As an American, I've always loved airshows and military aviation. There was always something about the Mig-21 that made it one of my favorites. The lines are perfect. Both beautiful and feral. When I lived in Houston there was a group that owned a Mig-21 that would bring it to the "Wings Over Houston" Airshow at Ellington Airfield. I always went to check it out. It looks even better in person. Don't pass up a chance to see it close up.
So nice to see an aircraft being flown completely by the pilot.... It is so neat to see the MiG being so reactive to the wind, the pilot inputs etc with no computers in between
Same mig21 shot down 1 f16 jet on 27 February 2019 and also 4 migs dropped 4 bombs of 1000 kg each killed around 300 terrorists in Pakistan based terror camps. Same mig21 in India its 50 years old we are using it and we're proud on this beast We are pleased because our enemy is not using it.
@@shashankmuley1833 1) stop spamming 2) we dont care that your 50 year old mig 21 shot down ONE F-16. Its not that the mig 21 being "better" than the F-16, the mig-21 pilot was just more aware. P.S there is no direct proof that a mig 21 shot down that pakistani F-16

Just retired at 65 , Qatar Airways B 777 . But I Miss My Fighter Pilot years . " Cavancha Tower , GLADIATOR 4 planes 50 feet , 350 knots , request crosscontrol West to East " I was the Leader of four A - 37 Dragonflys , 20 years old in a training flight, coming from the West extremely low over the Pacific Ocean to the Atacama Desert. When I see how sensitive this Mig 21 controls are ...I still envy this guys ! First Lieutenant, Air Force of Chile ( Ret.)
I still love the older cold war fighters, real jets for real pilots! I know the modern aircraft are much more capable but I love these classics. Still look impressive when displayed like this.
Truly one of the best fighter interceptor ever made. Agile , rugged a nightmare in the right hands. Some air forces in an attempt to cut there budgets are having their fishbed upgraded by Israel's aviation industry. Oh boy.
You are very right about the Mig-21 Fishbed being a very stern foe in the right hands. Has shot down more planes than the F-15 Eagle or F-16 Falcon, but migflug.com combat record 250 kills for 501 lost. But an Indian Mig-21 Fishbed has downed a Pakastani F-16A Falcon, though Pakastan and United States denie this every happened. Got to hide the truth when your 8 Million dollar plane is toasted by a 1 million dollar 50 year designed plane. We don't like that so we denie this every time it favors someone else.
Beautiful jet aircraft. Still a challenging adversary after that many years. Noted an incredible roll rate and very good handling at high alphas. Please, hope RIAT will make this type a must in the upcoming years. Specially beautiful video!!!.
3:34 Here we can see that, in order to stay relevant in futuristic air combat scenarios, the modernized MiG-21 has incorporated optical camouflage technology, allowing it to blend into the background almost perfectly.
Funny or not I live near a military base here in Romania And at 18 June its an Airshow here And every mig21 passing by its very hard to see if the sky is clear or little cloudy

Fantastic display. I am completely surprised at the low altitude high-g maneuvering. Amazing and I hope there still was some safety margin left... BTW, does the landing gear create the necessary drag to permit the low radius, or is it coupled with some other aero aids/flight software override? Anyway, amazing flying and outatanding filming! Thanks
Dear Knight Flight Video would it be possible to use a 2-minute sequence of this rare air display of the MIG 21 for an educational project that will not be shown publicly or online?
This is the Mig 21 Lancer, probably the most advanced version of the Mig 21. For India ofcourse the most advanced Mig 21 is the Mig 21 Bison which were upgraded between 1995 to 2003.
@@CyrusInIndia No brother I have got that info on Google that, bison is latest of mig 21 jet family and it's a highest capable of them and with the lastest technology like radars and Missiles it more than f 16 in every scenario except thrust and afterburning thrust..
@@lexaz4532 Nothing to do with it. Aerobatics with landing gear down and full afterburner are much harder due to increased air drag, it's about the skills of the pilot and power of the aircraft.
I wonder if you can hear the air rushing through the cockpit from the air inlet to the engine ? This is just a statement and I'm not looking for an answer. Especially from so called utube experts. When ever someone asks a question, people are ready to jump in and comment. I'm not looking for an answer. There, I said it twice.
This was beast which challenged an F16 in combat in kashmir(shot it down) And yes for those troll Pakistan, the mig was shot and the Indian proudly accepted it But the Pakistani were ashamed to accept the loss of their f16 plane and pilot
