Absolutely! Now we have 3 guys who excel against man coverage- Aiyuk, Jennings, Ricky and Cowing can take the top off. 4.38-40 ( FASTEST WR AT COMBINE 14.96 MPH IN FIRST 5 YARDS OF 40!) Cowing played the X as well in college. He can run the whole route tree, obviously not ideal against press with his size but Shanahan's creative motion can fix some of that

I had a thought about Cowing Ant, he has the best acceleration in the draft class, hits over 13MPH in the first 5 yds. Kyle wants tk use him for the "cheat' play MIA uses with Hill where he gets a running start, he tried it with Deebo and it failed.

It's definitely something Kyle is going to use. He really added that exit motion a lot last season. I think you are right. Cowing and Pearsall could be great using it. Creates natural separation, and with the speed, it could make for big plays

Thanks Ant. This receiver room is deeper than at any time in the ShanLynch era. I think it may point to a bit of a shift in philosophy for Shanahan, in that he might be throwing more than ever. I dare other teams to stack the box on this WR group.

It definitely could be. It's going to fun to see how Kyle Shanahan uses all of the weapons.

I thing Gray would have the edge over Bell simply because it would be easier for bell to make it to PS due to draft position and measurables, all else equal

Ant, wr room is looking good and somebody’s getting cut or traded for a sack of nuts probally Bell or Gray. Next year JJ is gone because somebody’s gonna offer him more $ or traded this year before the trade deadline especially if Pearsall shines and picks up the offense and Deebo will be traded next year. Ant I think the 49ers will keep six receivers and only three tight ends this year and Cowing is a lock! Some combination of Taylor, Conley or Martin make the practice squad. Jmtc🤔 Aiyuk,Deebo,JJ,Pearsall,Cowing,Bell,Gray,Taylor,Conley,Martin,Owens.

Pearsall is already a better wr everywhere then deebo except for the power and running with the ball already in his hands, it's not a knock deebo is awesome. Pearsall is that good though.

Bell is on this team over gray, he was able in his forat year to go out there and play with confidence and he's newer so can still project development onto of him already being more confident and comfortable out there, he's also a better player fit with Purdy as well as far as skill set. They will send gray to the practice squad and see if he makes it through or they ask conely to do the okie doke and come back to the practice squad on a donte "the barnacle" Johnson deal. Tay Martin was looking decent too but pearsall is a lock starter to take someone's place and recieve a 2nd contract imo.

I like how Pearsall runs routes and is able to get open consistently. Can't wait to see him go against the 49ers secondary in camp.
