Purdy left it all out on the field today he shouldnt hang his head. He WASNT the issue He played handicapped with 1 WR, a terrible OL, and a subpar running game. Not to mention a terrible head coach. Purdy plays with heart no one can debate that. I love it
They'll eventually have to give him a bigger paycheck. What happens then? The window of opportunity to win a title was last year. Purdy can win the mvp award and still won't win a title unless he has supperior help from his defense and coaching staff.
That was the coaches decision. As Grant mentioned, Kyle is so stubborn that he refused to play the rookies. That is really on Kyle for retaining Ronnie Bell which is below average talent NFL wide receiver.

You're spot on about not playing the Cowing and Green instead of Bell and Yiadom. I think Green may be better than Yiadom but Cowing is definitely a better player than Ronnie Bell who should just get cut.

My problem with grant is his takes are very extreme and bias and opinionated, this one was not! It was straight to the point and hit the nail on the head. The 49ers are officially going back to the 2000s now. They'll never recover from this failure. In fact, the loss in the Super Bowl basically destroyed them physically and mentally. I felt like Wilks should've not been released. Yeah he may have had his bad moments but he wasn't that bad. He was getting better as time went on. He did good keeping the Chiefs to under 20 points in regulation. This new DC is worse. If Wilks was still DC, the Niners would be 3-0 by now since Wilks wouldve been used to the Niners teams by now.

Jake moody is a great kicker… when there is no pressure. When the game is line on the line I don’t trust him. To not trust a kicker in crucial situations makes it hard to be a Super Bowl contender.
I can't remember a game I was so pissed off afterwards. Even the superbowl loses. Ruined Purdy and Jennings fantastic games. Can't stand bell or moody. Get rid of them. Why are we consistently awful on special teams. Expectations are severely lowered. Disgusting performance from defense
Sadly, Grant I have to agree with your assessment! Bad coaching, Really bad special teams, defensive not there. Even Tom Brady could not have pulled this one out! Brock rose to the occasion as did Jennings!
We didn't stack the box on defense the whole game.... We were freaking 2 high safety in the red zone. The Rams had the ball on like the 4 yard line. Stafford audible's out of the play and runs the ball up the middle for a TD... Damn near untouched!
So I looked up how many games BA has had 10 catches in in his career 1! 10 catches 110 yards and 0 TD vs AZ on his rookie year. He only gets 9 catches and 8 catches as his max every other year. So why is Kyle's system not getting him the ball but it let's Juan get 11? Hmmm???
Release/CUT RONNIE BELL!!!. And same deal with Nick Sorensen on Defensive Coordinator. And also the fact that Kyle Shanahan on offense who cannot adjust anything with every loss we face. But the main story who suffocated this embarrassment loss was on Special Teams by Brian Schneider, and so is Defense by Nicolas Sorensen who is the next Steve Wilks 2.0 of how horrible this defense is once again as last week VS Vikings. Decision to fire Wilks walked was a terrible decision. It was scapegoating for Shanahan. The D played alot better than the offense did during the recent SB. Fire that Sorenson guy. Wilks was alot better as DC.

Grant. You forgot to mention the Kyke decided to call pass plays instead of run plays with less than 3 minutes to play. Is Kyle freakin out of his f mind? Run the ball and bleed the clock and pass if need to to get first down. That would have sealed the game despite other mishaps by the players. Kyle always does this in close games.
Grrrrr, I usually strongly disagree with your takes and think you are, overall, a hater. But today, I concede that your takes were spot on. Actually, I would have graded the defense a bit lower.
