It's always been that season. RU-vidrs always said do what works for your hair, but ppl took that as, "I'll buy what my favorite natural haired youtuber buys/has". Fast forward, now ppl "hate the natural hair community "🙄 lol

I rinse my deep conditioner in the sink, I can't be in the shower for an additional 30 mins while my conditioner marinates and once I'm out, I'm out! 😁

After I got saved, I started and continue to get a stronger relationship with God everything got and is getting better. My thinking, my relationships with people, my life and I have someone who I can rely on which is God. I only shampoo my hair in the sink 🤷🏾‍♀️ I find it’s so much faster than the shower for me. And then when I finish deep conditioning, I don’t have to get back into the shower.

I always wash my hair in the sink. It's so much easier and I tend to think that I'm not wasting as much water. I also feel kinda weird about washing in the shower like it's too much water getting in my eyes lol

To be fair, that's 4C/D/Z hair for you 😂It's normal for all humans to lose between 50 to 100 strands of hair a day. With 4C hair being as textured as it is, it's possible for that shed hair to stay intertwined with our other strands until we do a thorough detangle, which typically happens during wash day. I do my extended hair wash routine once a month, so the reveal of shed hair is REAL. Based off losing 50 to 100 strands of hair a day, that could range from 1500 to 3000 strands of shed hair that could need a little help being removed. Just my two cents.

The kitchen sink hair washing thing is an American thing. We don't do that in the motherland. We would never even think of doing that. I use a handheld shower extension

I think we black Americans use the sink, due to our history with relaxers. It's easier to stand at a sink to rinse out a relaxer, without it getting everywhere.

@@phoshedecat It's easier to stand at the sink, then bend over a tub, and many ppl i knew growing up, didn't have a detachable shower head. Plus, like I said before, clean up was easier, because the relaxer didn't get everywhere. Lol, but it's interesting that other ppl find it weird

Finally someone with short type 4 hair My hair is longer these days but before i knew how to take care of my hair my hair was short (since my hair broke off) but everyone used to call me nappy headed and compare my hair to snakes and french fries so seeing girls with type 4 hair that isn't down to your back or waist length made me happy
