I like those things Ryno is telling Glenn before he rides , very precious ! Somebody should write it down and make an audio, best motivation EVER ! Keep it going #teamglennrynopower
Hi Hoff from NZ, I remember first seeing you ride at a WESS event a few years back and being blown away. If ever you get down in NZ check out Patetonga, Harrisville and Taupo tracks.
You said you are normaly in 2nd and 3rd gear on that track, but this day you stayed in 3rd. Does shifting takes too much time? Clutch control is important to keep the engine speed high to accelerate the turns as fast as possible. Is that right?
It's a sand track. High RPM's in those conditions are only going to give you wheel spin, not speed. If he's pulling a higher gear it also means he's getting faster. But you knew that.
I am a total beginner in this sport but I learned very much on youtube how pro's are riding. Cornering, jumps, whips, scrubs, whoops,..... But even on Gopro fotage I can't see how and when they are using the clutch, frontbrake, rearbrake and throttle. That was my question how and why is Glenn Goldenhoff using the clutch in corners. And I can say how he should ride. He should ride very fast and very good, cause I wanna see him winning races!!
I imagine it's almost irritating getting a new trainer and having to start over as if you're not already one of the world's most elite athletes. But the again, that is the focus and discipline it takes to continue to grow
Look as far ahead as possible. It slows the track down so you can carry more speed into corners. If that makes sense. I had a bad habit of staring down just in front of my front fender and it caused me to have to use quicker reaction time. The more I looked ahead at what was coming my lap times got faster.
I always find it funny how motocross sponsors spend millions to have their logos on bikes and gear, yet they almost become invisible when the rider is on the track.
Yeah but with all the media like this millions see the logos. Only about 1/1000th are there in person or watching live compared to media like this. This is just one video and it has lots and lots of eyeballs
