It's been about three years since I published Chant of Mirth, and I know you guys have been asking for this for quite a while, so here it is!
Chi-Chi and I are very proud to present "Chant of Benevolence". She did an amazing job with her vocals, and she put a ton of effort into her part! She really takes the stage in this one!

I might be just over thinking it, yet this is what I've gotten from each of the chants. Chant of Immortality: The ability to remember and cherish memories, and a warning of wasting time whilst not making new memories. Chant of Mirth: The ability to make someone happy with a simple act of joy, and a warning to go away from hatred because it will only cause more sadness. Chant of Benevolence: The ability to show kindness to others even if that act is small, and a warning of losing the ability to show kindness with time.

For me chant of immortality reminds me of how I still somehow know faintly what I know deap inside, as if it was an important memory, and Im not letting it go. Even tho there are so many phases of what you think is real, this thing is still in my rememberence I cant just forget something so important. Chant of Merth reminds me of how true joy comes from charity. The joy doenst come from the world. Chant of Allegience reminds me of sticking to whats right nomader what!! I stand for good and light. Also has to do with the same thing as Chant of Imortality. Look my life is linda baced off it, ok? Lol Chant of truth i dont remember but truth is much bigger then what we usually think, but we can hear it in song still. Chant of Selflessness is that being good to others is just the best nomader what. Even if all is broken, its the way I love to live. Chant of Benevolence IDK still lol. I dont know all the wirds, its hard to hear in this version but ill look them up at one point.

"Thy sorrows be forgotten" Oh how I wish. I love this line. It feels like Fluttershy is actually there, battling away all my fears and pain. Your entire chant series brought something to me that I didn't know I was missing. Immortality brought me Clarity, Benevolence brought me Safety, Selflessness brought me Happiness, Mirth brought me Comfort, Truth brought me Release, and Allegiance brought me Courage. I can't tell you how much these chants have helped me this week. Your kindness, loyalty, generosity, happiness, and honesty will live on forever as magic in the hearts of those you have touched. You've touched my heart, 4everfreebrony, and I didn't know I needed it. Thank you. You have no idea how much your music has done for me.

These songs feel like a rare representation of what i feel deap inside, which im pretty happy about and love accually seeing a fandan that has similer feelings as me, but I still feel like the only one who was this way for as long as i can remember. I never wanted to loose it. I hope others can find it to. I hope i can find people who care about the same things as me.

This song is one of the best song in Chant series cause not only it have an unique tradition melody but also we can see more Fluttershy personality. She is the one can get through pain with unbreakable mind

I don't know if the song is the best in the chant series, but it shows Fluttershy as the strongest character. Both the song and MLP canon show it: Fluttershy is _incredibly_ powerful, and if she was selfish and power hungry, she could easily bend Equestria to her will, with the combination of physical and psychological strength. She has the power of mind-control, and greater physical strength than any other character in the series. But she chooses not to use these strengths unless she actually needs to. The ultimate battle in MLP would be between Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Discord; but if it was a real battle, Fluttershy is the only one of the three that would take it seriously, and would likely win as a result, especially when considering that she was able to convince Discord to stop harming ponies/people. Fluttershy could enforce her benevolence on everyone. None of the others have the means to do that for their own element. But Fluttershy chooses not to, because it would be hypocritical if she did. Fluttershy is *terrifying.* This isn't a joke or exaggeration. She is possibly the most powerful entity in any work of fiction that has ever existed. She can manipulate *gods.* I believe Yahweh would capitulate to her. I think Chant of Selflessness is the best song; but Fluttershy, as described in the Chant of Benevolence, is unambiguously the most powerful character.

Fluttershy's stare is simultaneously horrifying and endearing. It's as if it's trying to tear apart my soul at the same time as it's trying to empower and liberate it. This is the essence of benevolence: letting me be whatever I can be, while also revealing to me what it is, and what I am. I'm inspired to be good, while it reveals the goodness in me. Simultaneously it reveals all the flaws, and I hate them, but I *must* resolve them: I follow along as the shadows have gone and walk where time has torn, with no clue of where I'm going, but knowing, deep down, at some fundamental level, that I am going in the right direction.

I love this track so much, when I first heard it I was astonished. You & Chi-Chi really crafted an amazing story with this. The intro is well done & ahhhh I can't get over it. I literally squeed with joy when I saw this in my sub feed. I've loved all your chants and was especially exited for a Fluttershy one. She's my favorite pone and my friends know how I have a very special love for all the seasons, so having it based on Fluttershy and seasons passing is just too perfect. I seriously don't know why someone hasn't called you to do the music or songs for some TV show or movie or something. Seriosuly, if I ever do anything when I grow up and need a song you'll be one of the first I call. lol

@@pensive7270 Oh yes. I'm a HUGE FoE fan. I've read all the popular sidefics - except Heroes, but I'll be getting around to that after I finish Duck and Cover. Anyway, yes, I have read Horizons AND I LOVE IT. Some people had an issue with it towards the end, and I can see that. Some questionable story choices, but I quite enjoyed the book through and through. Definitely worth the (quite long) read. The very end of the final chapter is just *mwah*! By chapter 8 you've only barley been introduced to Glory. As the story goes by, loads of other characters get introduced, and we see them grow and see how deep their characters are. PH is easily my favourite FoE sidefic, and I'd totally recommend picking it up again.

I am late coming to the fandom. Though I watched since the beginning, I laid low to avoid "those kinds" of bronies for aaaaaall these years. My inner pony fan, a year after the show ended, finally started to bloom. I do believe that now the show's over, those who remain near the Dreamer's Door are the least likely to instigate. This album, which I only just discovered, puts the nail in the coffin. I start wearing my "pony fan" badge today, in MLPFIM's sunset.

This chant sounds like a lullaby for animals about to hibernate for the winter, which is befitting Fluttershy (who might prefer "Hush now, Quiet now" but finds this version more profound and meaningful since her animals will be sleeping for longer then just one night). I also think it could have been passed down her mother's side of the family for generations, as Fluttershy's mother is a pegesi who grows flows and sings the chant of benevolence to cope with not having to work in the garden for a while... thus explaining the significance in finding colors in every month like blue, auburn (orange), grey, and white.

I'm still trying to figure out the lyrics. (Chi-Chi) Bright inviting morn Brilliant rays reborn So follow along As the shadows have gone Walk where time has torn Up until the last line, it still sounds like we are talking about Fluttershy. Are we talking about literally torn time or just bad memories? (both) September Blue, Thy sorrows be forgotten October Auburn, Let this season pass November Gray, Restore with thy rain December White, Thy beauty ever last Mostly lost on the meaning of the chorus. The seasons and colors don't seem directly related to Fluttershy unless it's just a metaphor for letting go of bad memories. Fluttershy doesn't really have a lot of bad memories to let go of though. However, all those colors appear on Discord. Given that assumption and that we have two singers, maybe the song overall is about Fluttershy extending her kindness to Discord and helping him heal? I couldn't find any other discussion on the lyrics and the comments don't have a decent way to search, so I thought I'd throw that out and see what people think.

Regarding the months, they tell a story. It doesn't necessarily have to do with Fluttershy, but more with being kind and forgiving. It just means these things happened during those months: Sorrows, then trying to move on, then cleansing, and then finding lasting happiness. Regarding the last line in verse 2, it just means where memories are made, but could also refer to a place that has been poorly treated. I hope this helps.

It's good to know just what you were thinking for this one because some of them can pack complexity or metaphor into a line very well. I guess that's why Selflessness is my favorite, I feel like I understand that one the best.

@@ikth7 That one is the simplest, really. It tells a straightforward story and relates a slightly more complex version of "One man's trash is another man's treasure."
