Great podcast and definitely LDS approved.😂👏VISION, DESIRE and MEANS definitely gets it down to the basics. In my faith as probably in most, staying on the road to discipleship requires my dedication daily and, like you, I sometimes get off track and must “recalculate” as my GPS calls it … also know as repentance. But when I do I find my vision definitely improves and hopefully my desire as well. I once had someone describe the church as the “scaffolding” that supports its member’s journey toward true discipleship. I guess that might also be considered part of my MEANS. In any event it plays a major role in my daily life and support group along with all the other things you mentioned. I really liked how you explained the importance of becoming aware of our intentions. For me, in my faith the temple plays a major part on my discipleship journey, for this is where I go to temporarily escape outside influences and practice or IOW recommit spirituality to my covenants while bringing back to my remembrance what it feels like to be a true daughter of my Heavenly Father. As for intentions, for me it comes in the form of a small card I carry with me at all times as a reminder of my commitment/intentions and is known as a temple recommend. It’s something I must renew every two years which requires me to re-evaluate where I am and to recommit to my covenant journey.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! I'm glad the episode resonated with you. While I come from a different faith tradition, I truly appreciate how you've connected these concepts to your own spiritual journey. I love how you described the church as "scaffolding" that supports your journey toward true discipleship-what a powerful metaphor. It’s inspiring to hear how you use your temple recommend as a reminder of your intentions and commitment. Re-evaluating and recommitting every two years sounds like a meaningful way to stay on track. I appreciate you sharing how these concepts play a role in your faith journey. Thanks for listening and for your encouraging words!
My first day back at the gym, I'm listening to your podcast 💪 oh the guilt I feel, my daughter (15 months old) is NOT happy with mama dropping her off at the gym daycare 😅 saying some prayers 🙏
I’m so glad you chose to listen to the podcast on your first day back at the gym! 💪 I know it’s tough when little ones aren’t thrilled about changes in routine, but you’re setting a great example for your daughter by taking care of your health. Those prayers will definitely help, and I’m sure she’ll adjust with time. Keep up the great work-you’re doing an amazing job, both as a mom and on your fitness journey! 🙏😊
@@mike.tobias when I got back to the daycare that day, after my workout, she was surrounded by 3 little girls of varying age, all doting on her. Solana (my daughter) was sat on the woman's lap who was minding the children. Solana had a stuffed animal in each hand, and her binky in her mouth. She was quite comfortable and content at that point 😂 from then on, now she is less anxious at the daycare 🙏✨ Thanks for the kind words and encouragement, Mike! God bless you 🙏
