to install it, but it doesn't fit the car. The specifications on the box are correct so it seems like the wrong item was packed. I hope something can be done to correct it. I sent a few emails (along with pictures) but never received any response. Sadness.
