You were one of the first artists I ever watched...a LONG time ago...in your original silicone days. The beginning of my painting.. It has been a fun journey.
Hi Karen Install a dimmer switch, and they have overhead filters for recessed lighting. There are also non-glare bulbs. My son is a contractor, and uses them for some of us clients.
Both paintings are gorgeous, I’m sorry I liked the second one better before the dots but it’s your artwork! And you talk all you want to care and I love to listen to you❤
I been watching your videos nonstop for about 6 months now. Artists are perfectionists and our own worst critic as you point out the areas you feel are imperfections in some little cells here and there...I only hope that someday I can achieve paintings as beautiful as you Karen!
I hope you did not take my comment as a criticism ...it is that just a very small detail could make a lot of difference in the overall result....I think you ladies do an amazing job at creating these works of art and I will continue watching 🙏💖
I understand your logic because it’s a less dramatic canvas (thin). I think it definitely stands on its own from the rest in your series yet is a member of the family.
Like the first one you did! LOVE the second one! Without the dots, it was just gorgeous and I could see them both as a set. With the dots, breaks the set but sure does look fine! Can't decide if I love it better before or after the dots, but I do love watching artists grow and stretch themselves with their art! That's what I enjoy most about this video! And love hearing your commentary so you just keep being you, Karen! I still love the piece I got from you! It's in my office where I can see and enjoy it every day!
These are just beautiful..I’m with you, I love that earthy terracotta that the nickel azo gives & the blues together, that indigo with waterfall are THE blue combo..Love!
Blue and orange girl here, too! Both are beautiful. If I had to pick a fsvorite it would be the first one. Not a fan of the dots but appreciate trying something different.🙂
Watching from Italy......this technique is totally new to me.....I am a traditional artist and I will try this technique as the results are so beautiful and not so time consuming like traditional paintings....your work is really outstanding.....bravissima 👏👏👏💖ps I have subscribed 😃
It’s gorgeous with dot work! 💖 Sometimes, we have to follow our whims! 😊 RE: lighting. We just went to a new Gallery in Toronto…it had huge skylights. I didn’t really see them because due to the glare problem, they put up fabric diffusers. I’ve seen this in malls as well…it reminds me of the way they shield swimming pools in Arizona. Triangles of slightly sheer fabric, anchored to the walls. Good luck! 😊💖✌🏼
Both paintings are beautiful. Though I definitely liked it better without the dots. Prior to the dots I liked the 2nd one the best. Those bold outlines were gorgeous!
Oh Karen this is so beautiful & you've inspired me to use this color combo, it's so stinking amazing!!! Love the dotting as well, very unique. I'm def gonna try the 50/50 ur using as well. It does have a different look to me. Thanks for all the inspo!!! 🤗🥰
Okay this color palette is gorgeous! And omg...I mix my pigments with behr and infinity...no varnish and love it so much better! Okay and I admit....I have QNAG ...and never have used it...maybe it's time to throw it in some clouds🤔 Gorgeous gorgeous piece, lady!
I am so glad I found your channel. Not only are you a great artist you have such a good time while pouring. You brighten my day! Thank you for sharing your journey
