Exhaust comparison between a Catless Downpipe from VRSF and a Catted Downpipe with a high flow cat from Evolution Racewerks. What do you think sounds better?
Catted! When dude said the 435 "sounds meatier" that was a perfect description. Can definitely tell exhaust is breathing better and the tone a bit throatier than stock... which for me is perfect, very subtle / fly under the radar. Appreciate you guys sharing... decision made!
100% i prefer the sound of a deeper engine plus you wont get that drone at highway speeds and doesnt have that rasp to it like a more free flowing exhaust would. looking at getting 328i f30 and seen alot of vids with muffler deletes and they sound alot better then a muffler and res delete. having the resonator still on takes away the drone and rasp and gives it abit deeper note form what ive seen irl and in videos
Great video! I appreciate the comparison! Honestly HFC will give a more refined sound, while catless will give you louder and more defined burbles! It’s just a matter of taste in sound IMO.
When you have straight pipe no cats or so exhaust sound gets a bit raspier. I’d go for high flow cats and resonated tips but that’s just me, both of em are pretty sick whips tho
New subscriber I think I will go wil the catted downpipe because I don't want any issues with emissions(even tho I currently live in an area that doesn't test for it) also, I'm not of fan of burbles.
I’ve had both 👇 Catless is raspy and tin can sounding also it will REEK of gas Catted is exactly what that one kid said more meaty and a better tone, just get a resonator/muffler delete and call it a day TRUST ME i have videos on my channel of both setups you decide
@@Ramosd23 the difference with a tune is minimal 10% at max I’ve had Catless and Catted they dynoed at 7% not much at all 470whp Catted 505 Catless not much
LOVEEEEEEE how the 435 sounds I currently have a 2015 335i F30 and I want this same down pipe, I currently have a Dinan stage 2 tune with an Eventuri intake, I’m considering getting this down pipe and a custom exhaust my question to you is can you link me the website to this downpipe? Another question is did you trigger a CEL? Please help, thank you
Do they both have the same exhausts and intakes? Otherwise you can't really do a downpipe comparison, since you're hearing everything. Either way, I'd be more concerned with dyno differences than sound 😊
Sounds good , it’s this just catted or catless upgrades with no others exhaust mods to get the pops ? ... looking to see if this possible in a base model 2018 540i base model not the M package in sport mode .. what are your thoughts?
C15 0001229684 heat soak is one thing definitely. Also once the turbine is going there is oil being fed through and letting it soak in their without properly draining can wear the bearing. It’s usually recommended to let the car idle for a little 1-3 minutes so that the oil drains out. Lots of factors these are just some of them.
@@samuelwalters6082 while you are correct, it is good to do so. These cars have an electric water pump and continue to cycle coolant after the car is shut off.
How can I remove the check engine light regarding the downpipe/custom exhuast fabrications? Is there a way to remove the codding ONLY for the exhuast part and not the check engine entirely? Is there a sensory cap I cam plug in to trick the system? (2018 BMW 230i F22) PLEASE HELP 🙏🏼🙈
through my experiences, exhaust modifications that do not pertain to the downpipe don’t cause a cel. although aftermarket dow pipes will throw a cel even with an o2 sensor spacer unless you are tuned to which you can turn off catalytic converter monitoring.
Hi after installing my downpipe to my bmw x5 e70 n55 is it normal to smoke a bit of blueish when reving the car . i didnt have that smoke with the stock downpipe 😢 what could be ?
Need help! Got a a4 b9 190hp currently deleted both resonators and sounds good but wanna make it sound meaner anything else I can do instead of spending bucks on a whole new exhaust?
You can get a valvetronic universal muffler ($300-700), when the valves are open, it’s like a muffler delete and when it’s closed, it’s just like normal

I havent heard the dinan axelback in person, but that sounds great. Ive heard their promo video for the g30 540i (which is what I have) and it sounds better than most of the other options out there.

Invest in a burble tune and remove your resonators, you will be the happiest men alive trust me. I have a 435i straight pipe all the way with burble... its dirty :')
It should, but it hasn't. Anytime I need to go to bmw for a problem ( ex:oil leak), I take the tune off, flash the car back to stock and take it in. But if you have a piggy back tune, they will find out you've tampered with the boost levels and void your warranty.
