I try not to hide much. I want this channel to be as honest as possible because I know people are out there fighting the same battles I am and sometimes simply knowing you’re not on your own is really helpful. It also keeps me motivated to make changes in my life
This is the first channel I’ve seen that is actually real!!! Real house, real full time working lady and not a silly “pristine RU-vid house” with real life. Getting annoyed I haven’t done all the jobs I should’ve done Thank you 🙏🏻
Hi, I have just found your channel I really enjoyed it. Just keep at it you will get there I have been doing my house up for 11 years 😂well done on the 4am starter. That's what time I get up not by choice 2 dogs and four cats and 4 chickens usually need feeding and toileting. But I get on with my chores.

As you don’t appear to have much storage space in your kitchen, would it work if you put your bins just outside the back door and put a shelf unit or sideboard where the bins are now? This is just a suggestion as when you bring your dryer in and put the fridge up onto the bench you’re going to lose more space. 😊
It’s definitely not ideal. We are out in the countryside if we put the bins outside wildlife and local cats are going to make a real mess, but I like your thinking. It’s also hard enough to get anyone to put their rubbish in the bin while it’s in the kitchen if they suddenly had to go outside to throw it away, absolutely nothing would end up in a bin lol
@@RaquelTrotter oh bugger, I totally understand. Maybe you could talk your landlord into putting up some wall cabinets above the bin area? It’s such a tiny kitchen, I think you’re doing well to cope with it tbh 😊😘
Thrift stores or charity shops as they’re called where you live😊,are great for finding items. You need a shelf,a cabinet,decor,sometimes if you go to one that has renovation items,they’re so much cheaper than brand new. Most of my furniture,etc comes from thrift shops. Most of my clothing too. Except panties,bras,socks,lol
I love charity shops we have brought loads of furniture from them, our whole life together has been second hand. The problem is everything is mismatched and just doesn’t work together so we are in the process of getting everything new, matching and cohesive. There’s nothing wrong with charity shops you can get some great bargains, but now my children have grown up I would really like to buy new and have the theme I want rather than just having to wait for what I can find in second hand stores. This might take me years to do, but one room at a time I’ll get there.
I get it. My kids are grown and I would love 2 love seats (2 seater sofas) in my living room. Brand new would be lovely. My daughter and her husband and 2 kids are living with us now,so my husband says when they move out we can get new. We recently bought a brand new refrigerator,no one else’s food ever got moldy in it.
Dog howling with the curtains. When u open them if he starts shut them again and say no then open them again and keep repeating the same proses over until he stops this could take a few mornings xxx
Worth a try not sure how my neighbours would take to repeated howling every morning. I suppose if I wait until a reasonable part of the day to open them then it won’t be so bad. I shall give it a try. Thank you
I work in a hotel as a housekeeper so changing beds and cleaning bedrooms and bathrooms ready for the next guest. It’s fast pace, 20mins a room, and lots of hard work. I love it though
Maybe try putting the dog in the garden then opening the curtains when it isn't in the room. Also I think those new heat pump systems are supposed to be powered by solar panels to be energy efficient and yes your right in order for them to be efficient you would probably need new windows, cavity wall insulation and more loft insulation for the home to keep warm so yes alot of money will need to be spent to make it actually efficient.
Well we are working on Woody with the curtains. Until the fence is in I can’t leave him outside unattended because the neighbour will walk her dog right up close to the fence real slow. Woody is in no way aggressive but he is a vocal dog and if he starts getting excited at a new friend at the fence line it will probably be reported as aggressive and then we have all that rubbish to deal with. The contractors have done all their assessments and are making recommendations to the HA about what improvements need doing so hopefully we will be ok when that goes in

Do you think the counter top is strong enough the hold the weight of the fridge? Are you not exhausted by the time you get to work? My goodness you did a lot. Maybe when you open the curtains your dog is asking to go out to potty. My dogs know as soon as we get up and go to the kitchen, they are going out to potty and get excited.🦋❤️🦋❤️🦋❤️
Yeah the counter has had the fridge on it before. I’m always tired when I get home from work I work in a hotel as housekeeping so it’s not a very relaxing job lol, great fun but hard work. The dog has been out several times by the time I open the curtains. We are up at 4am and I normally open the curtains when the sun comes up. Woody, the dog, also has pretty much free access to the garden unless it’s a cold day but he normally goes to the back door and shoves his head out of the cat flap if we have the door closed and he wants to potty. I’ve tried opening the curtains at different times of the day as well just incase it was a timing issue with something but never fail Woody will make silly noises when I open them. 🤣
It’s possible but we can open the curtains at anytime of the day and he will do it, we can also open them when the back door is open and he will make the noise and then charge out of the back door. I’m wondering if he thinks someone is at the front door as we would look out of this window to see if someone was coming to the door
Just take your time do one room at a time get that room to a Standard you are Happy with and every part of that room is complete then move on you will get there good luck
This is what I am hoping to do every pay day I shall get some bits to do up one part of the house and keep going until it’s all done. I’m not great with patients though I won’t it all do and quick hence why it’s like it is
you now where people make hot drinks why not get a glass board or a tray to put on the surface we have one and it helps to stop stains as ours are wooden work tops so they need protecting x
We had a glass board people spilled round it or it would get messy during the night ( my teens seem to be nocturnal) and instead of cleaning it up they would just make mess somewhere else on the counters so it seemed pointless to keep
