I think the Cobalt Sword is ment to be a Chokutō, a Japanese sword similar to the Katana, but the main difference is the Chokutō has a straight blade rather than the Katanas curved blade.

If you put a screenshot of the effects of the color change potion into a program that deduces the HTML color code, it'll tell you that the darkest part of the "red" effect is around #FEBBE0. If you google that code to view the color in isolation, you can see that it's clearly nowhere near red, but a relatively light shade of pink. I'm not normally one to nitpick, but, like, that's clearly not red.

A very interesting but not useless fact: the orichalcum petals that spawn when a mob,boss or target dummy is hit can actually damage npcs I accidentally discovered that when I was playing on my expert mode mage run

the slowest projectile in the game is actually the grey/orange zapinators shot after hitting an enemy and getting projectile slow as its random attribute.

In German, item prefixes are suffixes instead, and are in parenthesis. This is because in German, adjectives have different endings depending on the grammatical gender of the noun they refer to and what case it’s being used in. This could be implemented into the item names, but it would require specific code to modify the prefix text depending on the weapon it is applied to. (Example: Dämonischer, Dämonisches, Dämonische all mean Demonic)

Another something I found is that canonically speaking,Guide is the strongest NPC as he is supposed to be the human version of the Wall of Flesh, which is the strongest boss to have a human version, the next is clothier with skeletron.

More useless information: You cannot actuate or replace the blocks underneath the hellforge. Found this out the hard way when I skipped EoW and beat Skeletron for early dungeon.

Wanna hear some crazy Terraria headcannon? Slimes don't drop slime, they drop gel, because slime isn't what they are made off, it's their last name. The King Slime is, of course, the lord of all things slimy and the Queen Slime is the sovereign of everything that jiggles, this means that there are some things that are slimy but don't jiggle and some things that jiggle but aren't slimy. Now, if that's the case, why isn't her name "Queen Jiggle" or "Queen Gellatin"? Well, it's really simple... That IS her name, but since she married King Slime, she adopted his last name, become Queen Slime. Now, what does this have to do with the regular slimes? Well, these are clearly the spawns of the King and Queen, and they all share the same last name despite being made out of GEL, their name is based on their color or other characteristics, for example a Blue Slime has "Blue" as a name and "Slime" as a last name, but they drop Gel, because thats the substance that is created when you mix Slime and Gallatin, a substance that is both slimy and jiggly, allowing them both to reign over them. However, there are some spawns that are considered as mistakes, ones that don't even get a name, like the Toxic Sludge, a strange malformation that is neither slimy (it's if anything sludgy) and isn't jiggly (due to being too liquid-y), so the King and Queen don't see it as their children and didn't even give it a proper name, stripping it from the royal last name of "Slime". And that is why Slimes drop gel.

How and why would silk and slush blocks be able to give platinum coins, that is the most useless (because of the chance) but also kinda the coolest fact to me.

The main reason why amethyst and topaz hooks look the same is most likely because they both come from quartz. Their unique difference between each other is their color, which is based on what they react with and how they do so.
