I warn you guys for ever buying from CTS turbo. My downpipe did not seal properly against the turbo since the flange was warped during manufacturing. This is hard to detect and will cause o2 reading issues. Also one of the nuts was welded shut and did not fit. The downpipe flange itself is also much thinner than stock, which will cause less clamping force against the turbo. After I contacted CTS it turns out they are real scammers with no support. They don’t give a shit and don’t answere phone calls. I wish I would have read the reviews before buy. It seems a lot of people has issues with them, ended up costing me a lot of money and work. Never again….
Are you stock other than the MPPSK and the Catted downpipe? I'm trying to go catted possibly on my 440i MPPSK as well, but was wondering if it the burbles/gun shots difference is big enough for it be worth? From what I can hear on 0:52, when you let off your gas pedal, it did a BUNCH of burbles/pops. Is that due to the catted downpipe?
Yes, all stock except for what you mentioned. The burble is from BM3 tune, the actual MPPSK burble is more aggressive, I tuned it down because this is how I like it.
@@iamtrillahdfirst thing I did was tune my MPPSK 340i. The extra power was nice and going to be done ofc, but turning all the crackles off was literally the main reason. I don’t understand the appeal at all. Sounds so much better now with the only overrun being natural.
The important question nobody here is asking....how's the exhaust smell? The price is right, but if the cat isn't doing its job....you might as well just go off road.
Are you tuned at all? I currently have the MPPSK and I'm thinking about going BM3 stage 2, and was wondering if the burbles in your video are from the MPPSK tune or something else
I just installed a VRSF high flow downpipe on top of the MPPSK exhaust. There is a noticable rattling on startup coming from the front of the car. The shop that installed it checked all of the clamps and said that the rattling is normal, and just louder because of the high flow cats. I can kind of hear the same noise in your video, have you noticed this too?
@@TcheCaver I had the same crap when I first installed my, when I go over bumps I feel like my exhaust is hitting the belly pan. I brought it back to the shop and had them fix it, the rattling at start up was gone and the exhaust was not hitting the belly pan anymore.
Any drone in comfort mode? I just picked up a used ER catted downpipe from a mutual friend for a great deal(could honestly sell it for more than I bought it). Right now the drone in comfort with the MPPSK is minimal to non existent, I’m just worried about installing the downpipe and the car to start having a noticeable drone when cruising on the highway in comfort.
@@alvinmpower4985 ya tbh my gf just got a 840i and it also has the same b58 this car has and tbh it's just super quiet, i got her a muffler and resonator delete and it literally sounds like a m performance exhaust
@@timbittimbit8 all depend on you, if you looking to tune your car I say no, but if you want the sound experience you might want to look for a valved exhaust, makes your life a lot easier.
