Exciting! Yes they are open to haggling, but expect you to pay what is reasonable for the quality of handmade rug you are buying! It packed up small enough to fit in our suitcase and was about 2x1m
Can I ask if there was anywhere major closed or any streets shut off following the earthquake? We are going at the end of Jan and just wondering if you need to allow any extra time for getting anywhere due to any rebuilding, or anything else to know..
Hey! The damage in Marrakech was very limited in comparison to the Atlas Mountains region, which was badly hit. Our trip wasn't impacted at all, except for the roof terrace of our Riad being damaged. No tourist attractions were closed. We saw a bit of rubble down side streets, but that's about it. Would strongly encourage you to go!
I've just come back from Marrakesh,, and I don't think you've given a true reflection of the medina. You haven't shown the poor animals chained up, the ladies grabbing you to have henna applied. THE bicycles driving through the lanes
Wauw what a beautiful and educational video. I didn't know the story behind the name Marrakech and Mosque Koutoubia, thx for sharing! Keep going, I gotta watch your other videos now
Great video! I've been considering going to Marrakech in July (probably the worst time because it's hotter), and it looks beautiful! Edit: 18:31 I've heard they do something similar in Thailand because they wanna take you somewhere else for money, so the best thing to do is ignore them.
