That's a cool little device you got there. I think it is nice that you are using the blocks, yeah seems like it is cheaper and easier to transplant when the time comes. I also like your flannel

Thank you! Yeah I live in my flannel in cool weather, if you look close enough you'll see how much the goats liked it too lol took out a nice chunk one day

I love not having to mess with seed trays so it's a win for us, and the goats always steal the show, just you wait and see how yours takes over the channel lol

I don't know why, but when I saw you post this video on the Stoney Ridge Farmer group I thought it was a commercial for the soil block maker. 🙄 Instead I found a great channel to follow.

I have been using soil blocks for several years now. They are a little time consuming to make, but well worth the effort. I have the 20 micro block maker, the four block and the five block maker and the large one block maker so far, but I plan on getting one of the block makers that makes a lot more blocks at once. I believe they come in a 12, 20 and 35 block maker. It will make the process so much faster! I have always heard that you can't transplant carrots because it will cause them to be deformed, but I tried a few carrots last year by soil blocks and they came out pretty good! I'm going to try doing a lot more of them this year! I hope they come out as good or better this year! Did your back hurt any after making all those block? lol I know mine does when I make that many!

Yes! That's why I pulled up a bucket to finish the rest, all that stooping over did not feel good lol and love all the sizes you use and so interesting on the carrots! I think they should transplant just fine if moved early enough. Are you trying any new fruits or veggies this year?

@@rspryngfarmcountry4487 I may try to grow a luffa, and I may order an elderberry bush. This year I am going to try to store as much as possible! I am going to learn how to can!
