I hadn't watched the whole way through yet (I was maybe 15 mins in), so as I sat down to watch the whole way through I just had a notepad open on my computer to jot down the timestamps of when the perfumes were mentioned. It'll help me in the future as I go through Amouage's releases and want to know your thoughts on something (because I will surely forget otherwise).

I 'm devoted to the Opus VII and how brazingly untamed and fierce it is. Fierce and imposing without being ostentatious. I think it' s the most brazen scent I own, so emboldening. What an experience! You have to be open for something like that - unexpected, strangely harmonious and wild. This was a great edition of Love at First Scent, I wish you had more time to elaborate on some of the scents. And, as noted by others, you two are great together as a team, Mr. Renaud often more on the matter-of-fact side and Mr. Persolaise a bit more impressionistic.
This video was a treat. I stumbled upon 50% amouages this afternoon at a highend shop closing down. I couldn't believe it. I have all the secret garden collection along with sunshine woman already because they were more summer appropriate. And i have multiple on the wish list. So I snapped epic woman and reflection woman, I know both well. I was torn between Gold woman and Dia woman. I am not an aldehyde person, but I am finding a comfort in appreciating them more and more. As a Middle Eastern living in Australia, amouage really has a magnetic pull and a very grounding essence. Thank you for this!
Very nice moment watching both of you. So nice to see you two together again! Still love the dynamics between Renaud and you. It was funny to see how you got "drunk" smelling while Renaud stayed calm and stoic. ;-) Amouage scents are complex, rich and fascinating! Actually Reflection Man was the 1st I smelled of the brand and I quite liked it at the time. Memoir as well, it drew me in and felt like a magic potion to me. My fav Amouages: Epic Woman (an almost signature scent, absolute favorite), Ubar, Jubilation25, Lyric Woman, Opus IV, Sunshine Woman and Material. Although I must say that Material is not a vanilla to me. More of a very balsamic, resinous tonka-benzoin scent. It will be a pleasure to wear this Autumn! Hmmm...new scents! Exciting news. But a bit difficult to smell them in Paris. When does Amouage intend to open a boutique in Paris?
From all my perfums my daughter only like six and three are from Amouage her favorite is Journey Woman every time I used it she complements my she say that smell like vacation. The other is Sunshine and now she tell me that Honor 43 is beautiful. She is fourteen years old

Wooh, what a journey, man! I sat down to watch a third of this video and got up over an hour later. I have the same shirt as Renaud haha! (I like yours more though). Also, I don't think this was addressed, but why was Sunshine sequestered from the boxed congregation? What gives? It's one of my favourites (along with Epic "Man", Gold "Woman", and Honour "Man") 😭

Hi Persolaise. When you tried the sample for "Journey Man" during this video, did it seem like it had been reformulated? Also, which ones seemed to be the most obviously reformulated, and was "Journey Man" one of them? I'm sorry to take your time with this.
How has RU-vid kept this video from me all this while? I found your reaction to Guidance quite funny. My reaction at first sniff was disorientation after having smelled all the spicy, resinous, floral Amouages. I assumed my nose had gone blind and called my daughter over to ask “what even IS this, has it gone bad?”. I’ve never been a fan of pear note in perfumes which “G” has and the hazelnut comes at you without warning. I put it away and was convinced fragrance influencers hyping it had gone nutty. Once I realized it was the fragrance that was nutty, I learned to appreciate it, albeit, over several tries. It was the same way for me with the saffron in BR540. It took me a while. I still haven’t gotten to the point of liking Delina. It smells like a bag of chemicals to me. This is why I’ve been sticking to classic Amouages and Guerlains which have never failed to please at first sniff. I wish the Guidance bottle was signaling what’s inside a little better because pink doesn’t make me think of pear, hazelnut, incense, cassis, or woods which is what I get most from the perfume with the pink florals really only operating in background.

I have just tried overture w on my skin a few days ago. It somehow reminded me of XS black by Paco Rabanne. It smelled very beautiful and sensual in the beginning but it dried down miserably like oxidized fat on my skin unfortunately.
I very much enjoyed watching this video in the current downtime. I'm playing catch-up. I own a bottle of Journey Man so I'm going to be biased to liking it - dark it may be but it's actually a joy to wear in the heat of the summer. My favourite Amouage is not in this set, but I'm beyond pleased to note that it's back in production: Silver Man!
Wow, this video really has made want to purchase that magnificent gift box, shame the Amouage website doesn't ship to Spain. Will have to find an alternative way.
47:31 - eh, still don't understand why they stopped producing Opus VI. I always thought of it as a bestseller among the Opus line. Fortunately I have secured one bottle and I am thinking of buying another as a backup. Hope they'll change their mind! Besides that I am a great Amouage fan - I have Opus VI, Epic Man, Jubilation Man, Journey Man and Interlude Man from the very first year of production - 2012 :)
After listening to you I am going to try to buy honor 43 probably my husband have a different opinion. Because the only option that is important for me about my perfums is the one my husband gives
My husband give this for my birthday I was so happy a big surprise because is not easy to fine this in México, I can say I am in love is so perfect. A difrence between the Honor and this Honor 43. And the best part and the biggest surprised is that my children like it. I love the green, the with flowers and the creamy I am so happy for this one I can say is a 10/10 right now the weather is so hot and humid that I am enjoying this beauty smell like heaven 🤍
Wonderful video but I don't envy you pushing through 45 fragrances in such a short time. Amouage is a brand that when they hit the spot they really hit the spot. I own only 2 but enjoy them both very much,, Sunshine and beach Hut. I really want to smell Royal Tobacco as i am becoming quite a fan of tobacco. I also want to get my nose on Jubilation as I like the idea of a regal perfume. Anyway, great video.. 😁
Something is happening with amouage and my skin I have Journey, Lyric, Honor they turn in skin sent in a few hour but Sunshine dos not las even two hours and I love them all but I'm struggling with that. My husband dos bot say much about my perfums but I remember when I used Honor for the first time he say that smell stunning, I can appreciate the quality of the ingredients, the flowers, smells like a millioner, travel, knowledge, culture Lady but not for know you need a few years for that one like other twenty ( I am fifty years) but really is a beautiful perfum😂😂 is the first time in twenty four years he say something like that
Just bought a new bottle of Jubilation25 man. What a huge disappointment. I compared my old and new side by side. The reformulation has made a masterpiece into an average fragrance. The new version is «thinner», less complex and lack depth. It appears more synthetic. I first heard about the dramatic change of Jubilation (and Epic) at Les Oderants podcast. I thought it couldn’t be that bad and ordered a bottle. I should have listened. Amouage has long been a favourite, that’s probably why I got so disappointed. I asked Amouage about this, but no reply (surprise). Brands should be transparent if they sell another product in the same bottles.
@@Persolaise changes may be inevitable if it is IFRA related or issues related to sourcing. However, this new version smells cheaper and more synthetic. The old juice leave the skin oily, the new juice doesn’t. Less oil content? It is sad that such good fragrances are destroyed, but more sad is that Amouage isn’t transparent. They should inform customer about they’re selling another product under the same name. Dior, for instance, name their reformulation after year (Dior homme sport 2012, 2015 etc). This should be an obvious ethical practice. As I said, I’ve heard about the significant change in Jub25 and Epic at the Les oderants podcast. I should have listened. I come to know that Amouage reformulation issues, in particular Jubilation, are a common understaning in «fragcomm». I love your channel btw and this video was great. I just received my new jubilation so I guess I am a bit provoked 😄 It is important to tell the world about reformulations, because most brands do not.
@@illiona3289 I do perfumery every day for 5 hours and I'm the kind of person who loves smelling different scents and it takes alot to give me a headache. And I want to save up for that set for the new ones but also want a full bottle of Reflection 45 😬 going crazy here 😜
