Lord have mercy!! Thats a besutiful Scout!! I wish i could afford to fix mine up with a bigger engine, disc brakes, move my gas tank to a different location, etc. Thats just beautiful guys!!
All International Scouts should be LS/ GM Crate engine free. I had a 1974 Scout II with a AMC 258 Inline Thrifty 6. I had a 4 barrel Holley on top of an Offenhauser manifold with drilled chamber Flowmaster an DUI distributor. That Beast ran like a V8.
Jeff, are you making a steering column and or brackets specifically available from the aftermarket for Scout 80/800's? I am also curious about the toolboxes in back if you have them available online? Those extended leafs really show a much softer flex than the Skyjackers. I noticed a little sway bar in the back, too help with the tons of power. What a ride!
Our parts department should be able to sell you the same column we use in our builds. i would reach out to them via email or phone. The tool boxes are welded into the body so not a separate item that could be sold.
Our shop has been building them here and there but not sure if we are quite ready to offer them as a regular stocked item. If you want one made give our shop a call and talk with Darren.
