In Eastern Region of the Britain's rail network on the East Coast Mainline we see Ian Riley's Black 5 44871 once again out on another Christmas trip called 'The Lincoln Christmas Express' going from London Kings Cross to Lincoln Central via Spalding and back via Newark North Gate.
Location taken on the ECML: Finsbury Park Goods Loop and platform 1, Arlesey, Bridge just outside Peterborough station and Grantham.
Later in the day went along the Nene Valley Railway to see another Black 5 45212 hauling the Santa Special with two different sets of Coaching stock and Class 45 45041 Royal Tank Regiment on the back.
Location Taken on the NVR: Orton Mere Foot Crossing and along the Footpath towards Peterborough Nene Valley.
