Thanks Alistair for your stories.I am a retired boomer. I worked in England as a kitchen porter in my university years in late seventies. That was not a cool time at all. I clearly remember the daily IRA problems which piked in lord mountbatten Murder and the city of London controlled by the Police at every corner of the streets. Unimployment, too was a huge problem only milded by the last days of english welfare state. Music was not to bad ti be honest. I remember the top chart in 1979 I don 't like mondays Boomtown rats We don ' t talk anymore Cliff Richards I' m sending out and s.o.s.Police Great job Alistair. Thanks again Keep doing it and bring us a bit of fresh air of British culture. Your new, but from now on, constant and true follower Gianluca I found your podcast listening to your duet with Luke Thompson.

that's great to hear, thank you for this, Gianluca. The late 1970s must have been quite the time to be alive!
