A lot of you were asking how to go about making your own multitool mods - here are some thoughts for you - maybe you could make your own? Just make sure you use any tools safely and wear the appropriate protective clothing :-)
Remember: only pick locks that are yours and that are not in use! Keep locksport legal!

My current concept (on paper only so far) uses an internally threaded tube to hold everything, but no pliers. The smaller tube inside tube has a split-wedge threaded insert to hold the picks, and it becomes the handle. sort of like a flag pick handle. The case is almost all velcro, and unrolls to provide a pinning mat. Yes, yes,... it is not really off the shelf, and does require some threading tools, and some machinist experience, but it still looks like fun to make. hmmm, pliers. I wonder I f I could convert medium duty hemostats to a more pliary thingy...

I found that very inspirational and informative, I'm sure I've got one of those multitool pliers sitting around in a cupboard somewhere, going to dig it out and see if I can convert it so I can add it to my picks toolbox, Cheers ;-)

When I was a kid , teenager to be precise , I used to grab some medical tools to use them for probes. Scalpels that are blunt to the point of no use are great probes , strong enough to be shoved in tightest keyways and , due to nature of such steel , they can bend and return to their natural shape , scalpel was one of "tools" that I found to be "ready to use out of box" , they are thinner than 0.5mm usually , strong enough to not bend (permanently) , wont shatter , etc. However , I found a very bad thing about them - they also damage locks , and , when You see "golden sand" coming out of keyway , You know that You are also cutting the lock too , and , therefore , not useful a lot. That was my not very smart way of trying to pick locks much before I actually picked any of pin tumbler locks , as those are razor sharp even if they are blunt for surgery. I think they can be purchased not quite cheap compared to picks , but cheap in their cathegory on the internet easily , but , I think , they're not friendly for machining. :) My two cents here. :) 🔑🔒🔓🍻

NP. :) BTW , Your tool has some extra space and , probably options aswell. :) Followers can be turned into pick handles , pouch can store door shims , in a form like credit card , one of the followers can "add" pin shoe space , which can be also utilized as shim handle etcetera. This tool can be made into "most tactical" tool than ever , got few ideas (and inspiration) from MadBob Ghost Pro toolkit. :)

Yeah ash truck wiper blades for the win 😁😁 I made a post on one of the Aussie f.b Lockport groups about using these ones a while ago and a few of the members went out and grabbed themselves a lot of pretty good pick material from the local wreckers and were very greatful for the tip 😉🔓. And lastly thanks heaps for the instructions on how to make our own re-key multi-tool you're absolute legend, very creative and you're also very good at teaching your peers ☺☺🔒🔓☺☺

That is awesome pal, really great ideas with stuff that’s readily available! I am actually trying a bit of a home brew kit with a few folding sets of feelers, filling it out with 0.4-0.6mm and maybe fire some TOK in somehow. It has a similar screw to the one you use on the multi tool too 😁

I think the perfect multitool to mod is a leatherman wave it has external tools and a good set of pliers. The tools lock open on both sides it's small comes with a case and is easy to disassemble only negative is it's about 45 50£

I have a question for mr noob or anyone else, im a locksmith and came across a big bucket of old mortis cylinders with "BLACO" stamped on it but cant find anything on it when i looked it up. I also have probably 15 kick cylinders with the same key way which is pretty open and fun to pick. Any info would be great 😊 love ya noob!
@LockNoob
@LockNoob 5 лет назад
I couldn’t find any info, but this link shows that Blaco are some lock brand - most likely some really cheap stuff I’d imagine picclick.com/Huge-Furniture-Padlock-Some-New-NOS-Lock-Key-302879869798.html
@stratsteveo106
@stratsteveo106 5 лет назад
@@LockNoob thanks for getting back to me. I made a mistake when i wrote that because i only have one BLACO mortis cylinder, the other kick cylinders i have are one of the yale key ways that are 6 pin. Your definitely right about BLACO being cheap its just weird that i got this random assortment from an embassy i was working at.

Question..... how do i correctly mark the circlip remover (dose it have to be to exact mesurments or shal i just mark arround the rear of tge cylinder?) ..... pretty nice idea dude looks the bomb too i struggle to get such a good shine on my pick tips... keep up the good content
@LockNoob
@LockNoob 4 года назад
I can’t remember how I measured this, but I think it’s a little bigger than the circlip groove on the back of the cylinder; try using a stiff plastic template maybe?

Not sure if this is visible outside Australia - www.ebay.com.au/itm/POCKET-DRILL-SET-12-PIECES-52-1-6mm/151602731782 I think this could be modified into a picking tool and I like the idea of using a drill chuck to hold a pick. The storage for drill bits might be able to hold picks. Not sure without examining one but this one is too pricey and I haven't found any others.

I like the idea - I had the same ide but with a collected knife set that the handles stored in the handle :-j

Yes, I'd been hunting around for a few things to try out. The drill chuck appeals to me because it means no grub screws. Unfortunately, it will also require custom picks.
