In my eyes he already is. Romero clearly won his second fight with Whittaker. Sure Whittaker has more strikes, but Romero almost killed Whittaker in the final rounds. And Romero should’ve won the fight against Izzy as well. That was a boring fight but all Izzy did was leg kicking and running. UFC just couldn’t let a 43 year old guy win the title shot.
@@bakihanma7247 bro if you had any other handle I would absolutely go in on you. But given what it is. I’ll humbly agree to disagree. You are wrong but I will not argue with you of all people about recovery time. You son of a bitch!
@@Grand.Poobah warrior mentality is always good to be shown from the fighter, they should never throw in the towel no matter what, a fighters corner on the other hand, should throw in the towel when their boy is taking brain damage
@@TTime685 so is mine, I was born like that. It’s called klippel fiel syndrome. Every 3rd or 4th disc in my entire spine is fused to the next. And it’s fused to the base of my skull. I look normal so nobody believes me because normally people look deformed. It hurts like hell and the only way to fix it is if they break apart my spine. Edit - oh my point is that I have a pencil neck but I do have abnormally large traps.
@@hamza001_9 he definitely got robbed in one of the Robert Whitaker fights and didn't he loose to Paulo Costa I pretty sure that was a fight he won but judges went the other way if I remember correctly
@@landonscott2558 he gets better because he's a student of the game and a master of his craft. Notice that he doesn't allow his opponent to dictate the pace or direction of the fight. He's always in control and his wrestling background has provided him a stable base to conserve energy. He fights like you'd play a fighting video game. He understands how to utilize his knees and elbows alongside distracting his opponent with hand motions before landing powerful strikes. I can almost guarantee he mixes his wrestling hand fighting style into the way he strikes. The older he is, the wiser he gets in terms of fighting. He's trying to find the upper limit of his potential, regardless of age. He already broke his neck so what is there to lose?
@@WilliamsWrestlin dude I completely agree. Yoel is a savage. I'm 32 and I'm an amateur...this dude truly is immortal in the cage. That's what happens when you're a God fearing man and you believe in something greater than yourself. Yoel is definitely the toughest dude on Earth in their 40s.
The cubans made this man in a lab. This is what a superhuman looks like. Dude is literally built different reminds me of the story Joe Rogan told about when he went to the doctors.
When they scoop behind his eye and doctors asked Dana where did you find this guy ?? His eye 👁 stem is 3 times the normal size of the average human Or something along those lines ??!?
Can't help but feel like Yoel didn't even reach his full potential. Not the best technically, doesn't use his wrestling enough despite him having one of the most decorated wrestling backgrounds in the sport etc. And even if he was juicing, him being like this at his age is impressive regardless
Yoel has crazy genetics, like a real mutant, has 4x larger tendon then average human, and has some "healing" a bit stronger too, like the time he got a fracture in his orbital bone, his damage already was starting to healing
Someone definitely wanted Yoel's opponent dead, this fight should been stopped multiple times and it looked like he already had a broken nose taking a beating.
In one of his fights, he ate a clean leg kick in the face (same as Kamaru got from Edwards), but unlike Kamaru, he didn't fall and continued to fight like it was nothing. If that is not badass, I don't know what it is.
Usman was caught clean and Leon Edwards put all his hopes, energy and frustrations on that kick. 99.9% of people in the world would not survive that kick without shutting down.
@@Ignas3runner I don't assume anything until you got proof. He has been a high degree athlete all his life. That's why he won a Silver medal in the Olympics.
So glad to Romero doing his thing again. He should've been one of the best. Shout out to Polizzi for going the distance in this fight and lasting 3 rounds.
That's a different breed of beasts. According to Joey Diaz in one of Rogan's podcasts that Romero is "Ogun" the God of steel in Cuban/African mythology and when i googled the name "Ogun" it was almost Romero in pics i found for Ogun. He wasn't kidding. 🤣
Because izzy is counterstriker if u do one little mistake he will kill u and yoel is smart and he knows it well so he waited for Izzy to strike first . So they both ended staring each other
If you ask me who is the baddas old man alive ?. The answer For real its him, yoel is such amazing and baddas old man alive dude @_@. The soldier of god not just a nickname for him but its him self.
Old man? Bro I'm 46 but always stayed in shape and can still do everything i did when i was 30 no B'S. Keep moving and live healthy. Had some kids tell me i couldn't do b ack flips
@@mikefitzpatrick43 Yeah but you’re not a 45 year old Cuban who did Olympic wrestling, won a gold medal and then had a pretty successful MMA career in the UFC and is still fighting. People are usually done fighting in cages by his age. MMA careers don’t tend to go into the 40+ territories unless you’re a heavyweight
@@jsar5409 neither would I. But you can see that some folks arent "doping forbidden", others are. They gain muscle with years of doping, and than someome talks: "his genetics". Just to compare: Fabrício werdum and Francis. Who took more juice? And why? Thats my point here. Dan henderson and Belfort on his last fights.... or Silva on last fights.. and St Pierre and others always with the same shape and sometimes with gyno. You see...theres a history that Belfort was at the event and told: I do TRT. And my testosterone go beyond the sky. They Said: no problem Man, keep giving us a show. Not everyone was doped that time. Bisping Lost an eye.... Nowadays, lots of fighter are doped. And that happened AFTER usada came. Compare Machida era and now. The body mass and endurance. You Will Just notice a uniche problem: the transition of usada. Lots of athletes retired. Then, usada seems to close eyes and everyone is juicing. Thats all a show....Jones with cocaine.... Arrested multiple times... And still Can fight but does not wanna to. All same bullshit. Not a sport. Just a gambling show.
