Hey Mike I have this blower so let me give you some tips on starting. #1 you never need to start it before it is on your back, just set the choke and then put it on you back. Once you start it just tap the throttle and it takes the choke off. #2 Don't jerk the start cord, just slowly pull it and it will wind up and start. Every video on youtube on this blower shows people jerking the cord. I know it is how we are programmed but this one works MUCH better just slowly pulling until it releases and fires right up.

Mike, I've the BR-600 and love it, but for Xmas last year I asked for one of Stihl's new battery powered blowers for small jobs, like blowing out the garage and clearing the driveway and sidewalk after mowing. The thing is GREAT! you just grab it, pull the trigger and you're blowing out the garage. Very handy. Hope you get to demo one.

Waitttttt..... if my wife comes out right now.... I simply mouth "I can't hear you" and move on. I don't need some fancy handle that allows her to nag at me 🤣

I use my blower to get a burn pile burning like an inferno. My dog enjoys getting blown off and will stand in front of me when I am using it requesting that service. You can use one to blow off your car after you wash it to eliminate water spots. Once my dog crawled in a drainage culvert and wouldn't get out so I got my blower and blew some air in there. The dog came out immediately. You can even clean your house with one. Just open doors on opposite ends of the house, start at one end and work all the way thru. Gets rid of dirt, roaches and mice too. Just kidding about the house cleaning, I only do that when my wife is away for a couple days and I can get rid of the carbon monoxide smell.

I do that all the time with the fuel filling up our mower

I absolutely love mine and it doesn’t seem that heavy once it is on. The power of the blower really wants to twist your torso. Good ab workout.

It has a bit of a weird shape. In the thumbnail, I thought you were pouring drain cleaner into some kind of toilet. Looks like an easy unit to run though. Can't wait to get my hands on one to give it a tryout.

Did they get rid of the shitty crank bushing and finally go to a full needle or roller bearing. Many failures in the 600,s from that.

Those blowers with a valve train just don’t sound right to me.

I noticed you pouring Stihl gas in it? Does it not run on a gas/oil mix like my handheld Stihl BRG86C?

The real question is will it rip the turf clean out of the ground? Im hoping yes

Picked up the 800x recently, it’s also a powerhouse, along with the property, I’ve been using it to clean up our homes construction site every day. So much easier than broom and shovel!

I noticed no seat belt on that mower, I'd hate to hit something that would stop that forward speed I'd hate be thrown off in front ot the mower deck even with the safty features that are built into these mowers if you hit a pipe sticking up out of the ground those blades don't stop instantatianly, I know that mower mostly don't need ROPS but I want a seat belt it could save your life, I know you mostly know that lawn like the back of your hand. Yeah walker make great mowers you should say how much the go for talk about sticker shock I've only a few new mowers, I'll go for a 3 or 4 year ould commercial mower with low howers they are out there and they are built to last I own a 2006 Scag Wildcat with 52 deck with a chute block off to stop spraying gas clippings all over the street and the clown leavings them there

Can your blower, blow a brick across a driveway ? Mine can. But I like that one a lot better. Especially the way you crank it. Those straps look comfortable. When you been wearing the backpack for a while ,looks like less fatigue with yours. Yes , i will have to think about that. Thanks for showing!

Just bought a BR800 2 weeks ago (not the "c" model though). Wow is all I can say. Always thought these were just for commercial use and over kill for home but it is so handy around our small farm. It blows away those hand held blowers :-). Why I didn't buy this years ago I'll never know. I've used it to blow the water off the truck after washing but never thought about getting the dust out of the inside. Going to try that for sure.

Stihl is my Favorite.....I always pour some oil on every saw I fill right in the beginning...just to get it over with....it's going to happen anyway 🤣.....we could use that pull start feature to keep us going after a long work day!

I could sure use something like this. We don't have as many leaves fall in the fall season around here, it's in the spring (mainly oak and hickory).

I have never been a Stihl fan but that is a nice BP blower. Probably costs a pretty penny I would guess.

Great blower. I bought one a few months ago. I thought the recoil was broken the first time I pulled it. It pulls so easily

That br800 is a very nice unit and I love the side start so I bought one. The echo 8010 is a nice unit also and I love the fact that it puts out a little more power than the br800 so I bought the 8010 also. Now I have the 2 biggest backpack blowers on the market right now and only 1 back to put them on.

I wonder if they make a left handed one lol probably not?

Looks like Stihl has another winner on there hands. I have a 450 with electric start and it is great no cord pulling just hit a button.

If that is the first time you run that blower you really shouldn't pour that can fuel in it if not made to run through the equipment all the time or when it's new you need to get the inside condition with good mixed All Steel synthetic mix if you're running that can gas in there all the time it's going to burn it up you should only run it through the system maybe once a month go talk to your dealer about it they'll let you know
