Welcome to day 27 of the 30 Day Improvers Yoga Challenge. Today's 45 min full body yoga flow includes a recap of the peak poses and sequences from the last week of the yoga challenge.
In today's class we will revisit 8-Angle (Astavakrasana), Handstand (Monkey jumps) and Pigeon pose progressions, along with the sequences that we have been practicing. This is an opportunity to go over what we have covered, familiarise yourself with the poses and hopefully surprise yourself with what you are capable of.

Yeah even if it drives you NUTS I’d definitely try it a few times a week while you’re still warm. Like pause the video try the grasshopper. Then play and keep going. Idk if you are still warm or have patience after svasina but, I do poses that I’m working on if the one I’m doing that day is similar to the type of pose I have been trying to do. Especially if my balance is really good that day! I am an absolute mess with standing balances but anything that is on my hands… no problem!

Wow! This challenge has me surprising myself each day. The first couple of days I was downhearted feeling maybe I wasn’t ready for this. But encouraged by others here and our teacher I continued and today I did almost every pose and felt real progress ❤❤❤❤

Not going to lie...at day 27 a 45min flow sounded a bit intimidating but it didn't feel like that at all. Really enjoyable.

I can’t stop thanking u for this journey… I remember how scared, frustrated, and intimidated I was on my day 1 and 2… how disappointed I was with myself for not being able to do the crow (won’t lie I still can’t do it 😂 I guess it’s the goal for my future challenges).. right now I hv so much peace and acceptance in me… long 45 min sessions still scary me a bit (can I do it, do I hv enough energy in the morning to do 45 min, will i be emotionally strong enough to face that many advanced poses and so on), but today’s flow was indeed fantastic… learning is not the destination or perfection, it’s the journey itself… so thank u for the journey of strength, possibilities, discoveries, and understanding of ourselves ❤❤❤ hv a blissful day, everyone!

Day 27 : ✅ After 27 days of yoga challenge, I feel my body so much more confortable in the morning during the first minutes of yoga, it feels good !

I am absolutely relaxed and happy after Day 27. Haven't missed a day! And have never fully done any other challenge or programme as written down without tweaking it before. But these flows are so perfect and well-thought-out that it has been best just to trust the teacher and follow her every day. And i feel like a new human.

I don't know why, but this morning I just didn't have the right energy. I found myself getting frustrated because I couldn't get to or hold poses I know I've had success with before. Yoga starts first in the mind and spirit, and now I know where I need to work today. Thank you, Charlie.

That’s very true. When I started doing yoga. I committed to everyday for a year. And I did that- but I was bigger than I’d ever been I’ve always done excercise evryday less the 4 years before this ……. If I didn’t get a pose I’d gotten before I’d sit and cry like what is wrong with me?! It’s been a year and 3 months and some days I fall out of every standing pose. Those are my issue. I hope you have ease with really processing why you didn’t have the right energy. Cuz you didn’t. And that’s cool. Maybe tomorrow. Or not! But you did yoga and in yoga that’s what matters. Like breathing, if you breathe you are breathing. Sounds dumb but true

That was awesome! I love the poem. I'm camping at a reservoir and doing my yoga on a beach. I literally was looking at the half moon when I was doing my half moon pose.. thank you I love you Charlie❤❤❤

Absolutely amazing recap! Perfectly paced and sequenced to allow us time to absorb each challenge. Every balance and twist felt exhilarating and that new - for me - Baby Grasshopper is such fun! I also enjoyed the transition to astavakrasana from firelog. Charlie, you’re an incredible human being for doing all this for us. Thank you😊

Thank you so much Charlie! I love that tricky transition from revolved half moon up to revolved big toe pose and back! I laughed so hard wobbling and falling out on one side and then felt very accomplished that I not-so-gracefully but still managed to not fall on my stronger side. This challenge has been wonderful, thank you!

Hey Charlie, its only been 27 days, but i feel completely new. Before this challenge the only arm balance that i could do was crow. I surprised myself so much with eight angle, side crow, epk and other poses! I began to enjoy arm balances the most in yoga and now i cant imagine my practice without them. But thats not really important, what changed is that the love of the practice increased, and now it is just normal to do it daily, soon there will be 150 days of daily yoga, and i am planning to keep going with your challenges for the rest of the summer. Theres still so much to learn, but i have faith that all of us are on the right path. Thank you 🩷

The explanation for double pigeon before going into eight angle pose was helpful. It just felt good and knowing the rationale for it just made it even better. Twisted pigeon was so nice.

I’m really not a fan of getting into baby grasshopper that way- I don’t have my foot on the ground in the right spot or my hand, when I sit forward I need to adjust. I love when we go into it from standing splits then sugar cane I believe?? It ends up with the perfect alignment for me 20:23

Hi Charlie, I particularly love this practice and keep returning to as it - the grasshopper and the other pose (at 27:14) are not part of the other classes. They challenge my restless adhd mind and rejuvenate my hips that are forced to stay seated so much, so long. Congrats and love from a 54-yr old Hungarian Shakespeare scholar.❤

Thank you! Must revisit this practice, when I am off antibiotics again, as I was not giving it all the strength it needed. But even so I saw quite a bit of progress ( not so much with baby grasshopper or 8 angles, alas, but some other poses and transitions, which I was struggling with couple of days/weeks ago became achievable or smoother. And my lover back just loves that twisted pigeon. When I did it yesterday, I felt rather ominous crack on one side, but it was obviously a healing crack, as the pain I was struggling with for months is suddenly GONE!🎉 Thank you, Charlie, you are the best!❤🌹🍀

The mermaid variation, grasshopper and the 8 angle became my favs over the course of the challenge. The weight play is insane, really makes you reconsider your approach to your entire life: as soon as you focus on finding the balance, and putting weight into the right support points, the pose clicks, the weight shifts, it comes together, you start feeling the tension from your entire body shed and turn into strength at the core of your being... hope it makes sense lol anyways as always, thank you, Charlie, for another profound experience of a practice🐙

That was amazing. The first time with baby grasshopper i was like Hah, ya thats stupid and never gonna happen But guess what happened today?! A baby was born!🦗 And dare I say, it was somewhat... easy? Never would have happened without this excellent guidance ❤

Thanks, Charlie. Gratitude and a question. I am almost at the end of this challenge, scoring multiple injuries (not yoga-related) along the way and long travels that disrupted the challenge timeline. But I stuck through anyway and saw real improvement through this challenge. I wanted to ask you though: every time I attempt to fold my back knee in a low lunge (even a small amount), I find my hamstring cramping. Is there a reason and is there something I can do to mitigate it? Please help!

Thank you Charlie❤This class felt like meditation.. And that last quote was unexpected but extremely beautiful and relaxing.. And you know last day I was tangled with my body doing baby grass hopper and angle pose but today I did the baby grasshopper and also I don't know how but I some how managed to do angle pose in my right side... Was unable to lift myself in left side but you know, you know I did it right side and it really amazed me... Like wow..can I call it that I'm improving and I didn't forced my body in this practice and enjoyed each and every challenging and relaxing poses.... I can't thank you enough.. ❤❤loads of love and appreciation Charlie

I felt also resistance to 45 min recap on a saturday for me but passed away quickely. I did mermaid for sitting swan or pigeon on the left but not on the right side. And also one bind in skanasana. But I am happy with it and loved the poem so very I AM. Thx 🐒❤😍

That practice flew by! A wonderful strong practice. The day I get my leg over my shoulder will be an epic day lol! But I am truly loving the process. 😊
