Go to football reference and look at RBs who had around 400 touches in a season, almost ALL OF THEM have a MAJOR drop-off the next season, or are injured. That usage is not sustainable, and his injury is literally from over training/over usage, that's what Tendinitis is.

Germany was for stem cell injections. They are number 1 in treatment. They just don't want to say because NFL might be iffy about the treatment.

The moment it was reported that CMC traveled abroad to seek treatment I knew the issue was far worse than the team had led us to believe. Particularly because we have some of the best sports medicine treatment facilities in the world right here stateside. They say he got platelet rich plasma injections. Why go to Germany to get it when they also do them at Stanford health right down the street? It makes no sense “unless” there’s a method of treatment not currently allowed in the U.S.

I had this injury and I will bet he is done for the season. I aggravated it and then popped the Achilles....surgery and 18 months later.

Our choker coach has never taken any blame for any losses but put it on players or defensive coach . He fired Wilkes to show it was not his fault that we lost SB .

The 49ers and CMC must have known about this injury before they paid him an insane level of money and possibly isn't going to play at all this season. They will waste money that could have been used for a replacement trade.

Let’s use some deductive reasoning here. If you knew your best player wasn’t coming back this season would you keep your position group the same and overwork your best player in that group? Or would you be active in bringing in players to share the workload? I don’t think they are lying about CMC because their actions tell me otherwise.

Not necessarily a bad thing to have it in both. I tore my Achilles in one, had it surgically repaired then when I was fully recovered the other side started to flare up from over compensation. Now my body is back to normal it calmed down. So no one knows but Christian and the doctors

One knock on Shanahan, is that when he falls in love with a particular player, he does not move off of that guy. McCaffrey is the best example, but he ran Debo into the ground also in ‘21. shanahan stubbornly sticks with his starters and forsakes his depth

i have elbow tendinitis that just won't go away. my theory is that his pain isn't going away this year but they are "season managing" him. give him half the season or more off then shift to pain management.

😂 Agree. Not sure Cmc will play this season. Can't have enough RBs. Coach Turner is good, but hasn't found a good RBs lately. Laborn n Awatt didn't even make camp. Schrader was picked up by Rams. Drafted Price didn't last long like other RBs. Mitchell is good but injury prone. One issue is Kyle seems to be afraid to use rookies or backups. If they don't have confidence in Taylor or Vaughn, they should release Taylor and poach a guy off someone else's practice squad. Chris Rodriguez is on Washington's practice squad. Isiah Spiller is on the Chargers' practice squad. Keaontay Ingram is on the Chiefs' practice squad. All of those guys are big finishers who could be used in the 4th quarter to spell Mason.

This could be seen coming since late August. Seems to me to be similar to Durant. Calf injuries became Achilles, which ruptured as soon as he played. I'm guessing McCaffrey is in same situation. If he out for season, say so. These BS games hurt more than help. I don't understand the 49ers when it comes to this stuff...but, I'm one of those people who isn't happy with coaching and management. I'm happy the team is better...but I don't see it taking the next step...the same issues every year.

I’m in disbelief the amount of attention this topic is getting. While I understand the significance of CMC and what he means to the 49ers, I truly believe the bloggers, RU-vidrs, beat writers are making a mountain out of a mole hill over Achilles tendinitis (most likely for content) Dre Green law tore his Achilles and his road to recovery gets no where near the attention that tendinitis is getting. Tendinitis is like a broken bone or a torn ligament. There is no time table for a return. It can heal in a day or take months. To say the team isn’t being truthful is absurd. Just because you played a doctor on tv or stayed at a holiday inn once doesn’t mean you predict whether or not he’ll return.

Deebo is supposed to be that extra running back. Give him more carries or screens.

CMC’s s&c/rehab regimen is garbage, and they don’t know how to solve his problems. You’re better off hoping his genetic makeup alone helps him recover. When do these “trainers” get questioned for their incompetence & lack of results? And this just isn’t regarding CMC, it’s regarding a bunch of pro athletes suffering non-contact injuries. They’re less durable than back in the day. It’s like the injuries increased with the advancement of “sports medicine” smh.
