I unsubscribed from Grant because I was SO tired of, as he calls himself, "Quality Control" looking at EVERYTHING through a negative lens. He says himself that he WANTS the team to do bad for his sake. How can I enjoy that as a Niner fan? I want an honest critique backed by facts and wisdom with a positive attitude, and that's why I love David. He earns his clicks the right way.

While I think Lombardi can be a little too positive at times he's most certainly the anti Cohn. He's not playing a character and throwing out click bait material. He's got the most interesting site for Niner material by far. Who else gives u deep researched Niner material with scenic views of Swiss waterfalls or Purdy stats while taking a break from swimming in the Bay. He looks like he's enjoying life and not playing the contrarian Jim Rome Jr asshat that Grant thinks is so intriguing. I click on Grant for a good laugh at his foolishnes. I go to David for actual info on the Niners. These 2 NIner reporters are polar opposites.
The 49ers have proven to draft guys with an eye toward the future. There's a great chance Deebo and Jennings won't be on the team next year, that's why they loaded up on WRs.
Juan is one of my favorite recievers. He is not a number 1 or a 2. His route running isn't top tier. But holy shit when you need that third down this dude will fight like his life is on the line. You can trust him to give it his all. Deebo I used to love to death as a reciever. Now I feel like its a roster spot gone. Too much money for a little bit of production. Nobody is truly worried about him anymore. It's about stopping CMC and Aiuk. Deebo will be traded. He's done.

Kyle Shanahan has completed 5 aerial plays in which a slot receiver will be use deep passes... I don't know what the plays entail. We will see them in training camp. AERIAL ATTACK!!! I think it be similar to the Dolphins. Jacob Cowing is our "Tyrek Hill."
I like the idea of an aerial attack but to say we need to move away from running to do more passing I'm not onboard. Lombardi talks all the time about not forcing the running game...well, on the flipside we shouldn't force the passing game either and I think Kyle has history of forcing the passing game in moments where a solid rush attack will still win us the game. I REALLY like Jordan mason and I hope he gets the rock more this season.
@@texasniner7747 I've been breaking down run/pass splits from each game last season. We were a balanced team early in games. Didn't really lean on the run until they run up the score and need to milk time off the clock. I think this is the best approach moving forward. Game plan based on the opposing team weakness and not try to force run or pass.
Dave your right about a lot of us out here in football land not knowing enough to give proper analysis on things,BUT if there's one thing I know its that the NINERS MUST replace Thomas permanently at DB!! We not have 4-5 guys (Lutter, Green , Womdack, and the 2 free agents) that Thomas MUST GO!!. I've been watching many teams go directly at him whenever they need a first down or a big play for 2-3 years now.Why do the Niners insist on keeping him ????? Grant is awful at what he does, he’s only bitter because the team he grew up around hates him… especially Kyle. He makes drama for clicks but it’s not sounding like he thinks he actually knows better than the coaches.
100%. Especially when Grant made a RU-vid video crying to his Dad because Kyle didn't want to answer his questions. He's also a bandwagon reporter. When we are good, he has nothing but good things to say, but years where we didn't have a good quarterback, he just shits on the niners. He wonders why Kyle doesn't want to answer his questions. You get respect when you give respect.
I find it sad and mildly annoying that there is so much posturing around other peoples (often negative) takes on 49ers issues. We all know we get quality analysis here and that's just unnecessary chatter taking away from the main message.
Deebo doesn’t separate until he has the ball. Then, he separates the defender from his cleats. We’ll use him this year to bust zones with YAC, next year he may be too expensive. We’ll see. Pearsall is a good athlete. But we all know if you aren’t physical and can’t block you will not see the field… Kyle will make sure of that. Cowing us small but has been known to be a good blocker. Still waiting for Danny Gray to show up btw.

It foolish to predict how any rookie will do from rookie training camp. I remember when everyone gave Trey Lance the nod as a the next great QB. How did that work out?? Pre season showed Trey weakness. Pre Season games will give one some idea how a player will do during a real game. Only real games is a way to tell how a player will do in this league.
The QB position is way more difficult to stabilize than any other position on the roster. We drafted multiple WRs in this year's drafts with hopes just one becomes a A-list player.
To take those vacations all over the world he's got to have some serious money from somewhere. It's certainly not from writing for The Athletic. I enjoy Lombardi but he's also a big foodie. That cost some serious money as well. Just living in SF is incredibly expensive not to mention his wife who looks like she likes the good life also. I know he went to Stanford so he's got to be rolling in some big time cake. Cohn on the other hand looks like he lives in a hovel. Maybe that's why he's such an annoying prick.

I understand what you're saying but creating "controversy" makes it harder for me to enjoy following the team. There is already enough controversy and drama in a season. Creating more and dwelling on it just makes it less fun.
The way i see it....we are all 49ers fans. And the two sides of content that we all absorb, should really just have a show together. Itd be phenomenal. I just want to see it happen.
