I really enjoy your videos. You put a lot of information into them without making it boring or too long. I just received my first 44 glove and even though it looks great and the craftsmanship is exceptional it’s just doesn’t feel as comfortable to the hand as my Rawlings or my Wilson’s. I even got the additional kip palm insert so I don’t know if that has anything to do with it or not. Did you experience the same thing or maybe it’s just me?
I’d say Wilson and Rawlings gene really have a more comfortable glove, but at the same time the more you break in your glove the more comfortable it’s going to get. 44 uses some pretty stiff leather so it takes some time to get it perfect
I have a 44 with the Kip palm liner and another with the regular sheepskin palm liner. The Kip liner is simply that, Kip leather, so it’s going to be more stiff and sturdy feeling. The sheepskin is a softer palm material and will feel better. The trade off is that the Kip liner should last longer and hold up better as it’s a better quality material. Comfort vs construction.
@@ballgloveking I ordered a 44 and I’m super excited for it to come in. But I have 1 more question does it sting if it hits the palm if they are trowing 65 max on a infield glove.
I chose Softball “men’s” for my last glove and the difference is in the pocket. If they know it’s for softball they can plan to give it a bigger pocket because the ball is so much bigger
@@ballgloveking did your softball glove run bigger than you expected? my softball ones definitely seem to run big while the baseball ones seem true to size
